Hello everyone,
I was in an interview process earlier this week for Bloomberg 2025 Data Management professional. I made it past the initial HR round, 2 technical interviews that were an hour each and made it to the final round which was a 30 minute behavioral interview. It was fairly basic and standard questions and I thought I answered them really well. I even shared my screen to show a project I worked on and walked through it in STAR format. The only possible downsides I can think of was that I might have spoken for too long in some of my responses, but overall I would say it was a solid interview, even better than my past rounds for the role that I was able to move past.
2 days later I get a generic rejection email. This was extremely sad and disappointing because I had made it past so much and I thought a 30 minute behavioral shouldn't be that hard to clear and ultimately land the job. I genuinely don't know why I got rejected. I reached out to my recruiter for feedback and I am considering applying to the same job again since the application is open.
I wanted to ask am I cooked? its already the start of february now and I don't have a job or have any active interview processes. Do companies even hire any more or is it all done?? Any thoughts or feedback or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Have been to Roatán, Costa Rica, Aruba, Hawaii (10-12 times) and the Bahamas. Ideally want something besides those locations. We will have a 14 year old in tow.

 | Hello Community, I have the opportunity to detail this heavy equipment . I detail cars on the side but never done something like this. I have a full detail shop to use and a heated pressure washer. only has 100 hours on the machine. I wish I had better photos but this all I have unfortunately. Pretty much he asked me to wash the inside and outside and put a coat of wax on it. He has a couple of these and he said if the pricing and work is good, he’d like me to do the other. I (25M) work in fine dining where I live for the past year and a half, although I have a lot of gripes and the job sometimes makes me pull my imaginary hair out, I wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s a very CUSHY restaurant job too; 50% off food, easy work for good money, I’m doing everything I can to stay there as long as possible until I finish school and get my dream job. As far as attendance and discipline goes, I keep my nose fairly clean besides the sometimes running late to work or looking unprofessional in the way of wearing my anxiety on my face, bottom line being I don’t get into trouble very often. Today, we were supposed to have a meeting at 12:30pm, and I woke up at 12:35. I slept through 2 alarms that I set the night before to give myself plenty of time to get ready and also grab food otw to work. My boss calls me at 12:35 and as I’m scrambling to get dressed and that I can be there in the next 35 minutes (that’s how far I live from work), my boss says there’s no use due to that they’ll be done by then and that he’d catch me later next week to give me a rundown. I send a follow up text afterwards profusely apologizing and that I can come earlier in the week on my day off, and my boss stated that while he understands and appreciates the apology, I’ve had plenty of notice about the meeting and that it wasn’t fair that my coworkers had to be there and I wasn’t, followed by that we’d discuss it when he’s there on my shift we’ll talk about it as well as the situation for missing a mandatory meeting. I’m not dodging responsibility or accountability for my actions, I even agreed with him that this was inexcusable, but now I’m just worried I’ve jeopardized my job over a mistake. I told my boss I understand the gravity of said situation and that rest assured this won’t be a habit going forward.
I’m just fucking scared, guys. My job is honestly one of the few good things I have going for me besides my family and friends. I’ve already made preparations for how to be better going forward, I even bought a real alarm clock and set it for the same time every day to wake up for work or otherwise. But this job is like the most important thing to me right now; this job helped me find my passion for food, and I don’t wanna lose it due to an embarrassing mistake like this.
TL;DR: I overslept for a work meeting and now I’m on thin ice and I’m scared my life is gonna spiral out of control.

The flavors all meld together, the tomato paste with the couscous, olive oil, onions, spinach, and others, to create something that is really more than the sum of its parts. This recipe also goes very well with yogurt. I have adapted the recipe slightly from Gil Marks's book "Olive Trees and Honey." 8 oz chopped celery (2 cups) 8 oz chopped parsley (2 cups) 8 oz shopped spinach (2 cups) 1/2 cup olive oil 2 onions, chopped 4 cloves of garlic, minced 1/4 cup tomato paste 2 large red bell peppers, seeded, deribbed, and chopped 2 teaspoons sweet paprika 1 and 1/2 teaspoons red pepper flakes 2 teaspoons salt 1 teaspoon fennel seeds 1 and 1/2 teaspoons ground coriander Black pepper to taste 1.5 cups water 2 and 2/3 cups couscous, cooked according to the jar instructions
