2024.11.25 03:00 user54758 AIO- I feel that my bf ruined my birthday for a 3rd year in a row
TLDR; one year my bf forgot my birthday completely, the following year he refused to do the activities I wanted to do to celebrate, and this year he will be out of town both on my birthday, and on the date of my birthday dinner. What do I do?
The first time: we had been together about 14 months at this point, and I was staying with him for 2 weeks before I moved into my next apartment. We had talked about what day/ date my birthday is quite often for the month leading up because my birthday fell on the day before thanksgiving that year. I woke up on my birthday to him saying we need to install cabinets at his moms house for her Christmas present. I immediately made the decision to not directly tell him, but to give him hints until he remembered (petty on my end, I know). Well the day quickly devolved into him yelling and being passive aggressive at me for doing everything wrong in regards to building the cabinets. Regardless, I continued giving hints including saying the date out loud to him, emphasizing that thanksgiving was the next day, and nothing from him. His excuse the next day was that he has bad memory, but in my opinion if he really wanted to make sure he remembered, there’s plenty of ways to set reminders. He then asked what I wanted as a birthday gift as he had nothing prepared, so I obviously said nothing would really mean much to me at that point.
The following year: a few weeks before my birthday, I told him that for my gift I would like him to come paint pottery with me. He scoffed and laughed and said “I’m not doing that”, then recommended I ask some of my girl friends to go instead of him. My plan b was to ask him to decorate gingerbread houses together, and (although not excited about it) he agreed. When the day came to decorate the kits that I picked out and purchased myself, he spent about 8 minutes trying to get his house to stand up, propped it up with a can, and said “see it’s standing” before going into another room and leaving me to do the activity by myself.
This year: he mentioned several times that he definitely will not screw up my birthday this year. However a few weeks ago when it came to making plans for my actual birthday, the informed me that he’s going on a hunting trip with his dad starting the day before. I was understanding and didn’t get upset because I knew it was a trip he had been wanting for years and years. Then, I ended up planning a nice birthday dinner for a few weeks later when all of my friends are available, and he told me he can’t go to that because he has something at work he has to do, and the dates of that project can’t be moved at this point. Again I didn’t get mad because the situation appears to be out of his hands. But once again I just feel totally disappointed, and I will be celebrating my birthday by myself because he is not making it a priority and never really has.

hey everyone! a few clips of mox helping someone up and kissing them on the forehead are going somewhat viral and hi, i’m the someone!
for context: my entire section couldn’t figure out what side mox and marina were coming in from. when we noticed we bolted back to our seats and marina was shoving people on both sides of the isle. my friend fell back into her chair and i went forward (i had sprained my ankle and scuffed my knee a little over a week ago so my strength was iffy) i fell forward on my knee and as i was getting up, halfway to my feet i feel hands on me and many videos show the realization of who was helping me. he pats my head and kisses my forehead. a number of crowd members and pnc and aew staff and security asked me multiple times if i was okay and checked on me.

I get the title and how it plays into the puzzle. I liked the up clues where you incorporated the up clue into the end of the across clue. But the out part of it was basically crap. I get the ship out clue. But it was too confusing and created crappy words. The ultimate example was 67 Across. bargesin. Yes. I know barge is a ship, but still. Not a very intuitive clue and takes too many jumps to be fun. At least dubliner and barkeeper are real words, but bargesin?
