I've been looking at reactions in Mexico and Canada, both on social media and articles published on local media, and it seems like the prelevant view in Mexico is essentially, "whatever, we'll trade more with China".
Meanwhile, on the Canadian side, it seems like a lot of Canadians are still very much repulsed/disgusted by the Chinese government, citing a number of reasons like human rights abuses, lack of labor rights, and authoritarianism.
But Mexico is a democratic country as well. Why do Canadians grandstand on "values" while a lot of Latin Americans tend not to. Of course, this is a generalization since Milei campaigned partially against the "evil Chinese Communists", but he quickly changed his tone once he was elected, and it seems like Argentinians mostly don't care about what the Chinese government does either.

Hello, rog ally user. Initially put the kde version of bazzite on my rog ally, but it has had severe problems with network connectivity and usb c docks. I think the problem might be related to kde, as game mode is completely fine. I would like to rebase to gnome for the more touchscreen friendly ui, and the long shot of having usb c docks not kill the wifi inside the ally. Should I just do a clean install instead? Hi everyone, I’m at a crossroads in my career and could use some advice.
I’m a branding and motion designer who graduated in 2022. After an 8-month internship in London, I returned to Ireland in early 2023 due to the cost of living. I’ve been working at a full-service agency here for almost 2 years now, but the job has been stressful. While I’ve sped up as a designer and created helpful templates, I’m getting little conceptual or portfolio-worthy work. I still rely on personal projects for my portfolio, and I feel like I’ve stagnated professionally in my 9-5.
I’m considering moving back to London now that I’ve saved up enough to live there for a year. I'm well aware the job market is insanely competitive though, so I’d appreciate advice. I'm trying to tough things out in my current job, but it's increasingly wearing on me. Should I suck it up? Or move on as fast as I can? If anyone has experience with a similar move or can give feedback on my portfolio, I’d be grateful.

Recently lost to the Blazers by 29 and 22 (twice). to the Raptors by 16, Nuggets by 13, Celtics by 27, Bucks by 29, have dropped to 8th place, currently 2-8 in the L10, about to be 1-9
Their record has been worse since Paolo & Franz came back. Their two numbers individually have been ok, but they're just not looking great at all as a team. Bums have decided to become bums again (yes, Cole Anthony, you).

Hi everyone-hope you all can help me figure out a work incident and how best to approach it.
I have a colleague, who works on another team and frankly, he’s not a nice person.
I set up a quick check-in chat with him.
The chat was generally awkward but pleasant.
At the end of our chat, he questioned me on a presentation I did recently and made some mean comments directed at how I did the presentation. This was completely unsolicited.
Normally, I would address this with him but I risk causing drama in the workplace. I also feel self-conscious based on his mean remarks.
I know I should let this go and move on and avoid him. Have any of you been in this kind of situation? What would you do?

2025.02.02 00:00 oatmealraisn_ Broke string while tuning
I was trying to tune my A string back up after downtuning my bass, but no matter how much i turned the tuning peg, it wouldn’t tune back up (i was still able to downtune it, though). Eventually, as i kept turning the peg, hoping it would somehow start working, the string broke and went completely floppy. It didn’t snap or anything, but it makes no sound and is unplayable now. Does anyone know if this is fixable at home? Should i replace the tuning pegs, or should i just take it to a luthier or something? Also, if it’s worth noting, i got the bass off facebook marketplace about a month ago, and the seller said he owned it for over 20 years.
