2025.02.02 03:50 Millsware Github repository backup question
Sometimes the programs that I make in the VSE automatically appear in my Github repository, but other times they don't. I can't think of anything that I'm doing that makes them show up. I've tried doing it manually but that doesn't work either. For example, I was working on Week 4 "Recover" earlier today and a version of that is backed up on Github, but not the final version I just completed. Is there a way to force this over, or set the frequency of backups?

2025.02.02 03:50 PsychologicalUse4352 Why do you think there's such a dearth of Omc/Harry fics?
I've been thinking about this a lot recently, ans I do wonder why there aren't quite a bit more HP slash focs where Harry ends up with an OMC, either someone he meets before Hogwarts, or an older boy he meets in Gryffindor or Slytherin etc. Or someone else entirely.
It just seems so strange to me because with all the potential these pairings have, there's surprisingly few longer fics or well-written ones, or fics in general with OMC's and Harry that aren't just... some pairings or past lovers or a small plot device.
I keep imagining writing a fic where Harry meets one of Dudley's friends as a kid who is a bit of a bully himself, but as he gets older he apologises when he realises Harry is being abused and they become cutesy, and he turns out to be a Muggleborn who chooses to attend.. idk Ilvermorny or something instead and they have all these sweet summer romances as they grow older until Haryy is convinced to move schools and that changes his life blah blah blah. But there's nothing like that out there except that Quidditch one.
They're just so rare and I wonder why that is.
Yes there's a high selection of characters to pair people with and you can make them fit your story in any way you'd like but... idk I feel like it's just untapped as a story resource and to create interesting ideas.

That simple, guys. I got whacked with a cancellation rate increase on one order because the store was closed - even though I did it through Uber support live chat and even provided a photo of the store being closed - and was frustrated that they wouldn’t remove the penalty.
A few days later, I had another order like that come up, except this time I called Uber support and told them I didn’t feel safe to pick up the order due to “concerning issues” going on outside the store and they cancelled the delivery penalty free. I’ve done this three more times from similar orders over the course of two weeks and I haven’t had a single hit on my account.
Is it ethical? Technically, no. But does it keep you from getting screwed on orders that wind up being undeliverable due to matters outside your control? Absolutely! Just don’t abuse it, only do it when you’re absolutely needing to cancel, and you shouldn’t have to worry about getting deactivated or lose your Uber Eats Pro benefits

I got dumped by an Aquarius male, and I am an Aries female, we were only talking for 3 months but this really upset me. I am sad it ended but I have also never had anyone, or a guy describe the way I treated him so poorly. He said he had to walk on egg shells, felt like he had to sensor himself because he was afraid to offend me. He said couldn't be himself and was altering himself.

I never have lower back pain, but 3 weeks ago I started walking 9-10k steps a day, speed walking at least half of that, big jump from my 2k steps a day all last year. Now, my back feels so sore. Like, my middle and lower back is hurting when I sit for more than 30 minutes. Many people are saying it’s my shoes, but my shoes never gave me issues before? My feet, hips, knees, etc feels fine. I also get out my yoga mat and so good stretching for 10-15 minutes a day as well.
Is going from 2k to 10k a day with no breaks too much? I’d hate to break my streak, but maybe my back was weak? Haha any advice if this happened to anyone else would be helpful!

Do you remember when life was as simple as figuring out who was going to order food? Or which bar we would go to? Or who was going to make sure they made sure to book a vacation0201.
Remember that guy you wanted to give your number to? I think he liked you. He probably would have been a better decision. I heard he never married and never had any kids. Isn’t it weird how the world brings people together at times?
It was the mail that was delivered that day that had the card for my birthday. I was so surprised! It was the most beautiful card they sent to me. I never knew a gap between teeth would be so adorable! Loved the drawing so much! The stars were so unique. You are really talented.
She had called me after she passed away. It would have been nice to speak with her more. I didn’t know how she died until recently. Hope you’re doing ok. I would love to see you and give you a ginormous hug.
Can you check in on him and make sure he’s ok? I’m not sure how I’m still alive, but I am. I shower a lot because of the pain.
I’d love to go to a game and watch. I’m getting too old to play like I would have when I was a kid.
She got sick after what they did to her. It’s why I said no. I knew. If I’m the only one left, they are pretty much screwed. I can’t do it on my own. So, it will end with me. He won’t be strong enough without me. They just keep messing up the advertising. That meal looks better with good lighting. She knew how to do it perfectly. That’s why they let her go.
Management just seems all over the place. Not much I can do anymore. It’s hard to watch people deteriorate over a job they hate. She was a wreck.
They kept changing the rules to keep us out. Then, made excuses for doing it. Which is fine. They shouldn’t need me then since I don’t qualify. Not my problem anymore.
Well, I should get back to studying a bit before I shower again. Pain is elevated a bit 😏.
I thought about doing a new design for them. Their marketing could really use some perking up.
Miss you! Oh, and I saw him in the trees by the deck. I think there was one back there. The string just didn’t fit in with the surroundings.

Or, is it possible you just enjoy their design and are just collecting them for a renaissance later? Anytime I saw new support announced for them I'd always be at least somewhat shocked that it had fans -- more cropping up like mushrooms after rain so, I feel like I must be missing out on something.

2025.02.02 03:50 cocoon_of_color DAE have issues with TurboTax zeroing your traditional IRA basis?
Wondering if anyone else has noticed this. On Form 8606 in 2022, I had $200 on line 14. I didn't contribute to my IRAs for a couple of years after that (so no Form 8606 was required to be filed those years). This year I am going to need to file a Form 8606. When I check the form generated by TurboTax, I see that it sets my traditional IRA basis as $0 on line 2, when it should be $200 (carried forward from 2022). When I try to manually correct it to $200, TurboTax says that is wrong, and that I need to provide an explanation on my tax forms for why it is $200 when it thinks it should be $0. Ugh.
I think this is happening because I didn't contribute to my IRA for a couple of years, so TurboTax silently zeroed my basis in whatever logic it has behind the scenes. I know my basis is supposed to be $200... so since I am being forced to give an explanation, should I just say that TurboTax is wrong, and that if the IRS checks my last-filed Form 8606 from 2022, they will see I am correct that $200 is what my basis is supposed to be?
