So here is it goes. Back in university ,I was struggling with some things that genuinely made me unable to focus or put my mind in to things to the point where I genuinely believed I had some extremely low cognitive capacities (turns out it was a long history of trauma ,I am still resolving).
At the time I was bullied and not particularly liked by teachers (understandable ,considering my scores at the time).
Expect this one maths teacher. He was so nice and patient with us to the point where I literally studied improved from lowest score to top scorers that year (only lol) ,and he defended me in teacher gatherings.
So here is the thing. While I am extremely grateful to him and would like to thank him ,I am also worried its would be a rude thing to do.
So I was considering giving a formal gift through the administation? Or anything to express gratefulness (without causing misunderstanding or discomfort) I have no idea how to go about it ,and I am willing to quit if its rude.
Can someone kindly share their insight with me?

Can the developers please rework the sleeve selection? If I create a new deck, it first takes a while before the "set default" button changes to the "confirm button", probably because I have so many sleeves. If I scroll down meanwhile it resets back to the top. Maybe just check if you are in deck creation/deck changeing mode or if you are in your profil to change the default sleeve BEFORE you show all the sleeves. Don't know why it is programmed like it currently is.
Does anyone else have this issue?

I really do need this job yes I mean I have some stashed money for the next 5-6 months but still like customer service is so crazy . Yes I do admit i did get hired as a cashier about 2 1/2 months ago and it’s my job but other people that have been there longer than me only do 1 thing everyday of their shift. It’s crazy how one person can learn everything and gets stayed in bc customer service alone when I don’t know everything at all and always calling head cashiers for help cuz im not sure. Christmas and the thanksgiving is almost here but this job is not it and I feel like im just stuck.

Alright so, first of all I really liked the way they chose to go with Viktor and Jayce. It was always about them, even tho I love Mel her relationship with Jayce was just comfort for them both. The true love and care is seen between them. Another thing that I loved was Sevika getting a seat at the table of counceliers, there's no one better in the undercity to there. Vi and Cait were nice, I have nothing to add to them except that I didn't really understood why there convo was the last scene we got, if you understood this choice please feel free to explain it.
Now about Jinx... I fucking hate it. I'm not sugarcoating this shit. I fucking HATE when people kill suicidal characters, specially if they are about to be happy before they die, when things are finally working out... what a terrible trope. Tbh this whole thing with suicide is a major TW for me, the last time I had a crisis like I had when I watched that shit was 3 year ago. Anyway, what I mean is that I don't really think that was necessary for the plot and if you're going to kill a suicide character please don't make them do that, I hate how she was the one to explode the bomb identical to the one that killed her family. And I fucking hate for Vi was left without her, losing Vander and Jinx in the same second AGAIN. Like come on we get it, it's tragic, there was no need to end like that. Also about Ekko... if you're going to leave him without Jinx don't fucking end on a sad as fuck parallel, show me that he got everything he wanted, tell me he cured that fucking tree.
I just... I really liked arcane but if I new it was going to end like that I wasn't gonna watch it. For the first time in 3 years I feel like I can't watch series while it's still incomplete, I'm gonna have to wait for everything to end so I know there's no suicide trigger warning. That's it, I'm expecting people to disagree with me and maybe to even go insane on the comments haha, that's fine. Also English is not my first language so I did my best, hope it wasn't to confusing. Context.
My direct manager (M40s married with kids) has a very weird and close relationship with a colleague (F early 20s) who reports to me.
For further context, he holds a senior position and she is an entry levels support officer.
Things that blur the lines:
They come into work together, they sit together (we have a WFH policy, and they always come into the office on the same day), they have lunch together and leave work at the same time.
Furthermore, she is getting given more opportunities and more senior responsibility than the rest of my team. For example she backfilled his role whilst he was on leave. She is no longer doing the role she was hired for.
Other colleagues appear to notice this too, but no has said anything.
Should I report this to HR? How do I do this without putting my neck on the line.
Would very much appreciate your help!

Most people, I'd hope, sleep once a day for several hours, specifically at night so that our body knows to be active during daylight, ideally 7 days a week, 365 days of the year if life allows it, and there's tons of research on the body's biological clock and how it affects performance or whatever, but suppose the following.
"Control" Person A: Follows a "normal" sleep schedule, goes to bed at 10pm and wakes up at 6am, getting 8 hours of sleep a day, consistently.
Person B: Has a consistent sleep schedule but does not sleep anywhere near the recommended amount - goes to bed at 3am and wakes up at 6am, getting 4 hours of sleep a day, consistently. Also known as me senior year of high school. Their body is not getting enough rest and
So both A and B get a different amount of sleep but still have a 24-hour rhythm.
Person C: Lives on a 24-hour-plus-5-minute clock - sets a bedtime one day at, say, 10pm on Monday, and sets an alarm to wake up 8 hours later, at 6am, BUT each successive day pushes bedtime and get-up-time back 5 minutes. So Tuesday's sleep would be 10:05pm-6:05pm, Wednesday 10:10pm-6:10am, etc. consistently until their sleep schedule would be out of the ordinary, like 11:50am-7:50pm, sleeping through most people's waking hours.
Assume factors like hours worked per day/week, productivity, mealtimes, social contact, physical activity, metabolism and BMI and gender, all emotional and biological aspects and needs, etc. are met and are as equal as can be for everyone, the only difference being the time of day they sleep and awaken. Assume they always fall asleep exactly at bedtime and their alarm wakes them up and they do not go back to bed no matter how difficult.
It's probably safe to assume B would not be as healthy in the long term as A. But would B or C suffer more, physically and mentally, in the long term? Would B or C eventually need assistance to maintain their schedule, like caffeine? Would they turn out much different from A? What if you increased Person C's day to 24:30, 25 hours, 25:30...?
In other words, who would most likely die first between B and C if every factor between them was kept equal? If B, how much would you need to adjust C's schedule to make their situation worse? Asking out of curiosity.
