Assuming taxes have been filed for previous years. TLDR at end.
Title basically. It’s honestly embarrassing, I picked up a vape in 7th grade because I wanted to blow smoke in the air and look cool. I graduated last year and I haven’t put it down yet.
My grandmother had nearly fatal lung cancer from smoking her whole life, and during that same time frame my mom found out I was vaping. She wasn’t mad or surprised, more so just disappointed and hurt. I think that’s the worst part. Her mother was dying and she found out her child was going to have the same fate.
I tried cold turkey, not for me. I have a few mental illnesses which makes it harder for me, along with the addiction gene. I became a total raging bitch when I went cold turkey, lasted about a week before I felt so miserable about myself I picked it up again.
I used to only use menthol pods, couldn’t touch anything flavored without getting extremely nauseous, so I decided to get a strongly flavored vape. Thought it would let me cut down on using it because I found them so disgusting. It’s been 6 months and woohoo what do you know, I love the flavor and can’t do menthol anymore without being nauseated.
Tried nicotine patches about 2 months ago, they helped the best so far but still wasn’t enough. I also ended up dealing with a very stressful situation during that time so picked up the vape again.
I quit smoking weed cold turkey about 6 months ago and it sucked, but nothing near as bad or as hard as this.
Basically, I just don’t know what to do or how else to go about this. I feel pathetic and embarrassed that first of all, I rely on a little box of chemicals, and second of all, that my I can’t get rid of the thing that nearly killed off my favorite person. It’s almost like that’s not enough motivation, and it just feels so bad.
Another issue I have, every single one of my friends and my boyfriend’s friends vapes or smokes, which makes it harder. I could ask that they don’t do it around me, but at the end of the day that’s ridiculous because I’m with them more than I’m alone. My sister does as well, so when I’m home I can’t get away from it either.
Work helps some because I’m working retail right now and can’t touch it unless I’m on break and run to the bathroom, so that helps me for about 6-8 hours a day, but the second I’m off it’s all I want.
I need help. Does anyone have any ideas? What helped you? What else can I try, and how can I motivate myself more to get rid of this stupid thing that’s going to kill me?
TLDR- I want to quit vaping but nothing I’ve tried has worked. It nearly killed my grandmother and that’s still not enough motivation to stop. What can I do ?

So I’m 26, had a period since I was 13 or so and it’s always been pretty consistent in the last few years or so, I’d say every 29/30 days although it can differ ever so slightly by month. However… I am now 7 days late, never been this late before, no triggers? Doesn’t even look like I’ll come on soon (no sore breasts etc) no idea what’s going on? Has anyone experienced this? And no, there is 100% no chance I am pregnant.

Sou formada em pedagogia em uma boa universidade estadual e tenho experiência de 4 anos como professora concursada na educação infantil. Meu noivo tem certificações valorizadas no mercado internacional e está se aplicando para vagas no exterior (nenhum país específico por enquanto, mas seria EUA ou Europa), então iríamos para o país onde ele recebesse uma boa proposta e viveríamos com a renda dele até eu começar a trabalhar. Eu não tenho fluência no inglês ainda, estou aprendendo e sei me comunicar no básico necessário para as viagens internacionais que já fizemos, mas estou estudando para melhorar isso. A minha dúvida é: Vale a pena ser professora de educação infantil? Se sim, o que geralmente é exigido? Teria a validação do meu diploma é claro, mas uma pós? Ou um mestrado? Alguma área específica que esteja em falta? Qual em média o salário? Da pra viver com ele ou é baixo?
Se não vale a pena, vocês saberiam indicar alguma outra área que vale a pena com a minha graduação (mesmo que seja necessário algum estudo adicional ou certificação para atuar na área).
Ele está tirando a cidadania italiana, então em 2/3 anos no máximo já teria em mãos. Como cônjuge eu poderia trabalhar e teria a cidadania também em 3 anos ou 1.8m se nesse período tivermos um filho.

Sabem quando as memórias se tornam espirituais? Quando lembranças da infância retornam, principalmente em sonhos, de forma muito etérea e transcendente, como se simbolizassem algo mais além do visível, que acabamos deixando passar, ou houvesse algo maior enraizado naquele tempo que foi perdido?
Uma "saudade do eterno", uma nostalgia de uma vida que precedeu a nossa, mas que não conseguimos nos lembrar. Penso muito nisso, e ao mesmo tempo que me fascina, me incomoda. Sei que talvez possa ser apenas reflexo mental de um tempo onde a vida era mais misteriosa e inocente, e com o passar dos anos e com a estrutura cerebral da vida adulta isto acaba se perdendo e fazendo falta. Mas não acho que seja apenas isto.
Alguém poderia me dar respaldos da filosofia, psicologia e até religiosos que abordem essa questão? O que o nosso inconsciente ou subconsciente tem a ver com isso, no que diz respeito ao sentimento dos sonhos e das memórias de fazer parecer ser mais do que realmente foi?
