2024.11.25 02:32 herbdic Edge Explore 2/ Edge 840, Black Friday or wait
I’m in the USA and been eyeing a Garmin Edge Explore 2 or 840. The thing is I won’t be riding until next spring/summer and wandering if there will be sales around that time next year or, is now the best time for deals? If I buy now, I’m concerned something newer may come around and I’ll have buyers remorse - especially, if I’m out my return window.

2024.11.25 02:32 OatcakePantheon Get Pixel Information WITHOUT Using ImageData
Hi, I have an effect in my game where sprites can break into particles which then scatter. It looks pretty cool but to apply it to a sprite I have to generate image data to create the particles (which interact with some game physics--I'm not nearly skilled enough with OpenGL to do this in shaders), which requires tracking down the location of the .png that I used to generate the sprite. I have hundreds of sprites stored in different ways across many folders, so this disintegration effect will be difficult to apply to different sorts of sprites, especially when I'm using spritesheets.
What I'd like to do is simply pass the sprite image used for stuff like love.graphics.draw() to my disintegration function and use something like imageData:getPixel() on a regular image, or to convert an image to imageData. This used to be possible with image:getData(), but for whatever reason it was removed in 11.0.
My best idea now is to create a new canvas and draw the sprite to that canvas, use Canvas:newImageData(), and then discard the canvas, but this seems expensive. Is there anything more elegant I can do?

 | I used to be part of the ShibArmy when I first got into crypto. I'm a simple man, I like deflationary tokenomics. After I saw how much success Bitcoin had, I realized having a crypto that actively burned it supply would be Bitcoin on steroids. I heard Shib burned tokens and was deflationary... Without doing any further research, I yeeted right in (luckily I did this before it pumped from .00001 to .00004 - but that's besides the point). Later I find out, the burning was totally voluntary! And I was sooooooooo disappointed because I knew that was a weak model that would never burn any substantial amount. I like to consider myself a businessman, aka non-idiot... I mean why TF would people burn money? I mean c'mon... A voluntary burn is equivalent to no burn. As such my fire died for that project and I abandoned it in pursuit of projects with incentivized burning. Later found Ice, started mining... First the tipping, then the mobile mining enhancements, then Hermatic 🫨🫨🫨 I went nuts and just bagged as much as I could at the $0.0035 mark for several months before it pumped. With all the deflation and use cases I am soooooooooooooo bullish on this project. It's fascinating that the majority of the ShibArmy don't just dump their Shib and move to Ice. We have so much incentives for burning, a real dev team building, legit stuff like Hermatic, our own blockchain AND a MUCH SMALLER market cap... Smart money is moving money to where it's going to eventually go, and it's all going to eventually go to Ice Network. This is gonna sound like I'm one of those guys 'waiting for the perfect opportunity' or whatever but I don't even care how I look (I'm a guy and my friends a girl but she's like my siste, I could never ever be romantically into her), my friends boyfriend is manipulative, has followed her without her knowledge on multiple occasions, blocked all of her friends and told them horrible things like he hopes that their girlfriend is getting fU**ed behind there back and other stuff like that, she also told me that she can't break up with him because she can't kive with the thought that she has destroyed his life by breaking up with him, he always manipulates her into thinking all of the stuff is okay and no matter how much me and her other friends tell her it's messed up, she doesn't listen, I feel so mad because she's so nice and doesn't deserve this, I want her to live her life and not be controlled by him for all of her life, any advice frok anyine who has been in her shoes, any way to makw her understand that she shouldn't stay with him when it only hurts her and helps him keep being the way he is. (He also apologised to me and the rest of her friend group while my friend was there and as soon as he apologised he said See I've apologised, is everything okay now?)

2024.11.25 02:32 PiertoOccult Struggling with Mega Man X4
So I've been playing through the X series. I've played X many many times before but I've never played any of the other ones until now. I've been really loving X4, it's probably my favorite it the series so far and I'm really excited to play as Zero. I just can't beat Sigma. I can literally beat Sigma 1 damageless without looking it's so easy, but I can just not get the hang of Sigma 3. Any pointers? I watched a few videos and I've been trying a few different things, I'm just not getting the hang of it. And it sucks that if I choose to use a sub tank, lose, exit in order to fill it, I have to be at the boss rush again. The boss rush is easy it's just time consuming.
