Noom, but behavior change for improving finances. A financial literacy app that is vibrant, fun/non-intimidating for Gen-Z and Millennials. Found one app called Zogo which is the Duolingo for financial literacy, but seems to be lacking education on financial psychology and the big WHY behind peoples financial behaviors (shame, overspending/avoiding their debt). This app would incorporate financial skills, knowledge on investing, budget tracking and ALSO financial psychology to get to the root of the problems. Most people make financial decisions based on their emotions and relationship with money. I would write a digital curriculum on the app (like duolingo or Nooms curriculum format) that would combine both financial skills, financial psychology and budget/investment tracking.
My skillset: I’m a licensed psychotherapist who specializes in treating financial phobias and anxiety. I have several clients who would strongly benefit from an app like this. I helped write the Noom curriculum for behavior change to weight loss. Very little technical skills but have worked for biotech and healthcare tech startups in the past.
Worth pursuing and submitting to YC? Thoughts and all feedback welcome.

2024.11.25 04:30 TheTrueClipse My cat scratched me and drew blood, now I’m paranoid about rabies
My cat Tamago (F 17 weeks) was a stray I tried gaining the trust of for about 2 weeks before I finally managed to get her in a cage without much resistance at all. I took her to the vet 3 days ago to treat her for an abscess I saw the day I met her. Since then I’ve been taking care of her and she’s been the most affectionate cat I’ve ever met, rubbing her face on me, bumping me, and demanding me scratch her everywhere. However, an hour ago I was cleaning her abscess and she scratched between my pinky and fingernail and drew blood. It didn’t look intentional, I think she just wanted to play. She had her professional exam at the vet, but I don’t remember my vet telling me if she got a rabies shot. Should I go to an ER or wait for my vet to contact me back? I’ve already tried setting up an appointment but everywhere is closed at the time of posting this.

My priorities are security of the mount (does it shift angles etc. while riding), it having vibration damping, and speed of mounting/dismounting. I'm unwilling to consider proprietary mounts such as Quadlock, nor other styles of universal mounts (e.g. frame bags or rubber strap type), nor am I interested in bike computer recommendations. Anyone know any server hosting sites that would be best for what i need?
List of wants/needs from it
- Costs 40$ or less a month for at least 8gb of RAM
- Is able to run a custom modpack
- Is able to get at least 40-45fps with 4 players (the max amount of members this server will have)
Are there any server hosting sites that you would recommend that meet these needs? i was thinking about either STEL or maybe Apex? i've been looking into which sites i should use but i've been seeing some contradicting opinions about most of the ones i wanted to go with.
Additional Note: The modpack i want to run has 100ish mods in it, there's a few performance boosting mods and most of the other mods are either pretty small or are QoL mods. The biggest mods in the pack (according to the file size) in order are Alex's Caves, L Ender's Cataclysm, The Aether, Aether Redux, Alex's Mobs, Butchery, Aether: Lost Content, Deeper and Darker, Controllable, Mowzie's Mobs, Quark, Born in Chaos, The Graveyard, And When Dungeons Arise.
Are any of those mods going to cause any big performance issues or bugs? if so let me know in the replies and if you want the full mod list just send me a dm.
Also, if you couldn't tell already i have zero idea how most of this stuff works.
