Hello all, here attempting to understand, once and for all, what on earth gender identity is and what it means to be transgender.
Preface: I am a transfemme girl identifying with she/her pronouns and have been in the trans community both on the web and in the real world for the last 5 or so years, so I’d say I know my stuff! I just haven’t delved too deep into this specific topic before and I really want to understand it better.
As a transgender girl, I do understand gender dysphoria in feeling that being female gender is “more right” for me. I do not know how that works at all. The GD Bible describes a transgender person whose “sense of personal identity and gender does not correspond with their sex assigned at birth.” My question is: what causes someone’s gender identity to not correspond with their sex if gender is just a social construct? Now, if I’m wrong about the social construct thing, feel free to ignore the rest of this post and just say “no, gender is not a social construct.” From what I’ve seen on many places, it is my understanding that gender stems from the social world but I have never fact checked that! Anyway, continuing on the assumption that what I said is correct, I don’t understand how someone’s internal sense of gender that is given at birth can be anything but corresponding with their sex. Being transgender is not a choice, but an entirely social concept is engraved into us at birth? On asktransgender and MtF on multiple separate occasions, I have seen people saying that if gender roles and the idea of gender was not a thing in our society, they would not be transgender. Does this mean that a sense of belonging to one gender is actually belonging to one set of gender roles? And what about trans people who don’t conform to stereotypes of their gender? Butch transfems, feminine transmascs, etc. As a trans girl I have always been pretty stereotypical, liking cute and pretty things, the color pink, wanting to wear frilly dresses and whatnot. Are these not all traits that were learned? If we lived in a world where no one cared about gender and we were left to our own devices, would I still feel this way? Can someone who has never interacted with another person be transgender? Is being transgender nothing but wanting to look or be referred to in a certain way? I truly love this community and none of this is malicious, but I am very confused. Someone smarter than me please help! Thank you 💜!

Contexto, El Ope delivery 4hs 5dias x semana, 350k por mes. En una rotisería tradicional. Llego la epoca de lluvias y me esta destruyendo: mas alla de lo molesto que es en si el agua, las calles por aca se inunda mucho, dificulta mucho la visibilidad, y eso que ya estoy preparado con equipo impermeable. La cosa llego a su culmine cuando me avisan que tocaba un pedido para el aeropuerto (por la ruta) a lo que me negué rotundamente, bueno discusión va, discusión viene. Quedamos en ver si mañana renuncio.
Eso, se que esta dificil conseguir otro laburo, lo bueno es que se manejan solo con barrios medianamente seguros y no uso apps de reparto (a mi hermano le robaron la moto en una), tampoco tengo un plus por la lluvia, todavía no se que desición tomar. Necesito su opinion. Aparte todo lo que queda de esta semana anuncian lluvias.

I worked at OG as a cook. One of the worst jobs I ever had. It's non stop from the moment you clock in and no breaks ever. The kitchen manager yells at you for going to the bathroom. In the store I was at there was an extremely bad roach infestation, we had to get sprayed for bugs literally weekly. The servers treat you like dog shit and scream at you when there's no bread or when they get an order wrong and it's taking too long for the remake. Ridiculous culture and atmosphere. I will never again work for a corporate restaurant. Crap training, after three training shifts they just throw you to the wolves. I was on sauté my very first shift. I honestly don't know what they were thinking. Also my trainer was disgusting. She'd touch the food without gloves and pick at it and eat pieces of it before putting it in the windows. She would use the raw chicken tongs to flip cooked meat. Freaking madhouse over there.

My phone is now too old to support AA and every single app recommended by Google to replace it have been either no good, non operational or too expensive. I've been listening and I've noticed Woody and Hutch mimicking Destiny's style. They structure arguments and use mannerisms similar to his.
They never fully commit to the style. It's like they're trying to copy Destiny ithout embracing the underlying values, principles and Consequences.
I was listenin to that debate between Hutch and Dick, and somethin stuck out to me. Hutch tried to use that Destiny trick where he's all like "OK, yeah, OK, I'm just gonna repeat the question". But it felt forced, you know? Like he was tryin to be Destiny, but didn't really get it and Dick obliterated him.
I think Woody's been watchin Destiny's vids and just parroting what he says. He doesn't really understand the subject matter, and when someone asks him a tough question, doesn't have the debate experienced Destiny has. It's like he's tryin to be someone he's not.
Woody needs to find his own voice and stop tryin to be a Destiny knockoff.
As a listener, it's uncomfortable. It feels like they're co-opting Destiny's style without understanding the nuances.
Has anyone else noticed this? Or am I being too sensitive.

I have spent half my life trying to learn social interactions and ive been copying behavior since I was 12, I thought I was getting better, I was making friends, talking to strangers and even became tolerable for most people.
Then recently, I suddenly felt tired, I stopped talking to most people, I suddenly didnt know how to react in social situations without prior preperation and I just became very "enclosed" in a way, I dont know how to describe it.
It feels like everything Ive worked for is just getting wasted, I feel like I am just slipping back to how I was 11 years ago. I dont have the mental energy to keep it up but I feel so scared and annoyed that all this effort is just getting wasted.
What happened? Why did I just revert back so suddenly?
