Good day ladies and gents, I was wondering on what is your take on ATIS vs RM Tech? I am planning to apply coming from a civie red seal trade that is more mechanical with some instrumentation.
However I like automation and electronics too and want to get into SCADA, Cybersec, PLC programming which is why I got curious with ATIS tech. Are the postings mainly on major airbases like Trenton or Cold Lake? How high is it in demand to aux air-bases like in Comox BC or Greenwood?
2nd. for RM Tech, I can barely see any member threads on the recruiting pages. Is the Q5 still Red Seal transferable?
I know it sounds self-serving, but to be honest, I prefer to stay in if it works out as my age will not be good for job hopping... This is just for an emergency in case it takes a toll on my family. Although we are already used to moving every 5 years as we were pretty mobile when were still just a couple.... Interested in the RM Trade because I see it as more hands-on and in-line with my civie trade so barely anything will be new to me (theory-wise) besides the CAF specific equipment.

I just now found out about this tv series I grew up reading the book why would they not expand on this & listen to fans ramping up the action in season 2? this portrayal of Star Wars a refreshing look into the universe from a unique popular perspective… Sad to see them write it in a way where they toned down all the juicy details of an otherwise amazing story. If this was just written a bit better with entertainment in mind fans would have gone crazy for this show Everyone loves boba fett…. Please Disney don’t go broke wasting money 💰 on a new experimental flag ship show that will further damage the Disney brand. Do a service to the fans of Star Wars & make things right.

How does it work?
My Dynamike was at 2 stars. I got him as 4 stars via a star chest. Whoa, nice.
Then later, I got him as 3 stars. How does that work? Does some progress to leveling to 5 stars get added or the 3 stars get ignored (wasted chest basically)?
Same as today, my medic was at 3 stars and I got a 3 stars medic via the chest. I don’t notice any change on the progress to 4 stars.

Last Monday my VSO filed a 526EZ requesting an administrative review of a recent decision. It went to Step 2 the same day. I checked the Tracker this morning and it shows Houston as Temporary Jurisdiction. I don't recall seeing that change last. Is it normal for a claim to be on Step 2 and already be in TJ?

2024.11.25 13:42 xoxohysteria should i pursue a pots diagnosis

I am using a chest heart monitor not a wrist one so its more accurate. does anyone else think this is indicative of pots. i am not trying to be miss self diagnoses but i just feel like standing should not be causing this spike in heart rate. doctors here are so expensive and ive had such bad experiences with them and i just want to know other's opinion.
i get faint and lightheaded when i stand, but i havent full on fainted, not all days some are definitely worse than others, i often feel its worse after i eat or have been stressed.

I can't really handle an EQ myself, I'm more the "out of the box" user. Otherwise, handling, sound quality and battery (durability) are very important to me.
My current smartphone is the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra - as far as I know it doesn't support LHDC, but I don't know anything about it either. So I'm very grateful for any advice/opinion or similar! :) You are welcome to give alternative suggestions. However, these should not exceed the 200€ mark.

Hi, I was diagnosed OCD a few years back, I pretty much exclusively suffered with ruminations and intrusive thoughts but after a few years of therapy managed to get it under control. Lately I’ve been crazy anxious and I’ve been confused as to why, truly, but the penny dropped last night that this is likely a new OCD theme popping up. I’m finding difficult to articulate what’s going on but it’s essentially this overwhelming fear of getting in a slump again or doing anything to detriment my mental health recovery. I know this sounds positive but it’s genuinely getting a bit out of control. Getting anything under 8 hours sleep makes me panic so severely (the panic effects me significantly more than the lack of sleep), my food portions have to be absolutely perfect (fear of overeating AND fear of undereating), I’ve been avoiding friends like the plague because I’m so scared of not being able to follow my post-work routine. Basically, if my routine is not done perfectly, I will want to die, it’s gotten so bad that my period as just disappeared, I’m just constantly in a state of panic. I’ve also had a big increase in checking behaviours (locked door, oven etc). Has anyone else experienced anything like this? I’ve tried to google it but I wouldn’t even know what to google Just trying to figure out what’s going on and how to help myself because it’s just getting unbearable

I still remember the first day I stepped into school in 5th grade. And boom, that’s when I met her. She was the first friend I made here, and from the moment we started talking, I just knew there was something about her. She was the cutest thing, with this smile that made everything feel warmer. We’d skate together after school, laugh at the smallest jokes, and just enjoy being kids.
Of course, rumors started spreading. We both tried to deny them for two whole years, but let’s be honest, deep down, we both knew. We liked each other. But we were also the kind of friends who teased each other over silly things. I remember the time she beat me in science marks (just once, haha). She couldn't stop flaunting it. That was the last time she had more marks than me. After that, I was the science topper for the next few years (I'm not saying I’m proud, but... well, I am).
In 6th or 7th grade, we started spending even more time together. We’d hang out during breaks, play games, and it was like we were discovering how much we had in common. Our birthdays were just a day apart, and our lives seemed to match in so many ways. But what really got me was how cute she was, inside and out. She had this incredible personality—she was so funny, so smart, and she could sing like an angel. I played guitar, and she’d sing along, and it felt like the most perfect duo.
School trips? Oh, they were something else. We’d just wander around, holding hands, not caring about anything, laughing at dumb jokes, and feeling like we were in our own little world. I couldn’t get enough of those moments with her.
Then one day, I asked her what she wanted to do when she grew up. She said she wanted to go into the medical field. I didn’t know anything about it, but that night I went home, cracked open my biology book, and read a few chapters just because I thought it might bring us closer. That’s when I found my love for biology. I guess I should thank her for that.
In 8th grade, everything just clicked. People started noticing that there was something more than just friendship between us. They combined our names, made their little jokes, but we didn’t care. I didn’t care how she looked. To me, she was perfect. She was the girl I wanted to grow old with—not because of how she looked, but because of the way she made everything feel lighter, better.
Then came 9th grade. We went on another school trip, and this time, things felt even more real. We sat together on a long bus ride. She fell asleep on my shoulder, and I just leaned into her. My best friend snapped a picture of us, and it’s still one of my favorite memories. We spent the day laughing, goofing around, and just being... us. I bought her a little bracelet, and it felt like one of those moments you never want to end.
On December 31st, just before the New Year, I finally asked her to be my girlfriend. She said yes, and I was on top of the world. But here’s the thing: I had no idea what I was doing. I didn’t know what being a boyfriend meant, so I didn’t do much. We ended up breaking up a month later, and it hurt. I had so many gifts for her, but never got the chance to give them to her. I had to step away from everything, cut myself off from everyone, just to keep her safe. I spent 10th grade mostly alone, trying to figure out what was going on in my life.
11th grade came, and when I saw her again after two years, my heart stopped. She was still the same beautiful, cute person I remembered, but I was different now. I was focused on my own path, my own dreams. I didn’t know why she chose a different stream, and we just passed by each other like strangers.
By 12th grade, I decided to send her a friend request on social media. She accepted right away, and we started talking again. I found out everything—everything she’d been through. It was heartbreaking, but through it all, she still cared. I wanted to start over, but I was still wrapped up in my goals, my exams. She moved on, found someone else, but eventually came back to me. I was still too focused on my future, though, and we didn’t work out.
She made it to her dream college, and I struggled. I took a drop, messed up, and now I’m trying again.
And now, looking back, I realize how much she’s changed. She’s not the same girl I knew—the one with the cute laugh, the spark in her eyes, the girl who made everything feel better just by being there. But I’ll always have those memories. And I’ll always think of her as the girl who was just so cute—in every possible way.
