Me and my bf of 9 months (dating for about 13 months) decided to end things as we both want different things long term. Namely I want to adopt/foster but he doesn't want to. I did say this when we started dating but I don't remember what his reaction or response to that was at the time. We've decided to mutually break up.
I am aware that we both might change our minds in future about this but that's not guaranteed. I didn't want to continue the relationship to later break up when our feelings maybe stronger and the hurt would be alot worse. (I'm in pain atm, my first break up).
My question is whether we can still be friends? I don't want him out of my life but I know i need to be selfish to protect myself and to protect him. Eg if he moves on before and finds someone else that will be difficult to see and vice versa. Not being able to have a future with him. He doesn't have many friends, I did encourage him to make new ones but I feel guilty if I stop communication altogether.
He is so sweet and I wish that things were different. I don't want him to change his mind for him to resent me later about children and the same for me.
Some people have said we could still be friends.. my close friend says it won't work without either of us getting hurt. I'm frazzled.

Hello, I know its a little bias coming into the tekken 8 sub but I'm really interested in this game. The graphics look great as well, unsure on how good performance is though.
I would be a beginner when it comes to fighting games but I wouldn't be against multiplayer, it's £20.49 on cdkeys atm and I doubt it will go cheaper than that on steam or any other shop as it stands the cheapest official store is selling it for £45 so. What else can you do in the game? Thank you in advance.

I’m about 6 weeks post discard and finally have a had a breakthrough with my wife. She apparently did sleep with someone while manic which I expected and we were separated at the time, so while I’m disappointed and sad I’m not angry. She also is catching feelings for someone who she feels like understands her disorder and is interested in it even though they don’t have feelings for her. I hope I can convince her that I understand and I know what she is going through.
The other side of it is, she still is wanting a divorce. She loves me and my kids but feels that the stress that comes with us really held her back and helped cause this episode. I actually don’t disagree, but I feel it’s because she was not able to set healthy and appropriate boundaries with being a stepmom and also that she did not compromise when it came to sharing burdens and responsibilities.
I don’t want to lose her but I don’t know how to convince her that we can build back better from this. We both have work to do on our own to be sure, but I can’t accept that there is no path forward. Openness, good communication, and healthy boundaries could be established instead of quitting on everything.

Currently, I’m using an M1 MacBook Air with 8GB RAM and an M2 Pro MacBook Pro with 16GB RAM.
When working on 1-minute 4K projects with heavy Log color grading, the MacBook Air often freezes and shows the spinning beach ball, while the M2 Pro MacBook Pro handles them smoothly.
Based on this, I’ve realized that the performance of the M2 Pro is sufficient for my workflow.
I’m considering selling the M1 MacBook Air and getting the base M4 Mac Mini (16GB RAM) instead. Do you think the M4 Mac Mini’s performance will be comparable to the M2 Pro, or will it fall significantly short?
