For context, my boyfriend/partner lost his job about a month ago and has been struggling to find new employment since. We still have no update on if he has been approved for unemployment or not while he continues to search for a job that can at the very least help with paying the bills that I've been fronting as of late.
He used to work at Target before ultimately being let-go due to poor management not wanting to assert responsibility for his lack of training and blaming him for poor performance that they clearly are liable for. He was given a bait-and-switch offer regarding how many hours he would be expected to work. Was promised close to 40 hours and was consistently being give no more than 30 hours a week and as little as 22 hours. His car has broken down, with zero way to repair it, so he no longer has a reliable form of transportation to get him around to a job that may be further out.
I have been covering for our portion of the rent, our half of the light bill, and our internet bill (since he needs access to the internet in order to apply for work). It roughly comes out to about $1,200 each month that I have to pay for both of us. This is essentially my entire paycheck that goes into paying for the two of us. Not to mention that I have a car note to pay of my own on top of those responsibilities. I am then left with almost no money to properly feed myself or him for the rest of the 2 weeks that I wait to get paid again and I also struggle with making sure I have enough gas for work as I travel more than 40+ miles round-trip. I have been on the lookout for a closer location that may need someone with my same position, but it has not garnered any results as of late.
And, speaking of vehicles, I have an insurance plan that is set to expire due to lack of funds. In order to ensure I do not owe this company money and can still maintain a current insurance plan, I need roughly $220 to cover the overdraft of my Milewise account along with $275 for a deferred citation when I was headed home from work back in October.
I am hoping to be assisted with $3,500 as that should be enough to cover my living and bill expenses. I am very desperate for help and your empathy and compassion goes a long way. Please help us.

To start this off I 25 female, live across the country from my family with my husband and 6 month old baby. I have lived away from home for over 4 years so I don’t always see what’s going on at home, but I am VERY close with my mum and we FaceTime multiple times daily. I am not as close with my dad as he would constantly come for me throughout jr high and high school about basically everything I was doing wrong. Our relationship is still strained and my husband even finds him hard to get along with.
Back story on my mum (age 51) and dad (age 50). They got together in their early 20’s and had babies very quick. I have one older brother and one younger, both live at home. My older brother (age 26) is working part-time and lives in my parent’s house with his finance, both have some mental health issues. My younger brother is in school. My dad became very sick with anxiety and depression in his late 20’s and my mum had to take care of the finances, getting us to school, dinners, and so much more. My mum always takes care of everyone and is the sweetest human I know. She still works to provide for my dad’s “lavish” lifestyle. They are building him a new hunting camp, new trucks, new trailer, he gets an allowance and he himself doesn’t work due to his disability, anxiety and depression. Mum is kind of digging herself a hole trying to keep up with his wants and is having quite a tough year as she works in sales and her clients keep giving her bad news left and right.
Now the problem. Last year my dad decided that mum had a drinking problem. I live away so I can’t say for sure but the woman liked to have a glass or two every night… with our family and the stressors going on at the time I’m not surprised, I would too. Her dad had also been dying from cancer for the past 2 years, he passed in October 2023. Mum and dad had some discussions with family and mum decided she would cut back and then later completely stop drinking. Oh and another thing, my dad has had people in his life who have had problems with alcohol and he doesn’t drink himself. Mum has been going to therapy, is in a group that she goes to frequently and so on. Last year 2023, there were two big fights I knew about. One where dad poured all of my mums alcohol down the sink (early in the discussions about alcohol) because she drove to choir at the church a little tipsy. Not okay but I think she was afraid to tell him she had a few too many as he can get very aggressive and yell. She definitely could have walked but the church is not even a km away. The other fight my dad called me crying in the car saying he was going to leave my mum because of her drinking, he denies he said it now. I talked to him and made him go back home as mum has been there for him time and time again and he needed to be there for her not just freak the fuck out and leave her.
Now I got this text from my dad yesterday: “Hey, I’m not sure if you have been in contact with your brother. Mum has been secretly drinking again. I know you have a difference of opinion about Mums alcohol abuse but I’m just trying to keep you in the loop.
Not to worry about me but I got upset and punched a wall later last night when I was by myself. Yes, I broke my hand. But I will be fine.
I love you, and I’m still here trying to support your mother through this. But she could use some daughter love today.
Love you”
I immediately called him to talk about the situation and what really happened. Dad found an empty bottle and questioned mum. She denied it was her and blamed one of my younger brothers friends. He kept asking her and she fessed up that it was hers. Yes she had a slip up and lied about it but damn it’s been a hard two years for the woman, heck a hard life. I told my dad that mum is in therapy and working on things and she needs support right now. I also told him how he needs therapy cuz punching a wall is not cool and the fact he can’t regulate his emotions really worries me for mums sake, he basically said he didn’t need it and that “if he didn’t hit a stud he would’ve been fine”. He has also done this twice before in their 25 year marriage, once with his head into the wall. My dad also proceeded to post that he punched the wall on his facebook… read into that what you will. I texted him saying he’s an idiot and that it’s attention seeking.
I just find it so hard to be far away but I’m trying my hardest to help mum realize it’s not just her that’s the problem here and my brothers are absolutely no help as they think punching the wall was a totally fair move on dads part. I also haven’t gotten my mum on the phone alone since it all happened so i haven’t been able to speak my mind. Called her yesterday and she was crying but my little brother (who never agrees with me) came in and i wasn’t able to speak freely and today i called and she was sit-in to watch a movie with dad???? I know you can only control your own response to situations but how do I get my mom to stop going back and just being okay with how he treats her? Am I the asshole for calling him out? And how can I help mum realize she’s not the whole problem here? Sorry if I’m missing info or if it’s a bit of a confusing read mom brain.

 | The city is once again opening the discussion on the Humboldt bike lanes. There will be a public meeting on December 4 to gather input and then it will come up to City Council again. There will be huge turnout from those pissed about the loss of parking. If you value these lanes and the whole plan to establish a solid network of bike friendly networks in the city I urge you to attend and speak up, and reach out to those who may not be entrenched in the issue but value the lanes. I see the lanes used every single day by workers in the neighborhood on bikes, scooters and boards; multiple parent/child groupings heading to or from school; and many others from waycearlg in the morning to far into the night. The city conducted plenty of outreach on this project which is sort of the bike master plan. They spent over a million bucks on the whole project including a significant federal grant as I recall; and they promised a serious effort at mitigating parking losses but there has been practically no real effort visible. For example they seem incapable of conjuring a parking permit program, stepping up commercial vehicle enforcement, or finding parking locations other than the streets. The city also wasted about 1/4 of a particular budget line conducting yet another “complete streets study” which included a repeat of the unwieldy outreach exercises they convinced just a few budget cycles before. The likely outcome here is that the parking warriors will win; the bike lanes will be removed; and we’ll be back a full step on the bike master plan, and cyclists and pedestrians will once again face brutally unsafe conditions in North Central. Hello guys, The amp on my non-bose Mazda 3 needs to be replaced and the mazda dealer in my country is quoting an obscenely high price for the replacement. He even said that an aftermarket amplifier won't work and my only option is to either buy from him or get a used one from scrap (tried and failed to find one in my country). What are my options ? Is it true that an aftermarket amplifier wont work ?

If you haven't (and I suggest you do), Buddy Matthews had a hell of a showing on Zero Hour in the fatal four way and was OVER as fuck.
I'm surprised he isn't in the C2 after that reception, but I digress. I think if AEW rides the Matthews momentum well and keeps him protected on the way to the PPV. I think these two can put on a clinic of hard hitting and high flying wrestling. Wouldn't hurt to give Buddy that home country win either.
