2024.11.24 23:30 Jaded-Construction50 Insurance void because of misrepresentation of points
Here’s the situation. My house was burgled and my car was stolen. I went through my car insurance and during the process they called me and asked if I had points. I said yes as I thought they knew this. Turns out they didn’t and they’ve now cancelled my policy and are refusing to pay the 12k for my car. I now owe the finance company 9k for the car.
I had three points on my license for an SP50 (speeding). The insurance company themselves say that the misrepresentation was careless and not intentional, and that’s the truth. They are saying that if I had disclosed the points when I initially asked for a quote they wouldn’t have provided one, but they give no evidence. They do insure people with points, so I don’t know how they have reached that decision. I’m going to complain to the company and try and reach a fair agreement with them, but I doubt we will. I’m then going to go to the ombudsman.
I was wondering if anyone had any further insight or advice for me? I’m quite distressed over this.

2024.11.24 23:30 phraps Animal photography lenses on a budget? (a6000)
I'm new to photography but I've quickly realized what I love to shoot is animals - primarily zoo animals and wildlife. I'm currently rocking an a6000 with Sony 50mm f/1.8 OSS, which is a fine lens but I definitely need more reach. So I'm considering the following lenses:
-Sony E 70-350mm f/4.5-6.3 G OSS
-Sigma 100-400mm f/5-6.3 DG DN OS Contemporary
-Tamron 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD
There's a lot of posts on this sub about these lenses individually but not much of a head-to-head comparison. I'm constrained by budget and the Sony 70-350, while a great lens, is at the upper limit. Does anyone have a preference between the three, or any suggestions on other lenses I should consider? Also, does lens stabilization help much at longer focal lengths on a body without IBIS? I tried the Tamron 28-200 and the shake was very bad on my a6000 at 200mm.

I’m currently trying to buff Wild Dino damage and health on my nitrado server without it also buffing tamed dinos too. I still want to keep the current stat multipliers for my tamed dinos but when I try to buff wild dinos it mega buffs the tamed ones too. Any suggestions on how to work around this?

Hey everyone,
I’ve been playing OSRS for a little over two years and am just under 2k total on my main account. Lately, I’ve been feeling pretty burnt out grinding Slayer and getting into Nex. I’m excited to give Leagues V a proper shot, but I’m not looking for a super optimized route—I just want to get hooked on the gameplay and have some fun.
I tried Leagues IV but quit after 30 minutes of doing agility laps in Draynor. This time, I really want to embrace transitioning from a main account to Ironman rules while keeping things engaging.
For regions, I’m thinking of going Morytania, Fremennik, and Desert. My thought process is:
- Start in Morytania to unlock Barrows for some chill and rewarding PvM
- Head to the Desert next for access to the Drygore Blowpipe
- Finish with Fremennik to grab the OP jewelry
For relics, I’m leaning towards ones that simplify the Ironman grind, especially for a ranged build since I don’t want to hate collecting supplies. My current picks are:
- Animal Wrangler (for easy food gathering)
- Friendly Forager (I’ve heard herblore is tough for Irons)
- Banker’s Note (seems like a nice QoL thing to have)
- Overgrown (to make farming / herblore ez)

2024.11.24 23:30 cmark2no I now have some clavicles! Been a little over a month since I've started resistance training and close to a month since I started consistently tracking my steps. Weight has not moved much but I've lost a few belly inches. Haven't worked out my legs so any progress if any is purely from walking ☺️

Weight down to 110kg from 113kg last month... Belly circumference down by 4 inches ☺️ Also, I noticed that squats are now becoming more do-able, like I am now able to go full down on my back barbell squats... I have still mostly avoided running and am sticking to walks or even 10kg rucking when I feel it (I started at 6kg)... I've also started using the 30kg and 40kg power twister (started at 20kg) just to provide some variety to my barbell and dumbbells... I try to stay at a minimum 10k steps a day while being conscious that I move around from my seat every once in a while...
So far what is working for me is starting small with what I can actually manage and not getting pressured with what I see others are doing... Like I see people lifting heavier but I know I just can't do it at that level now so I stick with what I can do and just add onto it little by little. I've been obese for as long as I can remember with me actively going out of my way to avoid any strenuous physical activity. So just from that I know this is gonna be a really long journey, so no use getting impatient. Not to mention that body recomp by its concept will really take time however being a total newbie works to my advantage.

Hi Reddit, I need some advice on a tricky family dynamic.
I (29F) have always been close with my older brother (32M), and we’ve had a tight-knit family for years. He recently married his wife (30F), and while I’m genuinely happy for them, I’ve been noticing some uncomfortable behavior on her part.
At family gatherings, she often cuts me off in conversation, subtly contradicts me, or makes little digs at my expense. For example, if I’m sharing a story about work, she’ll chime in with, “Well, I heard that industry is dying anyway,” or if I mention something I cooked, she’ll say something like, “Oh, I make mine differently—it’s healthier that way.” These aren’t overt insults, but they sting nonetheless.
What makes it worse is that she’s super charming with everyone else in the family, and no one seems to notice these comments except me. I don’t want to make waves or create tension between her and my brother, but I’m starting to dread family events because of this.
How can I address this in a way that doesn’t make me seem overly sensitive or dramatic? Should I talk to her directly, bring it up with my brother, or just let it slide? I don’t want to be petty, but I also feel like I deserve respect.
