Im about 7 months in to my mew job. I was told i could start between 7:30- 8 with a 30-1hr lunch and leave between 4:30-5. I just need to get my 40 hours and no over time. My boss pulled me into her office and was mad because it's apparently not allowed. I've been doing this for 7 months. My team mates have gone it also along with other people in different departments. My boss said it was a company wide rule and I have to come in at the same time everyday. I feel confused and blindsided. I'm not sure if there is something bigger going on or if I should brush it off. I'd like to add that she is close to the woman that use to be in my position. Ive been making a lot of suggestions and even got some approved to make my job easier. Ive also developed great relationships with other coworks. Could she be jealous? What is she telling our boss?

I have a domain registered through Route 53. I've got my public-facing server set up and have created an A-record for my server, server.mydomain.com on IP XX.XX.XX.XX.
The problem I am seeing is that if I do a ping -a from a remote computer, the resolved name is this:
ec2-XX-XX-XX-XX.compute-1.amazonaws.com
Any ideas on what I'm missing?
