It sat there, thirty-six inches high and thirty-six inches wide, on the sidewalk outside my door. It made me stop in my tracks as I stepped outside.
"Hi there, can you bring me inside?" a voice said.
"Uhh, where are you?" I replied, looking around for the source of the voice. I saw nothing but my doorway, the sidewalk, and the cardboard box. "Hello?"
"I'm right in front of you," the voice replied, coming from inside the cardboard. "Can you please take me inside, sir?"
"Is this one of those YouTube pranks?"
"What's a YouTube?"
"I'm not taking you inside."
"Why not?" it asked, almost hurt. I walked over to the blank cardboard, scanning the area for any sign of a prankster. It had to be a weird joke or something more sinister.
"I don't take strange, talking boxes into my house," I answered. "What if you robbed me?"
"How can I rob you when I don't have any hands?"
"Because talking boxes don't exist!" I yelled.
"You can't disapprove of my existence when I am literally right in front of you."
"What?"
"You say I don't exist, but I am right here and I need to go inside before it rains."
"Talking boxes don't exist!" I screamed, startled by a banging noise from the upstairs apartment and the sound of a window opening. I turned to see my upstairs neighbor glaring angrily.
"Will you two shut the fuck up? I'm trying to sleep!"
"Hello, stranger, can I come inside your house?" the box shouted loudly. My neighbor, who already disliked me, glared at me angrily.
“I think it's either a YouTube prank with someone hiding in the box..."
"Tell it to shut the fuck up!" my neighbor yelled.
"Sir, I need to get inside before it rains," the box replied. "If it rains, it might compromise my structural integrity, and that would be bad."
"Listen, I've got to get to work, and I don't care about your structure or whatever," I replied.
"No, you wait right there. I'm going to kick the shit out of both of you!" my neighbor shouted.
"Dude, I'm going to work. I have nothing to do with the goddamn box!"
"You'll care when I'm compromised and what's inside destroys your universe."
The sound of heavy footsteps came from behind me. My neighbor marched towards the box and said, "You got three seconds to get out of there before I open you up and smash your face!"
"I wouldn't open my flaps," the box replied. I watched as my neighbor impatiently ripped open the flaps, stuck his head inside, and then completely disappeared into the box.
"Umm, hello?"
"Will you please close me?," the box asked, as I slowly walked over and looked around to see any sign of my neighbor. As I reached the box, I saw a strange sight—a small, circular portal, seemingly leading to another dimension. And it seemed to be growing.

2024.11.24 22:40 K_P__K_D Problems with QTE
At first, for me, the qtes were very simple and i executed them right with no problems but this recent playtroughs i think they are glitched or something. I play on keyboard pc and everytime i try to do the qte (especially the left and right ones) the game doesn't consider them. I tried to use controller but even though its working a little bit better this issue is still going. Also, I play other games in this type (with qtes) and i didn't noticed any problems with them :(
I tried to get the Blood Pact and Meddling Kids trophies but failed to get Emma infected in chapter 4 and i got her dead instead, does chapter select work on Blood Pact? Is there any chance i can achieve any of this achievements or is my playthrough destroyed? It's so frustrating and if i don't find a solution for this problem/ glitch all my future playthroughs are ruined :/

Hi! I have a small question, when I start my descend on manage the airplane for some reason struggles a lot to stay on the vertical path, it always gets too high putting the thrust on IDLE instead of descend and it still gets to high almost overspeeding itself and I have to add speed brakes to make it work which in real life is not that comfortable for the passengers… do you know what can i do?

 | Not all of these are nonfiction, but most are. I'm only at 26 books, with 2 DNF-ed. I'd like to meet my goal of 70, but since I'm not even to 30 yet I'm not super optimistic. DNF is only books that I have no plan to try to re-read. There are quite a few that I have started, but got distracted and forgot to finish. Some books I also started in 2023, but finished in 2024. First, I’d like to thank the developers for bringing back the joy and nostalgia I felt in 2013 through the campaign levels and tank platoon system in the mobile version. It’s what initially got me hooked on WT. However, I recently noticed that Gaijin is actively preparing to implement the tech tree and crew systems for ground and naval forces, replacing the current campaign level and tank platoon system. 「— We’re already working on a system that will allow us to focus development on only unique vehicles and not introduce “clones” into the game. This system will provide an opportunity for 🫡 players to create their own platoons from the unique vehicles available in the game. — For the first time in War Thunder Mobile, this new platoon system will be tested in the ✈️ aircraft campaign. If successful it will be applied to the tank mode as well.」 「Sorry, but this is not in the near plans. for now we are going to move naval and ground vehicles to the research tech tree, finalize interfaces and implement many features interesting to players.」 This change deeply concerns me. One of the reasons I quit the PC version was the overwhelming tech tree system. I’ve been away from it for three years, and I’m extremely disappointed to see the mobile version heading in the same direction. In my opinion, replacing campaign levels with tech trees is a significant step backward and a blatant form of player exploitation. Veteran players might remember that the mobile version’s campaign level system is essentially the same research system that was highly praised in the PC version before 2014. It was only replaced with tech trees when Gaijin sought to replicate World of Tanks' massive revenue. Under the campaign level system, players could unlock an entire tier of tanks with a single level, and even new additions to that tier could be purchased immediately. With tech trees, however, every new tank requires separate research, and without using Golden Eagles, players have to spend several times the time and effort to acquire each vehicle. Additionally, have you noticed that when unlocking new aircraft, you can no longer use Golden Eagles to Premium planes? Now, you can only buy premium aircraft using Platinum Wolves. If this system extends to ground and naval forces, it’s possible that new tanks and ships will no longer be Premiumed with Golden Eagles but instead rely on the limited-time Platinum Wolves sales in the upper-right corner of the interface. The gradual 'boiling frog' process could look like this:
Currently, players can purchase a full lineup for the cost of a single tank. With the Crew system (Slots), however, every tank will require separate research, separate purchases, and even separate upgrades like camouflages, crew training, smoke grenades, and artillery support. This means players will need to spend more than four times as much time and money to assemble a complete lineup. This could result in more players quitting matches after using just one tank. It feels like Gaijin wants their cake and wants to eat it too: introducing rare vehicles at a rapid pace for mobile version while adopting PC-level monetization systems, forcing players to spend both their time and money excessively. If you’re going to adopt the PC version’s tech tree system, then please reduce the release frequency of rare vehicles to match the PC version. Currently, the mobile version releases at least 6 rare vehicles every month, and if you include seasonal offers and events, the number exceeds 10 rare vehicles monthly. Take October as an example: - Medium Trophy: USS Billfish, G6 Platoon - Big Trophy: HMS Orion, T54E2 Platoon - Aviation Trophy: ♠︎Bf 109 G-14♠︎, ♠︎F2G-1♠︎, ♠︎Lа-11♠︎ - Pumpkin Trophy: Brummbär Platoon, Z47, Hs 129 B-3 - Seasonal Offer: M60 AMBT Platoon, IJN Amagi, Ta 154 A-1 That’s 13 rare vehicles in one month, costing at least 30,000 Platinum Wolves (around $300 USD) to collect. It’s absurd. Now, let’s compare this to the PC version: In the PC version, rare vehicles were originally released simultaneously across ground, naval, and air forces, just like the mobile version. However, after significant backlash, they switched to a rotation system: ground, naval, air, then repeat. This gave players a break between rare vehicle releases and allowed them to focus on one branch without feeling overwhelmed. In other words, the PC version provides players with an opportunity to obtain all rare vehicles without spending money. Introducing War Thunder’s New Event Cycle Q: If each event will only have one vehicle, will there be ground, air and naval vehicle rewards in the future? A: Yes. As mentioned in the news, the first event will be dedicated to a tank, the event after will be dedicated to an aircraft, and the one after, a naval vessel. Afterwards, a repeated cycle of each vehicle type (in most cases) will occur. Q: Why have you chosen this format? A: Based on player feedback, we want to provide players with ways to obtain all vehicles in events rather than only a select few. With consecutive events, players will be able to obtain vehicle types they want and miss vehicles they don’t want. Mobile players, on the other hand, frequently have to choose between ships and tanks. Since the air forces went live in September, the situation has worsened, with players now facing a three-way choice between ground, naval, and air. Por qué en los últimos 10 años el 5 de boca es el biotipo de jugador jeropa que se para entre los centrales con perita levantada a dar pases atrás y a los costados? Por qué eligen tipos que no tienen marca o lastimen en ataque? Somos horribles porque tenemos un mediocampo insípido que no marca y cuando tiene que jugar, no filtran, no rematan de media distancia, no tienen cambio de ritmo, son mudos para reclamar o muy llorones. El actual dt incluido, era muy buen pasador pero cuando las papas quemaban o lo apretaban no jugaba más. Nunca pudimos reemplazar al león battaglia. Salvó nandez o mc allister ,un poco más adelantado en el campo, no tuvimos jerarquía de verdad. 3 presidentes de distintas agrupaciones y el mismo error bobo.

A little bit of my story: I (F25) have been living with my husband (M24) in the US for two months now. We're not from this country, my husband is currently a TA and a phd student, and our income comes from this. Before we came, we agreed that i'd be a stay at home wife because unfortunately i get panick attacks sometimes, and i also have depression and anxiety. Long story short i'm just trying to take care of myself for a while, i don't know if i'll always be a housewife but i wanted to make some money at home. It doesn't have to be much, it's just because i'm a bit paranoid about money. We barely leave the house to have fun, i'm always counting every penny so we don't spend more than necessary, moving from another country was stressful af. Please please be kind and thank you!
PS: we can pay our bills, i just wanted to live a little bit more, instead of just surviving.

My new instructor says his lessons are 50mins and 1h40mins. But the cost is still £75 for the 2 hours so it's the same as the others are charging but for less time. Is this a 2 hour lesson but with a drive to a location?
My previous instructor had 2 hour lessons, but on my second lesson 30mins was spent commuting to an area to do the lesson.
The concern is that if the lesson is 1h40mins and I get another instructor like my first, I will be paying for what is essentially a 1 hour lesson but paying for 2. If the 1h40mins includes driving to a quiet area. He has very good reviews so this seems very random
