The small split system in my son's bedroom is set to cool mode 23°c. It initially lowers the temperature and humidity but after an hour or so, the humidity shoots back up.

2024.11.25 10:53 Eminaxity How to convince my Servant-Leader (Ministry of Altar Servers) to let me serve in the Latin Mass? And how do I advance my learning in the liturgy and finally become a Masters of Ceremonies? (very long post, pls forgive me)

Hello! Just to give you context, I attended the Latin mass here in my diocese and I talked to the servers that were there just this Solemnity of Christ the King. I told them whether or not I could learn the Latin mass, and they said yes! Even offering me the opportunity to serve there. Consequently, said Servant-Leader of my ministry has already served there in the chapel that celebrates the Latin mass, along with the other officers of our ministry. But in the ministry that I am currently serving in, we cannot serve at parishes or chapels without the prior knowledge of the Servant-Leader (equivalent of a president in an organization). So I told my Servant-Leader, if I can learn and serve in the Latin mass. He told me that the orientation of Novus Ordo and the Latin mass are different, and he doesn't want us to fall into the spiral that he did (don't know what he meant), and he just wanted our well-being. I told him that I wanted to be knowledgeable in the liturgy, both Novus Ordo and TLM. Just to sidetrack for a bit, I have longed for any mentors to teach me what they knew about the liturgy, both theological and practical (serving during mass, becoming a Masters of Ceremonies). From the start of my journey to learning the liturgy until now, I only had ONE person that taught me the ropes. He is an acolyte, to be ordained a deacon this December, and from the goodness of his heart, he taught me the parts of the Roman Missal (ad populum), and gave me a kind of "blueprint" to becoming a good Masters of Ceremonies. He told me to memorize the parts of the mass well, especially where to find in the Missal the different collects, prefaces, solemnities, et cetera. Though over time, I had to seek out learning the liturgy for myself: going to pontifical masses, reading different books, and now attending TLM. The reason I want to learn the liturgy and to become a Masters of Ceremonies is because if Pope John Paul II says that the mass is "Heaven on Earth", I want to do my part in organizing it, making sure it is as solemn as it can be, because at the end of the day, I want to say to myself that I did my best in making sure that I did my job as a server well. The officers in my ministry now are the ones that are only allowed to become MCs. The qualification right now is that they should have done well in their aspirancy stage (during altar server training), and has tenure. An organization in the Catholic university that I'm in, finally gave me a sliver of light in where I could finally learn and to become a proper Masters of Ceremonies in mass, this organization is a Catholic org that handles masses and catechetical duties here in our uni. At the end of the second term next year, some executive board members have recommended me to run for a position in the executive board which finally allows me to practice what I have learned these past few years and months. Subsequently, my Servant-Leader was also president of that org, so I have to somewhat prove I am competent like him. But the problem is, I still don't have someone to teach me the ropes about becoming a proper Masters of Ceremonies and proper liturgy training. Out of the 80 members that we have in our ministry, only 5-8 are allowed to become MC to the priest/bishop. And when opening conversations about the possibility of becoming an MC, the officers diffuse the conversation quickly, and they have a succession plan where after they are done serving, they also have a list of servers that are next in line. So now you see my point in where I have to do this all by myself, where the officers already had training from the deceased MC of the diocese (may his soul rest in peace) at such a young age. So I am at a disadvantage here because they learned all these things at such a young age with ease, while I have to search different forums, articles, and even buy books just to gain the knowledge they have gained. Back to the TLM situation, he told me that we should talk at the end of this month, and gave me three questions to reflect upon:

Are these goals S.M.A.R.T.? (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound)
Why do you have these goals?
To whom do you dedicate these goals to?

I was wondering if the community could help me convince him, and to be real honest of why I want to advance my learning in the liturgy and to serve the TLM is that the Holy Mass gives me purpose in my life. And like what i said about my reason for also wanting to becoming an MC earlier on, is that if the Mass is "Heaven on Earth" then I want to do my part, and to go above and beyond just becoming an altar server in ensuring that the Mass is solemn, in order to give the maximum reverence and respect people have for the Mass. People may say: "oH YOu jUst wAnt tO wEar soMe fanCy vEsTMEnts", the answer is definitely not. Because of the Eucharist, my depressive thoughts went away, knowing that there is someone who loves me, and is willing to die for my sins. So in return, I want to return that love to Jesus, through learning the liturgy, becoming a competent MC, and also by serving in the Latin mass in which to me feels that it is something that is not of this world, a Mass in where tradition is steeped. Yes, I attend Novus Ordo masses and TLM, and I feel that if I don't get to attend the two in the same day, my Sunday obligation isn't fulfilled. I also want to learn all these things because I also want to be a competent executive board member for the organization I am in. It's mission is to bring people closer to Christ, and I am afraid that I may not be able to complete that mission if I am not able to learn and do all these things. May isang beses na sumakit nang sobra puson ko dinala na ako sa ospital. Negative sa pregnancy test, of couse. Ang ending, UTI daw? After ~6 years, saka ko lang nalaman na may PCOS ako. Ibig sabihin ba, yung sakit ng puson ko noon, signs na yun? Kung oo, bakit hindi sya naconsider noon nung kung sino man yung nagcheck sakin. Hindi pa ba ganun ka-well known ang PCOS nun?

We have a rather large and high-traffic Azure app, composed of web app, multiple function apps, a bunch of storage accounts, SQL server, event grid, etc. Now we are seeing connection timeouts and connection failures between random components in high traffic times, something that has not happened ever before, workload or traffic has not significantly changed beyond the usual fluctuations.
Connections are retried and timed out multiple times, which causes connection failures after 5-10 minutes, depending on retry counts. There is no pattern or specific destination that times out, even localhost calls to update tokens are failing (127.0.0.1/msi/*), system topics fail to be delivered, event topics too. HEAD requests to storage accounts time out, I have seen some with a return code of and a sub-code of 429 (which points to a busy->retry)
A ticket to Azure Support resulted in many hours of support meetings and investigations but didn't reveal anything at all. According to MS there is no resource throttling happening. We know that the new token-bucket algorithm has been applied to our subscriptions long time ago already,
So my question now - any other ideas what might be the root cause for this behavior? Where to look into to find more information?

I am a LLF, dating a HLM. We have had many talks around this difference and I’ve really been trying to do better. We are on vacation and have been intimate 3x in the week (the time change has been killer and we’ve been exhausted many nights). Today he asks if I’m satisfied, I said that I am. And then he brings up that I am not normal and should talk to someone and that he had not dealt with this in his past relationships.
I love him, and I want it to work, I’ve been trying to do much better by initiating and complementing him. And even he says that I have been.
I just don’t have the libido he does, I’m happy to fulfill his needs 2-3x a week, because I want him to be happy. But I can’t lie, it’s for him, not me.
My question is to those with high libido, can I ever make him truly happy? I feel like a total failure. I just want to feel like enough.

I am planning on picking up a couple of the Fellow Atmos electric vacuum co tai ears for my beans during their Black Friday sale. Plus and additional one to gift out. I am seeking advice from those that already have the containers on the ideal size. Since they are offered in either the 0.7L or 1.2L, which have you found the best size to purchase. Or which size do you wish you had purchased. I assume the 1.2L size would be the answer as Fellow says it can hold up to 16 oz of beans. But most beans purchased are 10 or 12 oz. Would the less space for air be a better choice For the 0.7L? or with the 0.7L always starting completely full cause chaff or debris to add to clogging any vacuum mechanism? As said, I assume the larger is better but would like actual user opinions. Thank you.
