First time poster here so forgive me if this the wrong place (and a quick glance at the rules seems to be fine), but a question I had on a post in mildly infuriating made me think of this but was locked.
Are they (the brother) not entirely wrong about light brown sugar and dark brown sugar kind of being the same? I know they have different molasses content and flavor (maybe. I don't think I've actually had dark brown sugar, but it would make sense to have a difference taste since more molasses) but I suppose I've never came across a recipe that very specificly mentions dark or light. Just "use 1 cup of (usually mentions being packed, but most are by weight now) brown sugar." So if a recipe doesn't specifiy... are they not interchangable? Or do most recipes just assume you're going to have light brown sugar and not mention it? (Maybe like "a cup of sugar" is implied to be granulated not powdered, but where specificly needed will say 3/4C powdered sugar)

Hi! I recently bought a kanken mini from an authorised reseller here in Poland. All of my previous purchases were 100 prc original. Today I wanted to check the photo of the bag but I spotted a change in logo - the å in kanken doesn’t touch. On the other bags it’s fine. I wanted to ask, what does that mean?
On another website that also sells legit products. They have the same photo as well. When I check international sites they had them too. Is it simply a wrong image or did this particular model changed the logo? It’s the mini kanken.
I have ocd so the answer to this is really crucial for me:(

2025.02.01 21:52 OpeningJackfruit8042 My father persistently forces me to have a car, and to be strictly dependent on it.

Im a 21 yo male and i dont want to be dependent on car until I get children. In recent months, i have been arguing with my father about car-dependency. I understand his opinion on it because he works 10km away from house, in company that is situated on the subrubs of my city (i live in 1500000 habitants capital city).
His arguments on it, wherever i work or go generally, are that "everyone has car and everyone must have it! Especialy if you are a male, because some people in my majorly conservative country think that you can't find a girlfriend and be a masculine because you dont have a drive license in your 17/18 y.o.
I have in my mind that car is necessary if you are in situation to work far away from your house, especially because my city transport system is horrible. And also, to hurry up on job if you were asleep for a while, to bring children to the doctor, school, etc... But i want to save my health and to keep it good.
I'm living near city centre and im usually going by bus on many other places in city, including farest in housing estate on the other side of river that is flowing through my city. I dont have problems with going by bus or bike, even when im overbooked (im volunteering as journalist and studying at uni, going out with friends, going on language courses etc.).
Now my parents are renovating my house but they stopped because they want to buy a new car for me. And im praying to them not to do that. I have more priorities than buying a car or obtaining a driving license (buying new computer for educational and business purposes, new doors for room because only my room has fake doors made from wood and furniture, clothes, etc.).
I dont know how to lay them down about car buying. Now we have 20+ years old car that had been doing fine until last year when made abnormal expenses for general service because it didnt passed vehicle inspection. And now, it doesnt make any problems, so im praying them to wait a year more until house will be finished. Just give me advice how to deal with these problems.

I an in a state where a non-medical person can own a practice. I am considering starting a concierge practice as an investment and to benefit the local community.
There are several practices like this in the area and they all have multi-year waiting lists. Because we are in a more sparse (but fairly affluent) area, getting on with a PCP is also a several year waiting period. Bottom line, there are far more patients than their are doctors or NPs.
NP have full practice authority in this state. I am considering making an offer to my PCP, who is an NP, to work with me on establishing a concierge practice. He is getting terribly burned out where he is and seems pretty miserable. However, he is excellent and really seems to care about his patients. He has greatly benefited me and helped me to make some significant improvements in my health.
I am curious, from the NP perspective, would something like a concierge practice be attractive? It would be fee based, probably $150/mo to be a member. No insurance billing. We would look to cap out at 500-600 members. Well-patient visits and some sick visits are included. If ill, we would guarantee to see you within 48 hours. Where we are, less than two weeks is almost impossible.
This is really in the preliminary stages, just an idea with some research right now, but funding is in place if I want to go forward. As NPs, what would make this attractive to you? Have any of you worked in a practice like this? What did you think of it, if you did?

Started putting some back in, all stuff that I had before, and for some reason something is giving me this error. I thought it was my lighting mod ( boring bones beta lighting ), but I don’t think it’s that because I took it out and it didn’t seem to fix it. Any ideas if anyone else has experienced this?

2025.02.01 21:52 TheLunarVaux Lux not looking right... Any ideas why?

Lux not looking right... Any ideas why? I recently had to redo my LO, and I thought I recreated it nearly identically for the most part. But the interior lighting from Lux doesn't look the same. I much prefer the darker, moodier look I had before, which I believe is how it's supposed to look. Any ideas why it may not be working properly? It looks much brighter now.
May be worth noting, if I go into certain rooms, the in-game eye adaption darkens it much closer to what it should be... but then I walk out of the room and it gets a lot brighter again.
(Side note: if you look in the distance, you can see a random gray pile on the stairs, along with some purple chains on the dragon that seem to be missing texture. If you all are aware of fixes for those too, I'd love to hear!)

I've been thinking about starting a YT shorts channel for a minute but I'm not sure if the pay would be good at all. I've heard some people made very little cheap change from the yt partner program ( I think that's what it's called, where they pay you for posting content ) when they started doing shorts. I mean there's obviously sponsorships that you can also get money from but idk what else there is. Is the revenue good if you manage to gain followers and build a loyal audience?

2025.02.01 21:52 jutesnake I deleted instagram and facebook today, but find it hard to get off of whatsapp

So, after giving myself two weeks, and giving myself some time to do scientific research, reading books and educating myself, that i no longer want to use Meta or other brolarchy related apps. I finally went through with it today, it feels very strange. It feels very radical to do this. I want to also get rid off whatsapp now, considering it is owned by meta, but the social ties i have there feel very strong. I am in the EU and everyone uses whatsapp here. It feels kind of useless to remove my facebook and instagram if i do not remove it, yet it feels like i'd give myself social pariah status if i would remove whatsapp. Please, if you can help me weigh rationally and scientifically based, the pro's and cons of taking this step, it would help me.
