With what model years did Ford stop allowing drivers to keep their air recirculate on?
I recently got a 2021 F150, and the air recirculate turns off after several minutes, and I can't figure a way to keep it on unless using max heat or cold.
I can't do noxious smells and pollen, as they can make me ill, and I need the recirculate to stay on to keep me from getting sick.
It seems this is a mandatory feature of newer Fords.

Side note: I (13F) kind of understand how to format these (I listen to a lot of AITA podcasts while doing tasks) but I created an account just for this, so forgive me if it's kind of hard to understand)
Background, a year ago my mom (42F) and dad(45M) divorced (a day after my birthday might I add) but they had been seperated for a few months. My dad lives in a new house with his wife (38F, recently married) and my mom now lives in an apartment complex in the same town. The custody schedule is half and half and we meet at a medical center about halfway from his house to hers and vice versa.
My mom has always hated my stepmom. (I don't like calling her that, so I'll just refer to her by her name, Liz) Understandably so, from what I know my dad was cheating while they were still married with her. Unfortunately, she's hard to hate. She's relatively kind and cooks for me and my two older and one younger brothers sometimes. I have her number on my phone which my dad and her pay forand we don't necessarily talk on their much anyway.
Yesterday night, my older brother (15M) wanted to go on a night run, (It was about 10pm and dark out) and said "Dad would let me." My mom was actually in a good mood, and instead of takng that to heart she laughed and called my dad in a way to say "Bet". My dad didn't answer, so my two brothers (the eldest one, (18M) was at work) rang him as well. he declined as well when I came out of my ro. I tried him and it also went to voicemail. My younger brother(9M), Nathan, mentioned he sent him a text along the lines of "hey dad can you call mom for something rq".
I replied by saying about ten minutes earlier I texted dad casually, "Hey dad" just to have a conservation. Unfortunately, at that same time, I received a text from Liz. Her full name is Elizabeth but to try and stop my mom from freaking out, i had her contact as "Elenor". I quickly but subtly turned off my phone and kept talking but my mom responded, "did you just get a text from a boy?" I shook my head and she looked at my phone. I felt the mood shift so fast. "Elenor? Who's Elenor, OP?" I replied, "Elly." (Elly is the nickname my and my siblings use for Liz because it's how our father introduced her)
My mom got heated and said "Her names not Elenor. Why are you texting her?" ..it was a photo of our dog over there. That's all the text was, but my mother stopped everything and slammed the door to her room. I heard her start weeping and I was sort of frozen. She texted me.
Mom: You are no longer allowed to bring your phone to my house. You can talk to "Elenor" when your at her home.
Me: Oh okay
Mom: I'm making you choose me or her you don't get to have a text message with her.
Me: I can block her
Mom: But you didn't. This is the woman that broke up our family and you're perfectly f*cking fine having a text thread with her.
ten minutes later
Mom: My only daughter, betrayed by my girl
I sent her a screenshot of her contact under "Unblock caller" meaning she's blocked and she read it two hours later without a response (I was asleep when she read it)
After she slammed the door, about a half hour later I slowly opened the door and saw her asleep in bed. I decided to leave her to sleep and had a different plan. I grabbed an empty container basket thing and placed a mug (she had already owned) with a k-cup inside, a bracelet I made with her initial, a snack bar she had already had in the pantry, a salty snack she had already had in the pantry and a handwritten letter that basically said "I'm sorry. I didn't realize it would affect you the way it did. I love you."
Yes, it wasn't much at all. But I'd made a similar one before and after she'd used it I said "sorry it's nothing new" and she said "it's the thought that counts" so I thought she'd might like it. I made it because she goes to work at 7am and it's a Friday night, so I wouldn't be up that early. I wake up at 8:30 ish and check the box. Completely untouched. There's a completely different used K-Cup in the coffee maker. She didn't even touch the note. I felt hurt.
She hasn't come home yet (about 3 hours until her shift ends) so I don't know if she's still upset. I'll probably update once she's back and actually communicates with me, but I need to get something straight so I ask, Am I The A-Hole?
