2024.11.25 05:30 Builder_BaseBot Some of 2v8 Trappers stats should be made baseline.
I can't be the only one who thinks it's crazy that Trapper is the only killer who can, baseline, drop a survivor by misplaying their power. I could be missing one, but the killers I have unlocked haven't. Even Xeno doesn't drop survivors to the flame throwers. This seems like a relic from DbD launch.
On the flip side 2v8 Trapper feels great to play. I'm able to use traps somewhat aggressively at loops. I have enough traps on me that I can use some strategically and some aggressively on loops. He's not s tier, but a lot of the gripes I've had with him are addressed with these changes. At the very least, I hope they make Makeshift Wraps baseline at some point. That's simply a QOL.
I think that's a direction BHVR should go in with killers. Not every killer should be blight/nurse tier, but they should at least keep with the time and pace of the game.

A couple questions, I have a few 2 prong outlets in my house, the rest are regular 3 prong. Is there any reason that those were not changed to 3 prong? They are connected to the same breakers as the other 3 prong outlets in the rooms. My guess on why those weren't changed is because they had floor lamps or table lamps only used there. Also my house was built in 1959 so the outlet box and some of the cover plates are metal. Should those be changed to plastic or are those ok to use if I replace the outlet?

Can anyone recommend an RO faucet that is 100% stainless steel, NSF certified (or has confirmed stainless steel/PEX/polypropylene interiors) to avoid metal leaching into the water? From what I gather from previous posts and online, both "lead-free" brass and stainless steel can still contain 0.25% lead, though stainless steel is less likely to contain lead and is more resistant to the corrosive effects of RO water. A vast majority of faucets I found were brass, sold separately or bundled with RO systems, (Kohler, Delta, Moen, Tomlinson, Rohl, APEC) with no product information on whether they are lined or not.
I did find a few SS and NSF certified faucets (listed below), but they have drawbacks. Might still consider them though. Any other suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

2024.11.25 05:30 morbidhack writing vs. songwriting - why is the latter so much harder than the former, and how to finish songs/get good?
writing has always come very naturally to me-- it's effortless--, and there's no shortage of topics on which i could write exhaustively. i have been applauded by various people for it (my writing), and encouraged to pursue it professionally, particularly when writing about my various personal struggles- my words really seem to resonate with people.
but when it comes to songwriting, which i've been doing for about 20 years now, it seems so infinitely much harder than regular old writing, and i've actually never finished a song. i could (finish a song), but am something of a pedant/perfectionist, and anything short of (what i deem to be) perfect, i'd deem unworthy, and just never post, or preemptively even just bother not writing; a sort of song abortion.
i know the answer is to just keep doing it tirelessly, and the truth is that even with 20 years behind me in the art, i've not been as attentive as i should've, diverting a lot more effort/energy to writing music rather than writing lyrics. music comes to me as effortlessly as (regular) writing does, but songwriting remains this immense obstacle for me. i feel everything has to be so big and important, if not downright dire, and gut-wrenching, and i have enough first-hand source material to write entire novels about my various experiences, yet when it comes to condensing them down into 3-5 minute songs, i struggle immensely.
so, i guess, my question is, as the title asks: why is songwriting so much harder than songwriting? and how can i actually complete my songs, and ideally make them good?
do i need to abandon my own self-imposed notion of everything needing to be so grand, and just let loose and be way more casual about it? or do i really need to just write a few hundred "songs" before everything eventually clicks? i've so much to say that i've almost a paralysis about it.
are there any good books or video resources on the subject which have been helpful, or do i just need do as nike has suggested all these years, and just do it?
