 | We walked over from the stairs to the NW, but the tide was too high to make it all the way around the point with dry feet... It's not particularly dangerous (beyond the hazards of the rocks themselves) but you'll want short pants and water shoes, or wait til it's below mid tide. Definitely not on a high surf day. Probably the best spot on the entire Peninsula to survey the geology of the Altamira Shale formation... We stopped to chat with a young'n with a rock hammer, prospecting for fossils -- he very kindly warned us to take care around all the rusty metal debris, along the way. I've rappelled these cliffs, a couple of times, from top anchors along the edge of Point Fermin Park. I don't recommend it without a considerable amount of mountaineering experience and caution. The anchor points are quite solid, but many of the obvious access points give way to loose, steeply overhanging rock. As you descend, the taut rope above you is quite likely to knock something loose, which will brain you dead before you can blink. The rock may be somewhat climbable, but the chossy cliff presents a similar safety issue on any kind of top-rope belay... And forget about lead climbing -- the rock is so soft & fragile, it's impossible to place any kind of reliable protection as you go. Hey guys Iām really proud of myself. Basically I had a rough New Yearās getting stupid drunk yet again and I decided to do Dry January. Didnāt tell family cause I felt like theyād make fun of me or be a little TOO happy about it which would have annoyed me. But I did tell friends when I went out which was different from other times I stopped drinking bc I would keep it to myself in order to to be able to get out of it if I wanted. I was amazed to learn that my friends didnāt think I was boring or ANYTHING. And I had more fun being out than when I was drinking and I also felt more comfortable leaving when I wanted to knowing that my friends still like me even when I go home early. Mindblowing. So thankful to have friends that arenāt assholes. Iām hoping to continue sobriety, especially since my birthday is coming up and itās a really hard time for me.
Love you guys and I wish you all luck for your sober journeys whatever they look like!!

After 13 months, 400+ applications, 30 interviews, and 8 final round interviews, I finally am starting a new position in two weeks.
It's a step down back to where I started, earning half of what I should be getting, but with the job market being hot garbage I'll take what I can get.

We have been in our house for almost 3 years now. It was built in 1969 and I donāt know what is original and what is new.
The garage door is wood and I believe uninsulated. I know it is peeling across the bottom and doesnāt seal properly. It also clanks and bangs really loud when itās either opening or closing and sometimes when it closes, it just opens back up again. You end up having to stand there for a while to get it to close.
I was gonna include pictures, but I donāt know what to show because again it seems like thereās a lot going on. How do you know with the garage door, whatās fixable and what is repairable?
