How can I fix this?

I have recently purchased a Dell laptop with Windows 11 preloaded. It won't allow me to install software that I have used for years and am familiar with. I do not want to have to go through the trouble of having to learn something new to do something I have done for years with ease. I can install the software if I switch off 'S' mode. 2024.11.25 00:31 Confident_History_44 Question about boiling food/fires

My roommate is very into "one-pan meals," which, I get it, they're convenient. I'm not a huge food snob, I could care less what he's eating and I eat my own share of trash. However, it's the way he makes them that's getting me worried.
He starts by putting all the food into a generic 10" nonstick frypan. Usually a chicken breast or kielbasa link, some pasta, and either peas or corn as the veggie. All good stuff.
He then fills the entire 10" pan to the brim with water and boils (not simmers) the whole thing down at full gas on the front right burner until there's zero water left. Throughout the course of cooking but especially early on, the pan will often boil over and now there's these caked-on burn spots around his burner that aren't coming off anytime soon.
I'm a bit of a worrywart by nature and I'm legitimately worried that this is a fire hazard. He does every single dinner like this and refuses to clean both the pan and the area of burnt buildup around that burner. I've expressed my nervousness over it being a fire hazard and he won't change anything. I've suggested a deeper pan to avoid boiling over and asked that he clean but nothing comes of it. Am I being nervous for nothing?

I spent time this weekend reviewing trade jobs postings for Houston and the surrounding areas. My target was for carpenters and plumbers because I have read multiple places companies can't hire enough.
My question is if there is such a need...where is the money?
The average hourly wage I saw was between 20-30 an hour. While this isn't exactly money to sneeze at it isn't what I expected to see. The main reason is these were almost all had 'master' in the job title and required 5-10 years of experience, as well as multiple certifications.
If people are in need shouldn't the pay go up?
I know how much it costs me to have a plumber come out to my condo to snake my drains. It's $2-500 a visit. Generally, if they are visiting my unit they are also doing work in 5-10 others as well and will walk away with $3-10,000 for what might be 4 hours of work.
We are charged service charges, gas fees, credit card fees, and whatever else they can think of to charge us.
So, where's the money for the workers? If a truck is making $400,000-$1,000,000 a year why aren't workers on that truck making 150k+ a year?

90 ATK / 98 STR / 90 DEF / 95 ranged / 88 mage / 80 prayer + cox prayers
Busy season + uni forced me to sit in NMZ for a month, so I now have decently high stats for PvM. So I thought I could give the gauntlet a try. Went 5W and 1L, which made me believe I was ready for CG - but boy, was I not ready. Died 8 times, either to Hunllef or prep time.
So I took a break for a few days until I tried it again today. First try was a success! Went 5W and 1L today and I am so happy. Especially my prep time, for whatever reason, is efficient enough to consistently get a full T2 prep.
Some of the fights were still rather close, so it is still mindboggling to me how people manage to do it with way lower stats, without cox prayers or in T1 gear.
Anyway, happy that it clicked and hoping for nice loot, though I am a filthy main account.

1) Otomo. No surprise there, they literally have telepathy with each other.
2) Togashi. Both are fullbacks. They trained together. They're roommates. Togashi clearly liked him enough to train him, is involved with his love life with Anri, and also covered for him by "pretending to be asleep". Ashito in turn confided in him his intensity towards his match with Tripone, and also shared a moment with him about "his crazy eyes" and how he needs to calm down in the future. Would honestly almost put him above Otomo.
3) Asari- antagonistic at first, but they have natural chemistry once they got to know each other better.
4) Yuuma- he is his greatest ally on the pitch next to Akutsu. Enough said.
5) Tachibana- Wish he was higher. He and Otomo should be #2 and #1 respectively. But they don't train together, Tachibana took too long to get to Team A compared to the others, they're not really seen together as often, and the list goes on. Really wish he was higher, as even Anri and Claire are below him on the "top characters of the series" list.

So, on the letterboxd page for desktop, a new option showed up on the sidebar: stats.
This is my all time favorites list for reference
Clicking on it pulls up stats for that specific list, just like with your profile stats. Years the movies were released in, your most popular actors, directors, etc.

Considering the addition of themes and nano genres, and the fact that stats are only for pro members and up, I'm assuming this addition is still only for those with pro and patron accounts. I checked if you can see the stats list of other users, and so far the answer is yes. I was unable to find this option in my mobile app, I guess that comes later.
I'm just really surprised that this was dropped seemingly out of the blue, (i've yet to see any announcement from Letterboxd's official social media accounts) but I'm also extremely happy with this new addition. As you can see from my favorites list, I went out of my way to track my own personal stats, but have long wished that the website could track the stats of individual lists by itself. I can already see the dozens of rabbit holes that I can go down into thanks to this new addition, and wanted to let fellow pro and patron members know.
