- Are you open to refurbs/used? Preferably used. Trying to find the strongest laptop for the cheapest price.
- How would you prioritize form factor (ultrabook, 2-in-1, etc.), build quality, performance, and battery life? Performance only.
- How important is weight and thinness to you? Not important.
- Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A. N/A
- Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run. OBS and Video Editing software of some kind, probably something like Final Cut Pro.
- If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want? No gaming, but the laptop will need to operate up to three live camera feeds, audio equipment, and on-screen graphics overlays at the same time, and separately it will also be used for video editing.
- Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)? No.
- Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion.- The idea is to use this laptop to live stream ticketed in-person events like plays, live music gigs, open mics, etc. using OBS software. Streams will be broadcast on the usual online platforms (youtube, twitch, patreon, etc.). It will be connected to a switcher, three cameras, and wireless microphones. It will need to be able to run the live stream, switch on the fly to different cameras, and implement on-screen overlay graphics, similar to a live news broadcast. Aside from live events, it will also be used to edit and publish recorded videos. This laptop will only be used for these things, so any drawbacks pertaining to the screen, keyboard, camera, etc. aren't important. Additionally we will utilize a lot of external SSDs for the large video files, so internal storage isn't a big concern. I've been told I need something that has at least an Intel i7 processor, 16 GB of RAM, and a dedicated GPU, probably an NVIDIA, but please correct me if that's wrong. I've had a hard time finding information that isn't specifically about streaming PC gameplay. This laptop will not be used for gaming, only video production. I'm looking for the cheapest option that has the specs to perform the job described above, thank you!

Been talking on a few threads about Internet service and I'm posting this to hopefully cast a wide net to see if anyone has any information.
Power came up last night (live near Wildwood) but Internet is still down. From what I've seen this is the case for majority of downtown Issaquah.
Does anyone have internet yet in downtown Issaquah? I'm hoping the power source just needs to be turned back on in a place that is still without power.
Xfinity has provided zero details, I've gotten zero texts, the outage map isn't functioning, no estimation of restoration and they will not allow me to talk to a human because of the outage (which is wild).
Just posting to see if anyone has any information or has heard anything. Thanks!

Hi Guys! I am getting an Orangewood Rey for just 180$ but the shipping cost associated with it is 80 Dollars to Canada. But then if I am pushing my budget that far I can literally pick up a Yamaha FG 800 from long and mcquaide. The plus point of Orangewood is It comes with a free kit which includes all essentials like Capo, Picks, Strap, Tuner, Manual Wire Tool and a Bag.
I am just so confused. Overall FG800 seems like a good guitar but in the same price I am getting alot of extra things from Orangewood that I would have to buy seperate with Yamaha.
Could someone please recommend me? Since Fg800 seems like a good midrange premium guitar. But I still want some experts to tell me what they thibnk.
