So, the original plan was to meet Nadia at a restaurant with my mom and stepdad there for support. But 30 minutes before we were supposed to leave, my dad canceled because Nadia had an anxiety attack. I totally get it—having anxiety myself, I know how overwhelming it can be. But what stung was remembering how my dad dismissed my anxiety for years, acting like it wasn’t real or was just attention-seeking. Now, seeing him try to understand it for her... it’s a mix of frustration and sadness. Anyway, we rescheduled, and I ended up going to his house alone.
The Meeting: When I arrived, I awkwardly stood in the doorway. Nadia came out wearing a short, tight pink dress, which surprised me—it’s not what I expected for a casual first meeting. Her young son was running around the house in pajamas the whole time. She gave me a hug and was really nice, but it was painfully awkward. She doesn’t speak any English, so we couldn’t really communicate. My dad tried to fill in the gaps, but there were a lot of moments where I just didn’t know what to say or do, and my dad had to pull out Google translate. What really threw me off, though, was that Nadia is so similar to me in build, height, and body type. It was bizarre, like looking at a version of myself from another life. It made the age gap feel even more uncomfortable, and I can’t fully explain why. The whole experience was so overwhelming that I only stayed for about 5-10 minutes before I left. The awkwardness, combined with my heart pounding in my chest the entire time, was just too much for me to handle.
My Thoughts Now: I’m still processing the whole thing. Nadia seems kind, and I don’t think she has bad intentions, but the situation feels surreal. Seeing my dad in this new dynamic—one that’s so different from the dad I grew up with—is a lot to wrap my head around. I’m trying to be understanding, especially since I know this relationship makes him happy. But I can’t ignore the unresolved feelings about how my own needs were dismissed growing up, only for him to now be so empathetic toward her. It’s not her fault, but it’s hard not to feel hurt.
Would I Be the Ahole?** I’m at a point where I’m seriously questioning whether I should continue seeing my dad, especially if Nadia is involved. It’s not just the awkwardness of her being there—it’s also the lingering hurt from my dad’s lack of support for me in the past and the weirdness of this whole situation. I’m torn because I want to have a relationship with him, but I don’t know if it’s worth the emotional toll it’s taking. Would I be the a**hole if I decided to step back and stop seeing my dad, especially if it means avoiding her altogether? I’d love to hear any thoughts or advice on how to navigate this or whether taking a break could help me gain clarity.

 | Hi guys, My driving test is very soon and i was with my dad turning left at this junction, which goes onto an A road. I was waiting at the front in the left lane (the other lane goes right) and the light in front of me turned green but the filter light did not. The oncoming traffic to the right was on a red light (I think). The cars behind me beeped me and then overtook me. Then when the filter light came on, I went for it. My dad’s an experienced driver and even he was confused. As my test is in a few days - who was in the right? Should you play safe and wait for the filter light, or could I have gone on a regular green light? Hey guys, I’m planning to buy a gimbal (mostly for mobile shooting) and Ive got my eyes on the Hohem MT2 model.
In future I’ll be shooting with cameras in the meantime by renting them. Since I’m a student and dont have much experience with cameras Im worried about this model’s payload (1.2kg/2.6lbs) .
So for a gimbal with 1.2kg/2.6lbs payload what kind of camera and lens that I can go for? I watched so many vids but no datas regarding the models that i could use with this payload.

Hello I'm a new lawyer. I've been chasing down jobs for a few months and have two options in front of me now.
One is with a company I've worked with before. It's a little toxic. The company a very messy because of management but they tend to blame the workers when stuff goes bad. This concerns me as I’m new to law and don’t have a full grasp of right and wrong when it comes to “gray areas” yet where this company lives a lot of the time and I would be the only licensed attorney there. Turn over the last few years has been extremely high. However they are offering me a new position with a 130k a year salary and no billable hour requirement.
On the other hand I had a job interview Friday for a smaller law firm. Everyone seems extremely nice and it's walking distance from me. Because it's smaller I believe I will have the opportunity to get more hands on experience. However it's litigation(family and RE) and although I don't have a number yet but I believe salary will be around 80k.
I'm not sure what's best to do. I don't want to be miserable at work every day but 130k right out of school with my loans seems hard to pass up but I don’t want to ruin my reputation in the process.
