Devotional: Eternal Promises: Hope in the Afterlife Scripture Reading:
“And this is the promise that He made to us—eternal life.” – 1 John 2:25 (ESV)
As we journey through life, we often find ourselves gripped by the pressures of the present—worries about our jobs, relationships, and the uncertainties of tomorrow. In the midst of this chaos, it is vital to remind ourselves of the eternal promises that God has laid out for us. Chief among these is the promise of eternal life—a gift that transcends our current struggles and offers a profound hope for the future.
The world can sometimes feel bleak, and it’s easy to lose sight of the bigger picture. We may question our purpose or the meaning of our suffering. Yet, as believers, we are anchored by the promise that our lives extend beyond what we encounter here on Earth. In Christ, we have the assurance that our lives are imbued with hope that doesn’t fade, even in the darkest of times.
Reflect: Take a moment to consider what eternal life means to you. Does it mean reuniting with loved ones who’ve gone before? A chance to dwell in God’s presence free of pain and sorrow? Or perhaps it’s the fulfillment of dreams and desires you may have struggled with in this life. Whatever form it takes, the essence lies in knowing that God has a beautiful future prepared for us.
Jesus speaks of this promise in John 14:1-3, where He comforts His disciples by saying, “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms… I go to prepare a place for you.” How comforting it is to know that God is intentionally preparing a place just for us! It reflects His love and desire for us to be with Him eternally.
Rejoice in His Promise: As we meditate on eternal life, let us rejoice in the freedom it brings. We can release our anxieties about temporal matters, knowing they are but momentary trials. Romans 8:18 reminds us: “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.” The hardships we endure today are but stepping stones towards an everlasting life filled with joy, love, and peace that surpasses all understanding.
Pray: Today, let’s pray for a renewed sense of hope. Heavenly Father, thank You for the promise of eternal life. Help me to fix my eyes on the things that truly matter. In moments of doubt or despair, remind me of the glory that awaits me with You. May this hope fill my heart and spill over into my interactions with others, so I can share the light of Christ in a world that desperately needs it. Amen.
Take Action: Make it a point this week to encourage someone who might be struggling with feelings of hopelessness. Share the promise of eternal life with them, and let them know that there is a beautiful future awaiting us all. Invite them to join you in worship or to talk about faith. Together, we can strengthen one another in the hope of what is to come.
As we hold tightly to the truth of eternal life, may our hearts overflow with joy and encouragement. Let us stand firm in our faith and share the good news of God’s eternal promises, lighting the path for others in the journey toward everlasting hope.

Shell sort is a highly efficient sorting algorithm and is based on insertion sort algorithm. This algorithm avoids large shifts as in case of insertion sort, if the smaller value is to the far right and has to be moved to the far left. Shell short is an improved and efficient version of Insertion Sort rather while compared with other Sorting Techniques like Merge Sort , Bubble Sort and Selection Sort which we have already discussed earlier. In this algorithm we sort the pair of elements that are far apart by gap h. The process is repeated by reducing h until it becomes 1. This algorithm uses insertion sort on a widely spread elements, first to sort them and then sorts the less widely spaced elements.

My phone is so broken so I hope I’m spelling everything right bc I can barely see the screen but I have been working at hungry jacks for a couple months and my availability was originally only Friday Saturday and Sunday bc of school and me not living in the same town as where I work, but now my availability is everyday bc I am on holidays but anyway they would only roster me on Sundays so once a week or even one Sunday every 2 weeks I thought it was just bc my availability was only 3 days a week but now that it’s everyday I’m still only getting one shift a week on a Sunday and only for 4 hours, is there any reason this might be happening ( I’m 17 and a hard worker and I don’t ever slack off), or should I ask them for more shifts?? It’s my first job so I’m not exactly sure of everything yet.
