I had no money in my cash app and I see no withdrawals from my bank account.

2025.02.01 21:50 Mundane_Meeting_7939 Legitimate Q: Why do servers suck and why should we be ok with it?
Just help me understand. Early Access to me = the game has bugs, sometimes it glitches, sometimes it crashes. This game is far less functional than that and they’ve almost raised $1B.
I’m talking hours every week wasted queuing in or dealing with just BASIC functionality and the more we look into this, it seems like they’re causing it. Throttling servers etc.
Am I just stupid? If I am just help me understand why this is normalized/ok in this community when it feels like such a low bar vs other games (early access or otherwise). I’m not an engineer

2025.02.01 21:50 OngoingObligation Independent Tax Auditors - what are your opinions?
Hi guys,
This is a question for those redditors who believe everyone should be paying their taxes when they fall due.
An issue that plagues the tax system currently is the large scale corporate tax planning perpretated by big enterprises that have the resources to minimise their tax. This leads to ordinary small business owners being frustrated by audits of their tax compliance by the ATO as they think that the ATO has bigger fish to fry.
An idea I had was the following, and I wanted to bounce this idea off you all, so some detailed feedback from experts would be excellent:
Context: 1. ATO uses data matching to assess how your business is performing in reference to your "next neighbour" (similar businesses in your area) 2. ATO audits are limited, and many taxpayers get away with either incorrect reporting and record keeping for the first couple of years, or for a long time without repercussions, if a large tax debt arises from an audit after this time period, the taxpayer may be put into dire straits financially (as they should have paid their tax or kept correct records) 3. In my work, I have come across numerous clients with records put together only as a result of an audit, in which case as the ATO does not have any records to support their claims, they are majority disadvantaged by the short (30-180 day) audit window.
My thoughts are as follows: 1. Just as SMSF auditors exist, having a tax agent service of "Independent Tax Auditing" (which already exists of course but stick with me) 2. Using data matching, the ATO can automatically send letters out to taxpayers who may fall outside of what their predicted performance is. This letter will recommend they seek out an independent tax audit of their books. 3. This auditor will assess the record keeping of the entity, and provide a voluntary disclosure to the ATO if there are any discrepancies along with a report on how the entity has been keeping records etc.
This would give the ATO more time to pursue higher risk entities with their manpower, and incentivise voluntary disclosures and correct record keeping ongoing 1. If the ATO does not receive a report from an external auditor, this will be a mark against the clients name too, and would increase their risk of an audit.
Of course, there are definitely downsides to this, especially cost etc. but there is already things like tax audit insurance that would assist businesses as well.
Positives and negatives would be greatly appreciated, along with expert opinions as well!

2025.02.01 21:50 TheOnceAndFutureDoug Super thin USB-C to USB-A cables for running through a monitor arm?
I have a Fully Jarvis dual monitor arm atop which sits my Sony A7CR and Rode VideoMic NTG. Is this the most unnecessary Zoom setup in the world? Yes, but I already had this stuff so I might as well use it, right?
I'm running into a problem where the lower section of the monitor arm does not have a lot of space for running cables (which seems like a huge oversight to me). I'm looking to swap out my cables with some thinner ones and I'm having trouble finding cables that are as thing as I'd like them.
My requirements are:
- As thin as possible but not flat. Because of how you hide cables in these arms flat cables will make my life harder.
- Type-C on one end preferably with Type-A on the other. I can use adapters for the A side if I need to but I'd prefer a single cable.
- One cable can be 480 Mbps for the mic but the camera has to have 5 Gbps because it transmits a video signal.
- Both of these need to send power. I can't find hard numbers but Google's AI says the camera can draw up to 27 W of power. No idea how accurate that is. I can't imagine the mic draws a lot.
- Both cables need to be 6' as they have to run through the monitor arm and down underneath my desk to a hub.
- Bonus points if I can get them colored but this is the least important requirement by far.
Any suggestions? Best I can find are maybe these Monoprice cables...

This isn't a review of a video, but it was inspired by this Emma Thorne video.
In the video, Emma reacted to a theist asking, "If God got involved, then where is the free will?" Emma responded with something like, "Have you read the Bible? That's what he did. His whole thing is getting involved." It is a good point. I have had similar thoughts, but Emma put it very succinctly.
The "free will" argument is something modern Christians have to resort to because we don't see God openly intervening in modern life. We don't see pillars of fire, oceans splitting, Modern Christian miracles tend to be modest. God helps people find lost kittens, find $50 bills on the sidewalk when they need money, scoring a touchdown in the big game, getting well (after getting medical attention), or having a warm fuzzy feeling. They are the kind of things that still happen to me as an atheist.
Jesus said that future Christians would do miracles like he did. Where are they? We see people like Appalacian Snake Handlers who play-act doing miracles. We see videos of Peter Popov and other fake fail healers who use trickery and lies to fake miracles. The promise was not conditional. Acts has stories about miracles, even after Jesus ascended. So where are the real miracles?
One point she did not address, was why modern miracles would violate free will. The Pharoah and other Egyptians saw the miracles, but they didn't immediately follow Moses (well, Moses was dead, so he couldn't follow, but he saw a lot of miracles before he died). Jesus was supposedly running around Jerusalem and Galilee doing miracles, but it didn't result in everyone in the area joining him. According to the Bible, miracles did not force people to follow. Miracles didn't violate free will in the Bible. So why would modern miracles violate free will?

Last year on Zep I had to pay full price until I met my deductible. I was bracing myself for the huge price tag when Walmart pinged me with the estimated cost of $24.99. I was sure it was a mistake and expected a price change at pickup but it never happened.
I don’t know what happened (to my knowledge my plan didn’t change and Zep was always in our formulary) to lower the price, but I’m so excited and so grateful.
I’m just a few pounds away from 70lbs down. These meds are absolutely unreal.
I’m so glad I took the leap in April last year.

I have an issue with siblance (misophonia) and can't stand hearing sharp sounds especially in voices. I currently use earphones that don't have any EQ adjustment so anything will be an improvement.
I pretty much only listen to audiobooks and long form YouTube videos with lots of talking for many hours each day. I spend more time sampling narrator's than looking for stories. Some people naturally talk with lot's of hisses so I don't know how much EQ will help me, but I live in hope.
Is there a brand that has better EQ adjustment than others? I've heard Sennheiser has great sound and the ability to really customise it. Is this true or are other brands similar? Sennheiser Momentum 4s and Bose Quiet Comfort are on my radar. Any advice?

I've done a little bit of research but this is all very new to me and I'm confused what is and isn't possible. Ideally I'd like to mount a couple panels to the roof of my truck, run wiring to some kind of very small device that would include USB ports where I could charge stuff while the sun is shining. I’m not a scalper, didn’t use bots, had to use a VPN since I had really bad timing and was in Hungary for work, internet connection was terrible and I was using the Best Buy app.
From what I can tell I’m just wildly lucky. I missed it the first couple drops from 6 am, got it the last one they had. The first couple times I got into line and was dropped out after a few minutes when it sold out. The last time I decided to take a risk and instead of refreshing the page I kept clicking the add to cart that was there from my sold out attempt. It kept saying it couldn’t add it to cart because it sold out for 20 minutes, then magically it went in on the next drop.
I was able to add it, switch to delivery and check out. It said delivery by February 20 but FUCKING SHOWED UP TODAY BITCHES YAAAAYYYYYYYYY.
Just wanted to post this to brag but also say hey, a few lucky souls that actually want to game and do stable diffusion got one. Let’s goooooooo
