Hi everyone.
I am working on a game centred around the history of beginnings of hip-hop, where a character who has low confidence looks to become the best Dj/RappeBreakdancegraffiti artist he can. The game play is centred around walking through the streets of the 5 boroughs of NYC, meeting people to learn new skills/overcome impostor syndrome and find challenges.
My issue is that the part of walking around the city feels a bit boring to me. The player can start doing graffiti around the city, which makes it more exciting, and I have thought to add a way to get up the buildings to make that part more exciting.
Do you have any suggestions, or game suggestions for inspiration that I could have a look at?

Hey folks, When I turn on my space heater, I expect it to take a few minutes to warm up. But I've been running it at full temp for hours and it won't warm the room. I can feel heat when I'm standing right in front of it, but the heat doesn't seem to go any farther than that. What's happening with this thing?

Hi everybody!
This is my first ever post on reddit! :) I'm happy that it is for this sub.
I have an issue with my setup and hope that some of you can help. I'll try my best to explain it.
There are four services at play:
- OPNsense: at
10.7.0.1(and public static WAN IP) - Technitium DNS/DHCP: at
10.7.0.4 - DMZ reverse proxy: at
10.7.0.5 - Mailcow: at
10.7.0.6
80,443 to 10.7.0.5 and ports 25,110,143,465,587,995,4190 to 10.7.0.6.Global DNS setup is pretty straightforward:
example.org A xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (public static IP) *.example.org CNAME example.org example.org ANAME border.example.org (OPNsense) border.example.org A 10.7.0.1 dmzserv.example.org A 10.7.0.5 mailserv.example.org A 10.7.0.6 mail.example.org CNAME example.org mail.example.org a CNAME for example.org? The reason for this is that I only have one public static IP. I had to ask my ISP to set rDNS for this. Due to my OCD, I didn't want to set this rDNS entry to mail.example.org. It is, instead, set to example.org. Due to this, Mailcow's hostname (that it presents during EHLO), is actually example.org.Onto the problem. I cannot set up an email client while I'm inside my private network due to: (a) I can't seem to figure out how to properly set up NAT reflection; (b) if I wanted to avoid NAT reflection, I can't figure out how to make OPNsense port forward when the packets come from inside the network. I think? (b) is my preferred solution.
The reason I want to keep the split DNS configuration nearly the same for the mail is to enable seamless roaming. I could use a different hostname to set up my mail clients while inside the network (for example
mailserv.example.org) but this will not roam outside of the private network. I'm also concerned about not using NAT reflection, because presumably due to DNS TTLs it may happen that a laptop will attempt to connect to a local IP network once it has left the private network.I understand my writing may be a little bit haphazard. I hope it makes some sense. Happy to answer questions! :)

2024.11.25 11:30 Fuzzy--2 Arranged marriage pressure.
I am 25 and my mom is behaving like I am 35. Any time some talk about arranged marriage comes she acts like this is my last chance and no one will ever want me. In my family and community, most of the people who are of the same socio-economic status as my parents, their children (both son and daughters) don't get married till like 27. Only if there are special circumstances or the couple have been dating and want to get married, they get married.
But mom is listening to her friends who give examples of some of their relatives who she knows just by their name or photos uploaded by her friends and how their daughter got married as soon as she turned 22 and then go off on me about how old I am and how I won't be able to have children, etc.
I am not good at studying and still haven't cleared my bachelor's degree and am a little fat and I am working on all weight loss, clearing bachelors and getting a job. I do 70% of house chores because I feel embarrassed staying at home and not earning money. But still mom complains about how I am a burden and I need to go.
I really don't understand why she thinks of me as such a burden. It's not like I demand money from her or go out with friends or go shopping. It is not like we live in some uneducated village where everyone gets married at 18. She was the only one in the whole family who got married so young and it seems like she is taking out all the anger on me.
She didn't let me go abroad after 12 saying they'll let me go after bachelors degree for master's degree. But then I took a gap year after 12 and another year got lost due to lockdown and now she says I can't go abroad at all and need to get married no matter what within the first half of 2082.
