Hello all! I just bought my first element and wanted to just ask some things about this type of car! The one I bought is a Light Green 2004 EX for $4000 upfront, and it had no major issues except a broken engine temp gauge, broken hood button hatch thingy and some noisy breaks, but the dealer (a family friend) offered to get the gauge fixed, my dad is gonna fix the latch, and I don't mind the noise lol. She has a new motor and transmission still under warrenty (WOW!!), and runs like dream for 2004, and has around 240k-260k miles ?(i dont really remember loll). Im super pumped since ive seen so many great things about elements! I named her Phyllis because shes green, like chlorophyll, and I'm a biology nerd haha. The interior looks so great and the exterior is really well kept, and also has a roof rack from the previous owner.
Are there any mods or acessories any of you would reccomend for everyday use (I don't plan on offroading much or camping in it, mostly just commute and maybe roadtrips)? I've seen people talking about how the interior gauge lights suck, but are easily replaceable. I also plan on getting installable mirrors for the sun visors, a bluetooth plugin, and possibly a center console extension, along with just some personally decorations haha!
I'm so excited to finally become an Element owner and I feel like this is such a perfect setup as I've been really hoping to get one!! I'll add pictures tomorrow when we get her from the shop after that gauge is fixed!
