My husbands temp job just ended and we were going over our finances and realized that we could actually afford for him to stay home with our 2 month old. He and I both grew up low income, with parents working all the time and not being really present with us. And when they were present, it wasn’t necessarily positive.
I am crying right now as I type this (yay for postpartum hormones) but I can’t believe that we can actually afford to have one of us stay home! We had talked about it before conceiving but now it is our reality.
I just feel very grateful and I wanted to tell someone. My parents are traditional so I don’t really feel like talking to them about it as they think my husband should be the “breadwinner.” But I actually like my job and it’s much more important to me that my daughter is with her dad every day than my husband and I following social norms to keep my family comfortable.
I just think that this is an amazing opportunity and I don’t want it ruined yet with negative remarks from my parents so I turned to Reddit to celebrate 😆 thanks for reading!
Edit to add: THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR THE LOVE! For real though! And for those with negative comments, that’s fine too! Your total strangers and we are never crossing paths irl so it’s no biggie.
I really did not expect this to blow up as much as it did. I was up early nursing and feeling all emotional and happy and wanted to talk about it. I’m so grateful to read the comments of those who were/who were married to/and who were the kids of a stay at home dad. They made me so excited for our future.
We don’t know how long this will work for us, but for now I feel so at ease with the idea of my daughter being with her dad. He is an amazing man and I am so proud to be his wife. He will be an amazing role model for our daughter.

I play of PC and before if was running just fine. With sometimes a 1 or 2 second freeze in a match. But now it constantly freezes for a long time. The frames are dropping like crazy a lot of times during a match. I only play career mode so it’s not a network issue. Does anyone else have problems with the game since the last update?

Hello! Im 19yrs old and i really want to apply to college and go to college under hopefully a scholarship but honestly i dont really know what im doing and i really could use assistance on how to apply or sign up for colleges TwT

Five months since she left 3months NC and I’ve struggled every single day, I’m broken and want nothing more than to hear from her and rebuild a life with her.
I was working the other night at a bar to assist a friend and to just get myself out the house on weekends so I don’t just sit and think about who she’s with or what she’s doing.
Just as I’m going to leave she walks past just behind a group of her friends and looks right at me, Says in the softest voice a quiet hello which I think was a drunken automatic reaction, We where both extremely shocked to see each other, I broke down then and there and she rushed off to her friends to the bar next door, She then came out and started to walk off by herself obviously not been able to be in the area I was, I wanted nothing more than to be able to go after her, talk to her and hold her but I can’t, I sent a friend to check on her as she was clearly drunk and I couldn’t leave her walking away alone and upset.
Friend spoke to her then came back and said she was extremely upset but also so angry still, She was very drunk and it’s just thrown me, I believe she hates me, She told me how she could never love anyone more than she could me but the anger and hate is clearly still there towards me.
I knew we where gonna see each other at some point but I think it would have been easier for me to see her with another guy than seeing her react with the sadness and anger that she had the other night. It’s set me back so much, I was never over her but now Im overthinking that her reaction shows that she hasn’t got over us yet, She’s training herself to hate me but I guess in a drunken state the sadness appeared also.
Man I want her back, I want her to reach out more than anything in this world.
