Hi!
I received a paper copy of a 1099-K stating that iβd made $1090 dollars through paypal in June of 2024. I have no bank transactions or paypal history that backs this up, and I only use paypal to purchase from other sites, not for sales or personal transactions. All transactions are debits from my bank account outside of the rare instance where i am credited back for something.
The only positive transaction in my account history for June is a refund for $ 32 dollars, for something id purchased that the seller canceled on me. This obviously should not count as income, and obviously is not $1090 dollars lol.
Im wondering - did anyone else have this happen? The tax documents will not show on the site for me yet, so i cant check its validity or the breakdown of transactions. I dont know what the end game would be, but could this be some sort of scam?
Iβd understand personal transactions being miscalculated as goods and services, but i donβt even have those. Its all just money being taken /from/ me, which concerns me?

So Iβm a female in a relationship and from the beginning I told my partner that I watched porn sometimes because itβs hard to focus because of my ADHD. After telling him this I asked if he watched porn as well, I expected his answer to be like hy everyone does it but he told me no not really. Hallo miteinander, ich bin neu hier. Und auch ziemlich neu in der ganzen Investmentsache. Habe erst Anfang des Jahres angefangen mein Portfolio aufzubauen, mit Einnahmen aus einem Immo-Verkauf. Einzeltitel und Pferdewetten sind nicht so mein Fall, ich halte mich lieber an ETFs. Habe den GroΓteil meines Startkapitals inzwischen auf einen Schwung Acc ETFs verteilt, teils mit, teils ohne US-Techwerte, um mΓΆglichst breit diversifiziert zu sein. Dazu nur ein ganz kleines Kleckschen (ca je 3%) Crypto und Gold. (Witzigerweise ist bis jetzt das Gold noch der rentabelste Posten, ΓΌberlege ob ich da noch mehr reinstecken soll.)
Jetzt kΓΆnnt ich euch vorstellen, wie ich bis gestern mittag noch gejubelt habe "Juhu allein im Januar 2700β¬ Plus gemacht!", nur damit dann ab ca 17 Uhr die HΓ€lfte der Monatssteigerungen wieder vernichtet wurden. Bei der Rechechere warum das so ist bin ich dann auf den Begriff "FettbΓΌrger" gestoΓen und so bin ich hier gelandet. xD
Anyway: Ist das immer so? Also dass zum Wochenende die Kurse erstmal gewaltig fallen? Jede Woche, jeden Monat?
Naja wie dem auch sei. Γberlege mir jetzt, ab kommender Woche ein wenig mit dem Hl. Amumbo zu "zocken". Also, klar, ihr lacht da wahrscheinlich drΓΌber, aber ich stell mir das ungefΓ€hr so vor, zum Wochenenanfang so sagen wir mal 10k reinzustecken, das dann ein paar Tage laufen zu lassen, und dann spΓ€testens Freitag Nachmittag wieder abzustoΓen. Kostet ja nur 1β¬ pro Order. Gut oder Schnapsidee?
(Und ja, ich weiss dass wenn es gut lΓ€uft, ich ziemlich schnell in die Kapitalertragssteuer reinschlittere, aber mei - das wird ja dann bei der SteuererklΓ€rung alles verrechnet)
Mein Portfolio ist jdf noch nicht so ganz fertig. Es liegt noch mehr auf dem Tagesgeld rum als ich brauche, ich bin mir aber unsicher was ich am besten damit mache. Teilt ihr die derzeitige allgemeine Skepsis ggΓΌ US-Techwerten, oder seid ihr der Ansicht dass die auch weiterhin gut laufen werden?
Mein PrimΓ€rziel ist eine Rendite von mindestens 12% zu erzielen, wenn es mehr wird beschwere ich mich freilich auch nicht.
