2025.02.01 21:51 m_a_r_c_h_ Sloped driveway question - I know, I know but.....
 | Hi all, I know it kills people and is probably dumb, but I have no choice if I want to work on my car. If the yellow wedge in the image is perfectly strong and level, can I remove both my front wheels after putting it on jack stands (in red). I already have the ramps in green that I use just to change oil, etc. I put a rubber membrane under my ramps and will under the wedge so it grips better. I go to a garage for complicated stuff, but can't really afford to bring it there for things I can do myself. So the idea is to drive up on the ramps to almost level the car, then use a floor jack on top of another yellow wedge so the jack is level to jack up the car a bit more to make it perfectly level. Then place the jack stands like in the image to then finally remove the wheels. Will I still die if I go under the car? I [32/M] don't know if i'm the bad person here.
Two weeks ago, i matched with a girl [38/F] on Tinder. We had a bit of a talk and we decided to meet the last saturday. That day, we talked about us, she told me that she had two kids, one of them living with her and the other one with her ex-boyfriend, who also told me that have problems with him. It was a fine time, except the thing that she drinks a lot of beers. That day, she drank 5 beers, meanwhile i only drank 2.
During this week, we talked about our days, send us kisses emojis and things like that, until this last thursday, in which she, at night, told me that she was drinking alone. She drank like, 6 beers and sent me messages like: "I love you, I hope everything is nice between the two of us" and "You are the cutest I love you so much" while she was drunk. Also, she called me to read these messages (i didn't answer the call, i don't answer phone calls after 11 p.m.)
Yesterday was our second date, but it was same of the first one. This time, we kissed but she drank a lot and also wanted to pay half of the beers that she drank (4 at one bar and another one at the disco). I told her that she was drinking a lot of alcohol and it would be a problem at future, but she replied that she "can handle this. She drinks a lot now because she is depressed."
Today, she wanted to meet again, but i told her that i was tired, I had no money and I wanted to spend time with my parents. She sent me money without asking me and i get mad at this. She asked if i don't want to see her again and told me that she's intense in the romantic area, that she didn't want this situation in which "i don't have time or things more important to do" and she does want to dedicate her time to a man and give importance to the relationship.
I insisted to her that I wanted to be calm today, that this situation has already taken away the peace of mind that I seek to preserve in my life and that I would return the money. She apologized and accepted the money back. Until now, we haven't written to each other again.
After everything that happened today, I seriously thought about minding my own business. No more looking for dates, dating apps, I would even say that after this, I no longer feel willing to be in a relationship with someone else.

Context: I moved into this house about four years ago, and these gaps were not there initially. The home had been renovated and flipped, and it was built-in the 1970s. They do not happen throughout the house, but I am noticing them in many different rooms.
I do have some home renovation experience in previous houses, but this is something that I don't know how to fix. I am hoping that there is a product that could fill in the gaps and still look natural against the wood. Any advice would be welcome!

I was addicted to trans porn (I still am). It made me question my gender and led me to start DIY HRT until I realized I was a straight cis male and it was wrong of me to be transfeminine. It got so much worse that I hooked up with a trans woman I met on Grindr. I am mostly attracted to trans women who are active (sexually dominating) with me being the submissive male. This has clearly a lot to do with the male genitalia because I am not interested in trans women who have done surgery. What's wrong with me?
I'm sorry to ask this question on this sub, because I guess this forum is only meant to be a safe space for trans people, but I am really struggling with objectification of trans women and I think porn has wired my brain into thinking trans women as exotic. I don't want to objectify trans women for my sexual gratification and want to have respect for them as people. I am not even interested in cis women now and I seek relationships with trans women only and I think that is hideous and problematic. I would be very grateful if someone could help me how to tackle this issue, feel free to drop in any piece of advice you may have for me :)

Quite a while ago, I noticed this issue on the side of my cast-iron pan. I don’t know how it happened except that sometimes I use one of those like chain mail cleaners scraping off food and possibly I did it then. Since then I’ve cooked in it many times although obviously the fact doesn’t always go that high up the sides of the pan. And I’ve attempted seasoning it by wiping with oil and putting it in the oven, but it really never gets noticeably better. I don’t think it’s rusted but obviously I don’t want to use it if it could be harmful to us. Any thoughts on what to do, or if I can just leave it like this?
