Like 1440p on my 1080p screen, or 1600 on same screen. Does it make any difference to image quality or is it better to just match the resolution to the screen and in my case then maxing out settings more easily?
If I've understood it correctly, physically it isn't possible for a 1080p screen to show more pixels?
Yet I think youtube videos at higher resolutions seems to look better for example...
There's something I don't understand about this.

Despite the birth of my first child, the passing away of my grandmother, a runny nose and average night's sleep of 4.5 hours in the week beforehand I still managed to complete my first marathon.
I would have loved to have gotten it done in under 4 hours but I just didn't have enough in the tank to get it done. But there's always next yeatime.
I just wanted to say thank you to this sub for its positive energy. Reading through it in the weeks coming up to it have me some strategies that really helped on the day.

(USA) I didn't do so well during my MS program, ending with no publications (but did a thesis) and a low GPA of 3.3. I'm applying to six schools, but as time passes, I keep worrying that I won't be accepted anywhere. These thoughts are definitely slowing my progress on writing my SOPs, but I'm still making progress. My MS committee are writing rec. letters for me which made me happy to see--glad they see something in me.
Has anyone else experienced something similar?

I see so many posts here talking about immigrants taking their jobs, but they never question why the number of jobs are so limited in Canada or why there is so much red tape in starting and maintaining a business here. The Century Initiative targets might not have been this much of a problem if the government also encouraged businesses to invest and create enough jobs and housing in Canada. The government should be looking at why there is so much red tape in starting a business here and why companies prefer going South. They should be focusing on creating more jobs. However, people don't seem to protest the fact that Trudeau failed to create jobs or bring jobs back to Canada, at least not as much as other issues.
Although I'm not a Trumper, he does talk about bringing jobs back to America. I've never heard Trudeau talk about bringing jobs to Canada. I'm really offended by his latest GST/HST bs. He honestly thinks that he can "buy" my vote with this policy which doesn't really help me at all because I don't buy most of the items listed on that policy.
And no, I'm not mad because I don't have a job. I have good full-time job. I'm just fed up with Justin and people who only blame immigration.

2024.11.24 22:49 authortitle_uk Would damaged rubber dust boot affect braking or more likely something else?
We recently got two city bikes very cheap from a cycle subscription company closing down.
They are in okay condition but the rear brake on one of them doesn't feel anywhere near as powerful as the other. I noticed the rubber dust boot (I think this is the term) on that brake is split and broken, could that be the cause of the brake not working so well or is that just a cosmetic thing?
Is there anything else you'd recommend checking if it's not likely to be that? I'm totally new to fixing bikes but figure these ones are a good excuse to learn a bit!

How would you guys feel about a horde mode in BL4? Be it round based or just an endless onslaught of Psychos, Beasts and Weaponised Crazy People, do you think it would be a good addition to the series?
If we do get a horde mode, it would be great if the loot got better and better as the mode went on for the sake of challenge. Incorporating Mayhem Modes if they’re back would be great too!
