True Detective was a great show. The three seasons were all about grey neo-noir characters. Rustin Cohle, Marty Hart, Ray Velcoro, and Wayne Hays all had their heroic and their flaws to them. But the thing that they have in common is that they were “True Detectives”. Individuals despite their flaws and demons committed to fight the darkness of society by solving their cases.
The title True Detective was not supposed to refer to a franchise like CSI, or law & order. It was a reflection of what the character was.
When HBO and Isa Lopez titled it True Detective: Night Country, it changed the meaning of the direction and show itself. It was no longer a character drama but now a franchise spinoff called True Detective: Night Country.
What’s next? True Detective: Mexico, True Detective: Tokyo Drift?
This simple change to me indicated that HBO does not really respect their shows anymore. They view them as IP that can be milked for their name recognition.

I have a 1400 SAT, with a 4.3 weighted gpa and 3.8 unweighted gpa. I have some ECs related to Econ/tech. I’m wondering if my sat will rule me out. Also, I’ve been hearing that lots of top 6% kids put Econ as second choice. Will this lower chances for me, as those kids are more likely to get accepted to Econ for backup?

Wanted an opinion about play style. I pretty much suck at melee combos as in Souls games. I loved and did NG +2 Elden Ring because I could play as sorcerer with a ranged style and not need to do the melee timing fighting. Would I have fun in Ghosts if I suck in melee combat?

Yes, The title is exactly what happened.
My cat earlier scratched the bottom of my bare foot and startled me, in turn causing me to react forward in bed and kicked her off, startling her too. Now she is acting extremely distant. Hiding under furniture and even running away when I try to comfort her. Did I do something wrong?
