2024.11.25 14:50 unpositve apparently, chronic tinnitus is abnormal
i have had tinnitus from as long as i can remember, problem even before i started i think. And just like you don't question why a rectangle looks like a rectangle, I never questioned; I thought tinnitus is normal part of being able to hear.
It has never really bothered me though. The fact that people don't have constant ringing sound going on in the ear throughout their life is strange to me. The only it genuinely scared me was when I woke in the middle of night one day and their was another patterned ringing along with the normal tinnitus going on in my left ear.

Esta persona en cuestion vive en Mendoza (solia ser mi vecina en el departamento de Godoy Cruz, quizas que actualmente estén en otro lado). Estoy seguro que podrian encontrar su Facebook si se toman el tiempo. Su nombre era Jackelina o Jacquelina (no recuerdo su apellido, por eso ando buscando ayuda) y tenia un hijo llamado Emmanuel, con quien nos hicimos amigos por alla del 2010. Recientemente encontré una foto con él y unos amigos celebrando mi cumple y queria contactarla para hablarle a este chico en cuestion y enviarsela. Las unicas ayudas que puedo darles es que, segun lo que yo recuerdo, ella solia publicar frases y videos motivacionales, imagenes de Yackie Chan y algun que otro post religioso (era muy cristiana). En cuanto a su fisico, tenia un pelo algo frondoso, alguna que otra peca en la cara, y ya debe estar en sus 50. Si alguien encuentra su perfil preferiria que me lo comuniquen por privado para intentar llevar la busqueda de la manera mas discreta, evidentemente para no molestarla.

2024.11.25 14:50 Mangalorien What's the maximum useful crafting rate for a rocket silo?
The Factorio wiki has an article about rocket silo crafting speed, but it's only for the vanilla rocket silo.
I'm thinking somebody has already done the math for Space Age rocket silos, so would be interesting to hear the results. My preliminary testing tells me that you don't really need legendary rocket silos, just a rare rocket silo with speed moduled beacons is enough, since you end up waiting for the launch animation anyway.

Actually, sometimes they do work, sometimes they don't, and I'm not sure why. But it's always infuriating when they don't work because I can still do pretty much every other shortcut. My left ctrl key used to not work at all for almost a year I thought it was done for. Turns out I somehow accidentally turned it off and it was functional again after I pressed ctrl + fn +windows at the same time. But now it doesn't work BUT undo and redo works with fn key instead

2024.11.25 14:50 bdog1011 Can I change LED bulbs in rear tail light assembly?
So did clashed reversed and break the taillight cover. I ordered a new one here:

it is the tail light cover and bulb holder. But no bulbs. the LEDs are still working so I presumed I can just swap them in and out. But I can't find any video showing anyone changing the LEDs. Only ones changing the indicator bulb. Or swapping out the entire assembly. I want to take the LEDs out of the old broken assembly and put into the new assembly I am slow to start the job myself without a video as I am concerned I will get into trouble I will have no working tail light. and will need to wait a while for a full assemble to come. It is also strange I was able to buy a new assembly without bulbs if they can't be swapped.
Is what I want to do possible? Is it more complex than a screwdriver and pluck and swap job?

Just a thought I wanted to share, and I’d love to hear other perspectives.
If the "thesis" is correct that MicroStrategy (MSTR) is effectively arbitraging the fixed-income market by offering upside exposure to BTC through zero-coupon convertible bonds, here’s how it seems to work:
- The value of these bonds comes primarily from the conversion option, which is valuable due to BTC's historical and implied volatility (à la Black-Scholes, etc.).
- Investors find these bonds appealing because they offer asymmetric upside tied to BTC while still providing the relative safety of bond-like characteristics.
But this got me wondering: Why don’t BTC miners like Hut8 try to tap into this liquidity?
- While Hut8 might not fetch the same premium as MSTR, it could still appeal to bond buyers looking for diversification.
- Such a bond could act as a BTC proxy with added exposure to mining—a kind of hybrid play.
- Could this be a strategic move for Hut8 to fund growth and attract new capital?
- A bigger player with better scalability might leverage relatively cheaper financing to acquire smaller players like Hut8.
- By achieving greater economies of scale, they could issue larger convertible bonds and potentially follow MSTR’s playbook more effectively.
- If miners like Hut8 or MARA pursue such a strategy, does it create an asymmetric risk/reward profile for holding their stock?
- Would these convertible bonds enable miners to scale operations and accumulate more BTC, indirectly boosting their equity value?
- Could M&A activity (e.g., MARA acquiring Hut8) amplify these dynamics by combining operational synergies with creative financing strategies?
What do you think? Are there reasons miners haven’t tried this yet, or is it just a matter of time?
