Hi everyone,
I’ve been applying for a lot of APS 5 and 6 roles over the past few weeks and was wondering if anyone could share their experience with how long it generally takes to hear back after submitting an application. Specifically, I’m curious about how long it might take to receive an outcome or be invited for an interview.
I know timelines can vary depending on the department and role, but any insights or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

Would there be any issue of using a variant with an array to avoid heap allocations for small objects? My daughter sometimes expresses remorse about having a sister and says that we didn't ask her about it. Reading up on parenting, I discovered that a child of a certain age is so completely dependent on their parents that they percieve them directing attention to a newly arrived baby literally as an existential threat. The severity of anxiety this causes makes me wonder whether the fact that a child cannot consent to having a sibling is a topic that has been discussed in philosophy. Cheers!

Hello
So after a blood test, the full blood count was marked with 'Abnormal make urgent appointment', with some others being marked as 'Abnormal make non-urgent appointment'
They did originally call me, but I missed the call but I have been trying to get it rescheduled
I called the GP to try and make the appointment, and was redirected to the eConsult system, I was offered a telephone appointment 12 days away to discuss my results.
I wasn't sure if it was given the correct consideration (given there are other abnormal results, but not marked urgent), and I phoned my GP again to make sure.
I was told that even though it was considered urgent, it wasn't 'life and death' and therefore I should wait 'and try to enjoy my weekend'. (I have also gone to my GP physically to ask and I have gotten the same results)
Am I being unreasonable or paranoid? (I don't want to create stress if this is normal, as it really isn't the fault of the workers, but I don't really have a gauge on the situation) If my GP isn't being reasonable, is there something I can do to advocate for my condition? TYSM

Bom dia,
Preciso de ajuda! Há cerca de 2 meses comecei a acordar picada, comecei a procurar que bicho poderia ser, até que depois de muitas noites a acordar lá encontrei um bicho no qual ao esmaga lo ficou tudo em sangue e percebi que seria percevejo. Aconteceu mais uma noite em que encontrei 3 no sofá durante a noite e depois disso nunca mais vi nenhum.
Comecei a lavar e secar tudo na máquina, a por bio kills e outros venenos, comprei armadilhas, terra n sei das quantas e até um steamer. Pus fita cola em todos os rodapés, todos os dias limpo a casa com os venenos o steamer etc fiquei no máximo 1 semana sem ser picada e volto sempre a ser. Já não sei o que fazer, já gastei muito dinheiro e nada resolve... são 2 quartos e uma sala open space...
Continuo a procurar os esconderijos mas não encontrei mais nenhum bicho, não vejo sangue nem coco em lado nenhum, mas a verdade é que eles tem de estar em algum lado, porque as picadas continuam a existir.
Visto já não saber o que fazer e estar cansada fisicamente e psicologicamente, principalmente de limpar todos os dias em vão... estou a pensar contratar uma empresa de desinfestação, tenho procurado opiniões, porque a maior parte delas não garante que fique resolvido, e eu não quero gastar 400 euros e continuar com bichos, visto que nem eu os encontro. No entanto não encontro opiniões, alguém contratou alguma empresa e que tenha ficado com a situação resolvida (Lisboa)?

For context i work in AI and have knowledge of AI Ethics and Compliance.
- Fractal - With my experience in NLP, GenAI, Python and AI in general i was able to get an offer from Fractal Analytics for Datascientist grade 8
- EY - With my experience in AI Risk, Ethics and Compliance i got an offer from EY with 20% higher CTC.
The EY job role is offering a good pay and also the job role is quite good as i feel AI risk and compliance will be a good field to get into at this point and Fractal will be a good option to have a stable life and stay in my core strength area and keep working with the latest technologies.
Would really appreciate some help from peers and seniors.
