2024.11.25 09:50 1456honey I (25F) feel a little disconnected from my new relationship (26M) and am scared on what to do.
To keep it short we matched on tinder in July. Talked for a few days and ended up giving each other our snapchats.
Talked for a month before we met up on our first date.
He brought me a whole bouquet of roses and our date was paid for by a stranger first date went super well I left very happy and in a high.
2nd date comes and it was my second time seeing him in person and he instantly just called me his girlfriend i guess that was his way of asking me!??? So I was like woahhh wait that’s way to soon for me I wanna communicate and know each other more.
3rd date comes by and he instantly asked me to be his gf again in a parking lot. Saying he wants me to meet his entire family and friends but I feel like we’ve barely spent any alone time together to even be official yet?
4th date comes and so I said yes because it’s been 4 months of talking now and it’s my 4th time seeing him I felt like since I wasn’t talking to anyone else why not I do like him and genuinely wanna build a future & connection with him so I’ll say yes. Said yes and felt happy about it the entire time.
Now a month has gone by but I feel unhappy a little bit. Because he’s literally so cute. his family life is amazing, everything is awesome except how he makes me feel… there’s little things he does that just makes me unhappy a bit and it’s making me miss my ex (mind you my ex was very toxic I should never go back to him. but my ex did treated me amazingly and soo well it’s hard when a guy does less)
-he never offers me to choose a song in the car it’s always his music. That I thought I’m being a bit selfish on but I’d just wish sometimes he’d understand my songs cause music is a love language for me.
-he never ever offers me to pick a movie. When we’re together he will just choose a movie he likes, he wants me to watch the movie he likes or he thinks I might like it so he just puts it on. Or he will ask me if I’ve seen a movie before and if I say no he instantly puts it on without hesitation or asking if I was interested in it.
-he talks throughout the entire movie he will pause the movie every 5-10 minutes and describe what happens next. why. who and every little detail about a scene he will talk for a longgg time instead of just watching the movie and pressing play.
-he can’t stand when the movie is too loud so he is constantly turning the volume up and down like anytime a loud noise goes on he turns it down soo low that when a quiet scene comes on right after he turns it up. like I can’t watch a movie peacefully with him he’s constantly talking pausing or moving.
-everytime so far that I’ve slept over through the morning doesn’t matter if it’s his free weekend or he works that morning he will make the bed with ME IN IT!!! I get super cold so I like to wrap like a burrito- it’s tucked under me and he will pull it to make the blanket neat like he keeps the blanket on me but he will make it even. he does this EVERY TIME he’s not gonna be in bed anymore he has to make the bed.
-he lives life like it’s a routine. the bed is part of it so if he doesn’t continue his routine or goes off it he will get irritated easily or he can’t relax he gets all jittery can’t be still kinda thing.
-he barely texts me if he does it’s like telling me what his plans are for the entire day. He’ll say like “good morning I’m doing this this & that.” And he won’t text me back until he feels like it as I’ve noticed like for example he’d send that text at 5am won’t text me back until 6pm just to tell me what he’s gonna do for the rest of his night. Like he barely texts during the day.
-he constantly says things like he can’t be lazy he has to do his chores like he’s gonna get in trouble it’s weird. he can’t relax without his entire place being spot clean even if it’s just like one or two dishes he will get all anxious if it’s not clean.
-he has never cooked in his entire life he doesn’t even know how to cook eggs. He lives by himself but everyday I guess he either eats fast food or microwaves food he has never cooked for himself.
-he talks about his ex negatively randomly sometimes and he told me he was gonna purpose to her and they had an abortion together. They were together for 6 years and she cheated on him with her ex. supposedly she lived with him and when he broke it off she brought her mom with her to grab her things cause she was scared of him and he told me how mad he was that she was scared of him.
-he does have soft anger issues he gets irritated softly with strangers or his friends and coworkers even his cat he gets irritated with so easily. He gets super into video games that when he gets mad he kind of continues that energy for a while.
He was a little late to one of our dates and he did apologize but the entire car ride was him complaining about how he was late and he should’ve left sooner it was an hour drive of him just complaining instead of just trying to have fun. I tried to change the topic and he went straight back to complaining and beating himself up for it even tho I kept saying it was okay I just wanna be with him giving him reassurance.
I just feel like this relationship is already starting off as me walking on eggshells it’s all about him and he makes me feel happy sometimes cause he’s cute. I want a bestfriend type of love and I really don’t wanna give up but it’s hard cause it feels like he talks soo much he gives me no room. and when I do have room to talk he will softly Interrupt me with a random person walking the street or something else that caught his eye and he says sorry for interrupting me but it still sucks that when I finally get to open up it’s back to him.
It’s only been 1 month together and his family Knows me my family knows him and thanksgiving is in like a few days I feel guilty and horrible for wanting to end this because we already got into each others personal life’s but I feel like there is no connection on my side. I keep wanting to tell myself stay and build it but I’d rather be with my ex when I’m with him it makes me cry about my ex and my ex and I have been broken up for almost 2 years now I haven’t thought about my ex for a long time.

So it is a long text but I thought it could be fun if you tried to type me based on what my friends wrote about me when we graduated:
"Crazy, crazy, Hannah. When you meet Hannah, the first thing you notice is her thoroughly haphazard and wacky nature. Because Hannah already starts the morning by being late on a regular basis. Whether she overslept, had to quickly feed her cat or her bike was out of order again and she had to walk - she always has a reason. It's often inexplicable, because Hannah's lateness is often longer than the time it takes her to get to school. When she arrives at school, she then sits down unconcerned, which is perhaps also one reason why she is hardly noticed by teachers. This doesn't seem to be a problem with Hannah, however, because she is so inconspicuous that her lack of homework and barely any oral contributions go unnoticed by the teachers. Is it pity that her oral grades are not too bad despite this? In any case, Hannah usually scores very well in writing. She often doesn't even study because she is apparently less disappointed with her results if she hasn't tried at all. She also likes to pass her boredom in biology lessons by singing songs loudly and off-key with Lisa. Hopefully she won't become a singer in the future. As for her taste in music... a difficult subject. As Hannah went through a pretty intense rock music phase in which her taste in music was very different from that of her friends, her circle of friends decided that she should never be the one to connext with the BT Box so that they wouldn't suffer any other consequential damage. Unfortunately, Hannah's guitar career didn't take off either, and she still can't even read music. What a shame, we would have been happy to have a guitar around the campfire more than once. After refusing alcohol for a long time, she couldn't resist it, but does she feel anything at all of it? Not in her opinion, but the rest of us have already experienced its effects. Nevertheless, she always entertains us at parties with her funny manner and always has an open ear for people who need to talk. In addition to her regular afternoon nap, her other leisure activities include weekly swimming training and, more recently, kickboxing, and Hannah is generally enthusiastic about all sorts of things and is always ready to start something. Hannah also has many strange but practical habits. These include twitching, but also regularly carrying all kinds of objects in her jacket pocket or backpack. Whether it's a pocket knife, a single shoelace, plasticine or a wide variety of pens, there's always something suitable if needed. However, her pronunciation of some words is annoying. (Followed by examples that do not make sence in english) Maybe you'll learn it one day... Surprisingly, she already has a plan for the time after her A-levels, although she has no concrete ideas about her future. Fortunately, she was able to fulfill her childhood dream of riding in an ambulance at the age of 16. In August, she will be going to Peru for the first time for a year to work on social projects and improve her Spanish skills at the same time.

He addresses himself in the second line. Furthermore in the last 2 lines of Tarana-e-Hindi, Iqbal also references him own name as if referring to a third person.
اقبالؔ کوئی محرم اپنا نہیں جہاں میں
معلوم کیا کسی کو درد نہاں ہمارا
Similar examples can be found in Mir's poetry along with Khusrau's couplets, as well and even in non-Urdu poets of Medieval India like Kabir, who turn themselves into characters in the scenarios they are representing in their poetry. Sometimes the name is even dropped seemingly randomly in one of the lines. Could anyone give insight into this stylistic choice and its origins?
