Throughout the first half of the college season, I’ve been checking out how other teams are doing and I think we’re missing a big opportunity to work together and advance the sport in and beyond our programs.
This should also save us a lot of stress: the strength of a lot of teams fluctuates year over year because so much knowledge and support comes and goes with a few key older players / coaches.
By actually talking with to each other, we can both make our lives easier and make the next generation of quadball better.
The future of sport depends on us and our teams. There’s no reason for us to be so disjointed; we can support each other.

What’s up Chefs? A bit of a long winded post so I greatly appreciate anybody that takes the time read this and offer their opinion/insight. I run a pop up restaurant/supper club concept and wanted to get your opinions on this potential opportunity (or scam?) that I’m trying to work out the kinks for since it could lead to a ton of growth for my customer base as well as look great for my businesses track record.
So a restaurant with a big time event organizer (not someone from our industry or someone that has prior industry experience) that is based in my city and also does events in other major cities around the country reached out about connecting me w/ a restaurant that has a big name in my city as well as a following that also happens to be my target audience. I agree to collaborate when this opportunity was brought to me weeks ago. What I was originally told as far as payment goes was that the last Chef that did a pop up there was able to keep 100% of the profit from sales.
Now, one day before we were supposed to launch ticket sales, I was told that the restaurant wants to pay me a flat fee to sell my food.
Huh??
Ok this just got extremely messy very quickly in my mind. So immediately the way that I looked at it was that if I’m being paid a flat fee, then 1. The payment would have to be made sometime before the event, preferably days ahead of the event so I have proper time to shop, prep etc. 2. The event capacity will be for 75 people, I told the event organizer that it’s tough to even start to come up with a dollar amount when I don’t know how many people to cook for, he said that they sold out 100 people quickly for the last event and to cook for 75 people.
Okay, so the way that I’m going to look at this is from a catering perspective since I’m being given a flat rate for 75 people. So I told this person that the most expensive thing on the menu, that they themselves requested to have on the menu is $30. Even though I won’t have 75 portions of that menu item, I’d figure you’d want anybody to try it w/o me worry about taking a financial hit. So I’m thinking the flat fee should be $30 pp for 75. First red flag, was them saying that, that would bring my revenue out to a higher dollar amount than them and that “doesn’t make sense”…. Even though I’m the one selling food. I then say that we can take the average dollar amount of all of the entrees and go off of that (the vast majority of people aren’t coming for one single appetizer or a side). The amount comes out to $25 pp. still too high. So I’m hopping on a call with them this evening to discuss payment and I have a feeling I’m going to get low balled like hell. Does anybody have any ideas for a profitable pay structure that isn’t POS? I’m inclined to decline of pride and respect for my business if the pay isn’t good, but do y’all ever feel as though you gotta bite the bullet at times and consider what opportunities may come down the road when doing certain gigs?

2024.11.25 12:10 Euphoric_Staff2752 I'm underwhelmed by the episode... (NO SPOILERS)
I saw the full episode when somebody leaked it, and I was personally kinda disappointed by it.
It didn't feel like a finale to me, and please don't take this the wrong way as me bashing the episode or truing to be overly negative. I did enjoy it, and it's a good episode by itself, but the pacing felt rushed to me, and the episode felt like missed potential.
I personally thought that II16 and 17 were great, the emotions were felt, they hit hard, the ending of II17 shocked me. But to go from all that to II18? It was like they were building up towards something grand... which then fell flat.
I'll go into a more in depth review of why I personally disliked the episode once it comes out, but... sigh. There was just so much missed potential.

I'm 38F, diagnosed with MDD, been seeing my psychiatrist for 20 years. I've had SI since I was a teenager, and this is the worst it's ever been, not helped by the fact I have recently abruptly stopped taking my antidepressants.
Does a clients suicide affect a treating doctor? I'm finding it hard to see that it will affect him, but it does I don't want him finding out about it. If a client just stopped showing up one day, would you prefer to know what happened or remain ignorant?

Similar to previous post re Nothing Phone 1
To recreate the problem:
Start in portrait orientation with Auto-Rotate ENABLED
Physically Rotate phone 90 degrees to landscape orientation.
Application that supports landscape will turn into Landscape mode, no problem.
Swipe down to get the Quick Settings panel
Tap the Auto-rotate button to DISABLE Auto-rotate.
Screen immediately flips back into Portrait mode, even though the physical orientation hasn't changed out of landscape.
I know that I can download a widget that can force the orientation.. but I shouldn't have to use that.
What's the solution please? Or is this just a bug or feature improvement for a future release

Hi all,

I want to minimise vibrations as I am currently in an upstairs apartment.
The bike rests on four largeish hard rubber feet, about 45cm apart left to right/90cm apart front to back.
I initially bought a 1m/1m square, 40mm deep rubber vibration dampening mat.
My initial question is, should I leave the rubber mat as a 1m/1m square (meaning the feet are very close to both ends of the mat), or cut the mat in half and centre the feet on 2*1m/50cm mats. Or is science telling us it doesn't matter?
Beyond this initial quesion. I expect my neighbours to tell me if this is not enough soundproofing/dampening!
If it isn't enough I have seen various designs for drumkit risers (from the 'two platforms isolated with tennis balls' design, to other similar more expensive ones but utilising specifically designed isolating materials). Does anyone have any recommendations ffor a sound isolating platfform whose design might work well on what I imagine is fairly continual low requency vibrations, or vibrations similar to a washing machine v. one maybe more suited to a drumkit?
