2024.11.25 05:00 Unrelenting_Royal "Stalker's smarts" and "Wiped out" achievement guide. Make sure to read text too.

Prior to my session both achievements had a 0% completion rate on Steam, and after completing them it changed to a 0.1% completion rate. This leads me to believe I'm the first (or one of) to nab them, and wanted to take the opportunity to help out some other Achievement Hunting Stalkers. This location is absolutely packed with good loot, so it's a must-visit location for any stalker.
First, when playing through the main campaign you'll find yourself at a place called camp Icarus. After completing some business there, the camp technician (the wrench iconic the map) will have a mission for you. After accepting, if you want to take care of "Wiped Out" at the same time, make sure to grab a grenade launcher and double check you're bringing the right GL ammo, I already made that mistake during a previous attempt. I personally suggest just packing the GL underbarrel⁴ and a 2-4 HEDP cartridges just in case you somehow miss.
Make your way to the quest marker until you make it in front of a warehouse in the train yard. You should see a door in front with a button to the right of it. Drop a save here for later¹. Instead of pushing the button walk to the right (between the building and the train) and look up, you should see the crate in the first picture.
Walk passed the building and turn to face the front of the train. You can use the cart hitch, the right headlight (your left), and the top trim all highlighted in the second picture to get on top of the train cars.
Climb along the path marked in yellow in picture three until you're lined up with the crate. Take note of the tower highlighted in pink². Do yourself a favor and make another save, the parkour is easy enough to get back up but it doesn't hurt to have a safety save. All that's left is jumping off and towards the window and grabbing the crate as you fall, which might take a few tries.
Congratulations! You've just unlocked "Stalker's smarts".
Now reload your first save. When proceeding normally, pressing the button will short circuit the door and require you to flip three breakers around the yard. ¹If you already grabbed the crate doing "Stalker's smarts" the button will no longer function and will lock you out of getting any of the loot inside.
²As your flipping switches, one waypoint will bring you to the tower highlighted in pink in picture three. Prep your grenade launcher and head up the stairs. A bunch of rodents will rush out the door giving you an opportunity to run back down the stairs and blast those rats all the way to Slag Heap without hurting yourself in the process. There's also a high likelihood of 2 or 3 feral zombies spawning nearby as well, so be ready to fight those as well.
Congratulations! You've just unlocked "Wiped out"
After flipping the breakers head back to the warehouse and push the button again. There's one of those ugly cloaked bitches inside that like to yoink your gun away, as well as several guns inside they'll use to blast your ass if you walk in willy-nilly. The better option is to aggro them enough to leave the warehouse and make killing it a breeze. I suggest shoving a shotgun down their throat.
The loot inside is pretty decent, but there's more exciting loot hidden elsewhere in the train yard. ²When flipping the breaker at the tower you may have noticed the password locked gate highlighted green in picture five five.
The numbers for the code are painted around the area starting with a train car near the top east section of the yard (2), then on the roof of an small building you can see from an overhang just a few meters south of the train car (4), then head a little bit southwest to an excavator (this one is supposed to be 6 but I thought it was an upside down 4 at first), and finally turn 180° and walk straight to the line of green carts to find the last number (8).
Two, Four, Six, Eight, who do we appreciate!? Whatever stalker left this loot here! Inside you'll find a safe with some basic goodies as well as several ammo and med crates, but best of all, a set of PSZ-5I HAWK armor which can be seen in picture 6. This set isn't as good as something like the SSP-100M SIRCAA set, but it's beefy enough to get you through the early to mid game without much need to worry about armor or resistances.
Lastly, and my personal favorite, after walking out of the tower head straight across the yard to a brick garage with 3 vehicle bays. The left and right doors will be open, so make your way in and to the middle bay. Sitting on some boxes will be a unique rifle named SOFMOD seen in picture seven along with some ammo and medkits. ⁴The greatest part about this rifle is since it's a unique AR416, you can grab this first and throw your GL underbarrel on right away!
After dropping the crate off with the technician he'll tell you to give him some time to make the psi suit and wait for his call. Hopefully this helps!

Hello all.
I made an apple pie, following the recipe by Preppy Kitchen. It's very good but I think it ended up undercooked because it was runny and I have two possible thoughts of why, but I wanted to ask in case I'm thinking of them wrong.
The first reason which, which may be minor but idk, is that I tented the center of my pie because the crust in the middle was getting dark pretty fast. This is something the recipe says you can do so I didn't really have concerns about doing it, and I'm not sure that it would really affect the result that much.
The second reason, which I think has the boggest opportunity to have fucked me up, is how the apples were measured. The recipe states in the ingredients: "3 pounds apples peeled, cored, and thinly sliced."
When it says that, does it mean A) Enough apples that when you peel, core, and slice them, you end up with 3 pounds of sliced apples Or B) Three pounds of apples pre-peeling, coring, and slicing.
I thought it meant A, so I ended up with 3 lbs of sliced apples, with which I made my tasty, but unfortunately runny pie, with surprisingly fresh apples in the filling post-baking.

A player in my campaign (Pathfinder 1) would like to create a custom magic item. For reference, here are the magic item rules:

She wants to base it on the Clockwork Amulet from Xanathar's Guide to Everything, which is D&D 5th edition. But that's fine as its mostly flavor text. The real issue is this: she wants this magic clock to be able to speak the time of day, or perhaps even start a timer or countdown, on command. I thought, "that's easy, we'd base it on the Magic Mouth spell, using it as a command word for the item." But by the rules, that means it's 1800 GP x 2 (spell level) x 3 (caster level), for a total of 10800 GP. She hates this. She wanted to use Ventriloquism instead, as it's a level lower, which would be cheaper, but that relies on a caster talking, so I nixed it. She then tried the [Auditory Hallucination]() spell, which I agreed would work, but it would be a thought in your mind. So you'd ask out loud "what time is it" and it would answer silently, just putting the time in your head. This works, but she dislikes the idea that it makes the wearer seem a bit crazy to others, as he or she walks around asking the time and no audible answer comes. Like they're talking to themselves.
So I put it to you all good people. Someone knows the magic item rules better than I do, or knows of a spell that makes intelligible speech at level 1, or has some other way to lower the price. Or maybe the answer is "that's too powerful, 10k gold is the correct price, stop messing with it." What do you all think? Any suggestions?

My boyfriend is Egyptian and offered to take me there for our Christmas holidays. He says it‘s a lot more LGBT friendly than the rest of Egypt as a resort town and he doesn’t think it will cause any problems. He hasn’t really lived in Egypt for two decades though so I‘m not sure I trust his judgement all that much.
The plan is for me to cross the border in boymode, and then once we are at the resort I can switch back to presenting as female. No one will really care or notice since it will be a big resort. I pass very well, so I don’t think anyone will really notice that I am trans. Will this work or am I taking a big risk?
