Hey everyone,
I’m a 18 yr old senior in high school and i lifeguard at my local rec center’s pool, and have been for 3 years.
My job has a lot of upsides, get paid pretty well, not a difficult job, coworkers are about my age and i’ve made a ton of friends from it.
But I’m starting to realize that i’m not really enjoying my job anymore.
For context My job hires a bunch of people often, because we are often understaffed for our indoor pool.
Anyway, there was this girl who was recently hired. Very nice, soft spoken, overall good employee. BUT, a bunch of other coworkers made a list of all the bad people at my job, to like try to not get her to like all the bad people i guess.
Normally I would say that this is a bad thing, but the things that were said in the list about other people are TRUE. I’ve seen this list and there is evidence of everything.
But as of yesterday, I was put on the list. Usually I wouldn’t really care, but there are some disgusting people and things that are on there, and it bugs me that I’m associated with that. I also haven’t seen the list since i was added.
A part of me has reached my breaking point about coworkers talking shit about each other, and it’s tiring to hear. But I also don’t want to quit because I’m very loyal to my job and I love it so much.
Sorry that this might’ve been alot, but what should I do?
