2024.11.25 15:12 Suitable-Salad-6680 Help for first time home renovator - white kitchen cabinet edge finishing
I'm renovating my home for the first time and my contractor has built a custom white kitchen cabinet, but the edge finishing looks done very poorly to me.
I need help from some experts as I am not sure if I am making a bigger deal out of it than it is as this whole thing is very new to me.
The kitchen cabinets are done with Formica laminate. There are big borders on each cabinet door which to me are very obvious. From afar it may not be visible if you aren't looking for it but on closer look its very obvious and aesthetically displeasing in my opinion.
He said after cleaning it up a bit (the black parts he says are glue) it will look better which I assume it will.
But the issue is why don't the edges have a smoother finish i.e. the corneedges of the door where the front/sides meet look more crisp and like it's one material wrapped around the whole door, with no border?
Is this something that can be achieved with laminate kitchen cabinet doors, has he used a poocheap technique? Has he not stuck laminate on all slides of the door? Or is this just how laminate doors are meant to be and it just looks worse because I have picked white as a color?

I have 10 blink cameras. All of them were working fine until one started recording clips for no reason. I had to turn the motion detection off to fix it. Subsequently the blink app sent me a notification saying I had an issue with motion detection on that camera and that blink would replace the camera for free. Several frustrating days later I still have an issue and 'customer service' have gone silent. Blink has the worst customer service I have ever seen. Inane questions (I guess) designed to make you give up. Then when you reply with answers they just stop talking to you. Absolutely ridiculous.

To be clear up front: I haven’t used one, but I’ve heard good things about them and had a good experience dealing with the company.
I bought myself one a few weeks back to put my bike on my camper, rather than towing a trailer. It was backordered and not scheduled until early in the new year.
During that time, I realized that I’d never use the camper unless I was racing, going for multiple days, or with family. Any of those would require more stuff than just a bike on a carrier. So I decided to keep my trailer and deal with storing it.
On a Sunday, I emailed them and asked to cancel. No explanation, just please cancel my order. First thing Monday morning, I get a response back saying no problem, they will get the refund started. Very prompt and polite, without any drama or negativity.
Here’s the kicker: I checked my email and the refund was already initiated through my credit card. The email notification came in before the email saying he’d refund. So he did the refund not just promptly, but first, before replying.
So I can’t speak to the quality of the product first hand, but I can say that if something changes, and I need a hitch carrier, these guys will be the place I go.

I used to be extremely skinny. I worked out, ate all of those foods that supposedly help with healthy weight gain, resorted to unhealthy fast food at one point and practically did everything in my power but nothing ever worked. I have known about the law for quite some time but was always so engaged in techniques and rewiring my subconscious mind that I forgot the essence of manifestation.
I would keep feeling like there is something more that I need to do or that I'm missing out on something. I then heard Neville's Barbados story and that's when it hit me 'It's already done!'
I stopped doing all of those diets and practically gagging myself with food. I started doing things that I enjoy. Instead of those crazy workouts, I started dancing whenever I felt like, started eating foods that I liked eating with the thought that I already have my ideal body and weight, I can now relax and do what makes me happy.
Now, here I am, writing my success story. Went up from 42kg to 50kg in a few months.
What I realized: You can take any actions you want in the 3d but if they're coming from the state of I don't have this thing that I really want, they'll not be fruitful, The moment you decide that I already have whatever I want and there is nothing that I need to do in order to 'get' it, it happens.
IT'S ALREADY DONE! DECIDE IT AND CLAIM IT.

Hello all,
a really silly question today I apologize, but I just can't find the answer anywhere here or generally by googling. i'm not sure what I do wrong, but I can't come up with a google serach query that gives me this answer lol.
I got a new google tv streamer and during the first setup it let me choose my receiver that plays the sound and it let me choose my "tv" which is actually an acer projector and it set it all up so that the remote of the google streamer tv can control those devices all with the one remote. works great, i'm super happy.
Now unfortunately I have to replace my acer projector, it will be a new benq model instead.
I just can't figure out how to redo this setup step so that instead of the acer projector the remoter will now control my new projector. Where can I change or reset those devices that the streamer remote controls? Am I just too blind or stupid?
