I am taking on an incredible series of challenges to raise awareness and funds for stroke research. i am walking the yorkshire 3 peaks once a month for 12 whole months, This also includes walking the Dales Highway in January 2025, the Coast to Coast Walk from St Bees to Robin Hood's Bay in September 2025, and from Robin Hood's Bay to Horton in Ribblesdale to complete the final month's challenge of walking the Yorkshire Three Peaks. But this isn't just about conquering mountains; it's about conquering strokes.
⭐️Why Strokes Matter:⭐️
Strokes affect millions of lives worldwide, leaving survivors and their families grappling with physical, emotional, and financial challenges.
My grandad passed away in January 2023, My personal connection to this cause drives me to make a difference.
⭐️My Commitment:⭐️
For 12 months, I'll lace up my boots, breathe in the fresh Yorkshire air, and trek across Pen-y-ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough. Each step will raise awareness and funds for stroke research. In addition to this, I will be taking on the Dales Highway and the Coast to Coast Walk. I will walk from the finish of the Coast to Coast to Horton in Ribblesdale to complete the final month's challenge of walking the Yorkshire Three Peaks.

And that's not all—I'm also considering taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge not in the 24 hours but 3 seperste occasions from may 2025 onwards , which includes Ben Nevis (Scotland), Scafell Pike (England), and Snowdon (Wales).

⭐️The Dales Highway in January:⭐️ This 90-mile trail stretches from Saltaire to Appleby-in-Westmorland, traversing the stunning landscapes of the Yorkshire Dales. It's a challenging route that showcases the beauty of the region, with varied terrain and breathtaking views. The total elevation gain for this walk is approximately 14,003 feet.
⭐️Coast to Coast Walk in September 2025:⭐️
This iconic route covers approximately 192 miles, starting from St Bees and ending at Robin Hood's Bay. It crosses the North York Moors and the Lake District before reaching the Yorkshire Dales. The total elevation gain for this walk is approximately 22,000 feet.
⭐️Robin Hood's Bay to Horton in Ribblesdale:⭐️ After completing the Coast to Coast Walk, I'll continue from Robin Hood's Bay to Horton in Ribblesdale, covering approximately 100 miles with an elevation gain of around 9,000 feet.
⭐️Yorkshire Three Peaks Monthly Challenge:⭐️ Each month, I'll be tackling the Yorkshire Three Peaks, covering a total of 24.5 miles and 5,200 feet of ascent each time. Over 12 months, this will amount to 294 miles and 62,400 feet of elevation gain.
⭐️Total Mileage and Elevation:⭐️
⭐️Yorkshire Three Peaks (12 months):⭐️ 294 miles, 62,400 feet of elevation gain.
⭐️The Dales Highway:⭐️ 90 miles, 14,003 feet of elevation gain.

Вслед за Молдовой президентские выборы проходят в Румынии. "Черным лебедем" на них стал "независимый кандидат" (то есть самовыдвиженец, которого не поддерживала ни одна партия) Келин Джорджеску, который неожиданно ворвался в группу лидеров. Он претендует даже на самый высокий показатель в первом туре и на то, чтобы выйти во второй тур.
Что мы знаем об этом кандидате? Он откровенно позиционирует себя как крайне правый - аж коричневый, прославляет времена, когда Румыния была союзницей нацистов во времена диктатора Антонеску, которого считает "мучеником", в ходе кампании опирался в основном на ТикТок, как платформу для продвижения своих идей, критиковал НАТО и ЕС, критикует размещение в Румынии американских баз, считает войну России против Украины следствием заговора американских компаний производителей-оружия... На фоне Джорджеску даже "городская сумасшедшая" Диана Шошоаке (лидер SOS Romania - небольшой ультранационалистической евроскептической партии) кажется умеренной и сдержанной.
Что еще известно о Джорджеску? В свое время представители одиозной ультраправой AUR рассматривали его как кандидата в премьер-министры Румынии.
Создается впечатление, что большинство голосов, которые он получил, это голоса протестного электората, которому не понравилась деятельность большой коалиции мейнстримных партии социал-демократов (кандидат на президентских выборах - действующий премьер-министр Марчел Чолаку) и национал-либералов (кандидат - экс-премьер-министр Николае Чуке). И вот весь этот протестный электорат увидел в бюллетене слово "независимый" и проголосовал за него (напоминает Германию, где противники большой коалиции социал-демократов и христианских демократов стали голосовать за Альтернативу для Германии).
Конечно, они могли бы проголосовать за альтернативного независимого кандидата - Мирче Джоане, который до недавнего времени был заместителем Генсека НАТО. Но именно этого "независимого" кандидата больше всего атаковали мейнстримные политические партии, потому что опасались, что если он пройдет во второй тур, то выиграет.
Конечно, они могли бы проголосовать и за кандидата от альтернативной проевропейской и проукраинской политической силы USR - Елену Ласкони, но ее атаковали и мейнстримные партии, и независимые кандидаты, в том числе Джоанэ.
В результате, получили вот такую вот неожиданность...
Предательства все еще нет. Вероятность победы Келина Джорджеску во втором туре мизерная. Изменой стало бы прохождение во второй тур Джорджеску и, скажем, Симиона - лидера AUR. Вот тогда это было бы не просто румынской, но и вообще региональной катастрофой. Сейчас же румынский дип-стейт на полную мощность включит все свои механизмы, чтобы этого не допустить. Все вменяемые румыны, а их - я верю - большинство, будут голосовать во втором туре за любого, лишь бы не Джорджеску.
Однако, все это не просто тревожный сигнал, это набат. Пока мейнстримные политические силы интригуют и ставят друг другу элегантные подножки, "темные попутчики" избирателя берут верх над здравым смыслом и ведут своих лидеров к победам. Если Европу ждет большая война, то приближается Европа к ней крайне ослабленной.

Got a baggy shirt recently that fits my shoulders quite well, but the length of the garment has me questioning if it's supposed to be that way. When I wear it, the length of the shirt goes all the way down to covering my buttocks completely, to the point where the lowest part of the crotch of my jeans (if I wear normal low rise jeans) and puts any pants I have out of proportion. Is it meant to be this way? And if so, what do I do to better style them?

Jak w tytule - szukam polecajki książkowej, w stylu militarnej fikcji/technothrillera jak pisał Tom Clancy. Ewentualnie thrillera szpiegowskiego.
Mam jednak parę wymagań: - Ja sam nie jestem doświadczony w gatunku poza Tomem Clancy i... uciekło mi nazwisko autora H.M.S. Unseen. - Szukam książki na mój mały klub czytelniczy (czołem Dartax jeśli to czytasz), więc fajnie jakby osobę niesiedzące w klimatach się dobrze bawiły. - Nie szukam książki "dokumentalnej", jak "Szpieg wśród przyjaciół" (żeby nie było, podobała mi się!) a bardziej fabularnej, jak właśnie Clancy pisał. Może być oparta na prawdziwej - Zależy mi w dużej mierze na intrydze. Im większa, tym lepiej. Spisek na cały świat, uwzględniający głowy państw? Let's go! - Nie szukam jednak Jamesa Bonda, czy Jacka Reachera, czyli spluwa w dłoni i przywalamy złym. Fajnie jeśli wchodzenie wojska jest, ale nie szukam "SEAL wjeżdża i sprząta", zależy mi raczej na rozkminieniu intrygi, wywiadzie i kontrwywiadzie... No bardziej szpiedzy niż komandosi

I had a rough childhood.I was bullied by my peers and family.I'm not blaming them though i was visibly different from them.They mocked my walking,talking and quite everything.I was very shy and scared about everything at all times.I don't know if those traits loaded in me over time or i had them naturally.The problem with me now is those traits haven't changed at all just i got more dumber.I realize things way too late .Most people realize those things in a second i realize them after a minute.This trait seems innocent and have no harm but when it happens people blantly tell me that im dumb and even without they telling me that takes a huge toll on my mental health.And i want to change how my brain works,be smarter ,more bubbly i want to change everything about me.I know i do it for people i know im doing it because of childhood traumas.But i want to change and i don't know how to.I will be so happy if you guys share your insights with me

Today was a sad day, and it just made me reflect and think to myself, and I am a big overthinker, "am I good enough for relationships?" Like, am I of enough quality to be someone else's companion? I'm usually full of self doubt sadly, but after today, I just think I will never get in a relationship. I, 18m, never chased girls at school or anywhere, and never even thought about relationships, just hoping perhaps the right person would be with me at the right time. But I guess I am wrong. I understand they're difficult, but I'm the sort of person who is happy to commit to something if its worth it, and want success for me, them, and us both short and long term. But perhaps some people just aren't made for relationships, like ever? Like now I can see why so many people say they're giving up on dating in this subreddit. Probably add me to that list now. Just wondering what everybody's networks look like? I am wanting to set up a new WiFi network to keep all my IoT devices on a separate network (to keep the spy's out!). I do have Zigbee devices and know that uses 2.4ghz, so just wondering if anyone has problems with multiple WiFi routers running 2.4ghz and zigbee at the same time. Also what switches/routers you all use.
My home assistant is growing every day so need to come up with solutions to keep my networks from slowing with all the devices! Appreciate any insight you guys might have for me
