I drive a daily 2025 Camry XSE AWD with premium plus package, all blacked out (windows tinted). I love my car. I paid $42K for it.
I recently rented a 2025 Camry LE for work for a week and…. What a downgrade!
I did not expect such a difference: Interior is very plastic / fabric in LE. XSE feels premium. Driving the LE is not as fun. It feels like a basic car. I punched the XSE AWD and it flies. The XSE can take sharp corners. Driving the LE is more noisy. Wheels are smaller, exterior is not as fun and sporty
After a week with a LE, I am glad I paid $10K extra for XSE / AWD / Premium plus.

Well.. technically 1 termination, pending the second.
I know I'm in good company to post this here as someone who loathes and is anti-work but is, ultimately, forced to do so to survive.
To make a long story short: Two years ago I made a big jump from a career I'd been in for ~10 years to a new role doing something entirely different. At job #1, after 8 months, I was let go for "misuse of company time" because there were 2 days where my monitored activity was extremely low (days where I literally had nothing to do and supervisor had no time for training me). I begrudgingly took job #2 in February 2024, and yet again, in a completely different field with a fortune 100 company where I had an internal referral. I was doing great until I wasn't - some part of it is on me, a good amount is on their piss poor training regimen and your typical corporate obsession with 120% being considered 100% for metrics. I went on medical leave for about 5.5 months and within 3 weeks of returning was placed on a PIP for under-performing (despite everyone on my team failing the same metric - but no PIP for anyone but me). My manager and his manager do not like me and it shows - the feeling is mutual. Nothing is ever enough, not even achieving 100% of a metric. I have 23 days left in my PIP as an at-will employee and my motivation to do even the bare minimum is non-existent - I am almost positive this week I will be let go due to the clause at the end of my PIP stating that if any steep decline in performance is observed, I could be let go early. I sincerely hope this happens on Monday because I am absolutely miserable.
Getting to the point: what are some ways you would professionally describe "why" you were let go or why you no longer work for XYZ, given the context above? How "honest" would you risk being?
According to the internet, in my state, a prospective employer can ask a previous employer for factual information like employment dates, job titles, work performance, and eligibility for rehire.
Though I'm not perfect, I do genuinely feel like I have been through the worst-case-scenarios of trial-and-error when trying to "change careers" in my 30s... I think its important to mention that, before leaving my previous decade long careefield, I have NEVER been fired or placed on a PIP. At the end of the day, I just want somewhere to stay potentially until retirement age while I pursue my actual dreams on my own time.
Thank you for any help or advice on how to approach this topic/any questions pertaining to the "why" behind the end to my two most recent jobs.

 | Hello everyone, Time for my monthly update. I'm now nine months into taking Mounjaro and I have lost 106 pounds in total putting me at 284.5 pounds as of now. https://preview.redd.it/atzkjottxlge1.png?width=2215&format=png&auto=webp&s=a9cb2d31854400bd5355e8a39c5ef0d9a4b9ccad This past month, January 2025, has been my lowest weight loss month with only losing 6.5 pounds in a month. That's still pretty good - 1-2 pounds per week - but much less than I had been losing. I think this is probably due to a few things. First, the calorie intake I had been at is no longer making me lose as fast as it used to. I have decreased my calorie intake on average 100-300 calories per day over the past 2 weeks now so we'll see if February catches back up to the old rate of weight loss. Second, I honestly think my cortisol levels have been up a lot more this month with the state of the world and I think it may have been affecting my weight loss. Still, 1-2 pounds per week is not bad and even if I kept it at that I'd be approaching 200 pounds by the end of the year. Also, even though this is my lowest weight loss month, I've had several people in the past 2 weeks ask me if I'm losing weight. This isn't new but it hadn't happened in a while so I think my body might have actually changed appearance a little over the past month even though the weight wasn't dropping much. I did also buy some new and more proper fitting clothes though so maybe that's it what everyone was noticing. I'm wearing a lot of older clothing I haven't worn in 5+ years and that's been really nice. I need a more fitting jacket but I don't want to buy one this year since next year whatever I buy will likely (hopefully) be too big. I'll just wait this cold season out. I'm back to wearing 2XL clothes and got a 2XL hoodie for Christmas and it's honestly slightly big on me which is a good feeling. I'm looking forward to wearing XL and L clothes soon which really expands what I can buy and where I shop! I still exercise four times per week. I got my bike out today and went for the first ride of the year. That was nice but the trails were still muddy from snow melt so I'm looking forward to them drying out so I can go for a proper ride. I'm hoping to get to a point where I can bike 50 miles/day compared to my usual 12-16 mile rides I've been going on. I think I can do that by the end of the year reasonably. I'm really thankful for what this medication is helping me do even if the weight loss is slowing down. I'm still on 5mg but I have a check-up with my PCP on February 18th and I may get his opinion about moving up to 7.5mg or 10mg. I still have enough appetite suppression that I can maintain at 5 but moving up may help in some ways.
