I love him. I have gone out of my way to be there for him. He says he loves me too. I’m from India and I’m turning 27 and after a failed relationship I had decided to get married this time if I found true love again. He says he loves me and then says don’t come close to me and then he says you deserve better and then when I say, I’m leaving he says don’t leave. I tell him I want to get married in 2 years so he says he wants to make a career and he cannot get married for another 7 years until he makes a solid career and he doesn’t want to make me wait. He constantly talks about it not working out and I talk about making it work. He wants to escape whereas I want to find a solution. Constantly making decision based on future. I’m very exhausted. I don't care about anything whether he has a career now or not. I'm ready to give it all out and grow with him in his struggle but he doesn't understand.

We've recently gone no contact with my MIL for a laundry list of reasons but the final straw being she told our teenage son he doesn't need to apologize for assaulting us (leaving bruises, popped ribs...etc.). The police were involved and offered to press charges, but still, she says he shouldn't have to apologize. Our teenage son is now living with her because CPS is concerned for our younger children if he's in the home. So, my husband is in very limited contact strictly regarding acting as our sons legal guardian. Other than that, we are NC. We've all felt a marked improvement in our mental health and happiness in the home.
My husband wants to still let his mom give the younger kids gifts for Christmas; I want to forward them to a charity. I don't want her being put on a magical pedestal of loving, flawless, gift fairy from afar. I also don't want to reopen the wounds and conversation every gift giving occasion. I want us to move on without the stress and reminders until my MIL can show she's a healthy person to be around (not supporting us being abused for starters).
Am I wrong? Should we forward any gifts from her to the kids?

I'm acutely aware about the implications, but hear me out first.
So, in most fiction, there are species who are best known to just breed like mad. Think Tribbles from Stsr Trek, the Begger's Canyon Womp Rats from Star Wars Legends, or the hobgobblers from How To Train Your Dragon. The "Explosive Breeder" trope, if you will.
Now, the concept of filial cannibalism isn't a novel idea, where the parent species consumes its young. But then I read an article on embryonic dispause, where a gestating species (like kangaroos) can halt an embyro from being implanted, essentially freezing it, if conditions are not ideal; and fetal absorption, where non-viable fetuses are absorbed into the body.
...I'm sure you can put two and two together by now.
Obviously, carrying one single fetus is going to be a toll on the body, so for this to be realistically sustainable, the species would probably have to get impregnated constantly. Yeah, that's the main squick. Or even the premise, if you're pro-life. On the other hand, might be a good premise for birth control.
Thoughts?

So it's nearing new years and peak tourist season in Thailand. I've read a few posts here about solo travelers (especially those that don't feel at home in the hostel scene because of age or other reasons) feeling a bit lonely on their travels.
I had the idea to start a Discord for those of us that are traveling in Thailand and South east Asia this winter. I figure it could serve as a smaller community to provide support, share ideas, warnings, arrange meetups and just whatever.
I think anyone should be able to join whatever age or even if they aren't traveling solo, but perhaps more so for those of us who aren't really in to the party/hostel/bar scene.
What do you think? Dumb idea? Good idea?

You get drift and grip burst nos at the time, you shouldnt get grip nos if you are drifting or vice versa. It kills it the entire driving experience and rewards who can abuse micro drifting most. This should be an easy issue to fix, just disable any sort of grip nos bonus if your wheels are sliding. Why Criterion isnt fixing this?
