BF and I have been together for about 2 years. When we first met, he thought it was the hottest thing that I could go out to a bar and typically have a guy offer to buy me a drink. It’s not an every time thing, but even I’m surprised at my ability to go sit at a bar and have someone buy me a drink. It’s typically when I’m sitting down for dinner or happy hour and someone strikes up a conversation with me.
He started wanting to “make a game” of it when we’d go out, but it makes me uncomfortable because 1. I’m out with him and so I want to spend time with him, not waiting by myself to have someone hopefully buy me a drink. 2. It feels desperate. I’m essentially hoping someone will buy me a drink as I stand looking like a damsel in distress. 3. A few times, it has led to men getting grabby and making me uncomfortable. All of these discomforts have been communicated to him. He still contends that it’s a huge turn on and requests that I do it when we go out.
I’m adding this last story that really causes me the most hesitation. My bf can be jealous. We’ve had at least a handful of times when he’s gotten upset and been aggressive with a guy for talking to me while we’re out. One such occasion happened when we had just started dating and were playing this “game”. The guy had bought me a drink and was continuing to talk and my bf came over irate and asked if I was trying to leave with the guy, then told me I needed to leave immediately and not speak to the guy again.
AIO to hating this “game”? I’ve communicated my discomforts, yet it still comes up.

VLSI Career Advice
I am 2024 ECE graduate planning to secure the good career in Design Verification domain of VLSI. I got the Intern (8 months)+ Performance Based Conversion offer in Design Verification Domain in startups which is located in Bangalore.I joined during my last semester (i.e) December 2023. During my intern period I learnt the Computer Architecture and System Verilog language and UVM. I also gone through AMBA protocols and created the UVM based testbench for those.
Now 11 months of intern period is completed but they not converted me for the Full time and asking me to wait for some months and they said that once I get the project then they convert to Full time role.
Since 3 months extra intern period is so completed so what I can do now whether to stay in the company due to domain satisfaction irrespective of salary or moving out and searching for new jobs ?
Also In case of second option what is the possibility that I get the job based on today's job market condition?
Please guide me so that it would be helpful for my future and I never forget your value advice.Thanks in Advance .

It seems when I was playing baseball 25 years ago, body building was not a primary consideration. Now the HS kids are in the weight room every day.
I know they are using supplements and I try to have the conversation about being smart and not following the crowd. But my boys have convinced me that creatine is safe. Not sure if it is or isn't, those of you who work with HS ball players are there supplements that you recommend? Recommend against?

2024.11.25 16:50 jensfisc Ideal Battery Wiring and Operation for Dual Motors
I have a 22' Glacier Bay catamaran, with dual Yamaha 2004 115s and dual lead acid batteries. The entire wiring on the boat is a mess (but functional) and I am going to seriously clean it up this winter. My current wiring setup is both batteries are wired to a 1/2/Both/Off switch, with some obvious necessities bypassing the switch (trim/tilt, etc). I am using the boat mostly for scuba diving in southern California (frequently at the channel islands), but occasionally fish with a livewell running.
Question 1: My operating pattern is to start the boat with both and leave it on both until we are anchored at the first spot and the motors are shut off. I then switch to 1 or 2 and leave it there for the rest of the day holding the other battery as backup while offshore. Is there anything wrong with this pattern? I feel like both should charge the batteries evenly from the alternators but there are some crazy opinions on this topic.
Question 2: A neighbor with a slightly larger dual motor setup suggests a third battery with a much more complex wiring pattern where motors could be isolated and the third 'house' battery could boost, or be charged from either side. Is this a good idea? Overkill? I don't use a ton of juice while anchored but generally leave the electronics running if we are only going to sit there for 1-2 dives (3ish hrs).
Question 3: re Lithium batteries and older Yamaha outboards. If I switched to Lithium I could add a 3rd battery and reduce overall weight but have heard they don't 'play nice' with the Yamahas. I understand the lithiums have protection circuits that can cut power and that might cause issues with the outboards but I don't really see the difference between that and yanking the kill cord out. Will the 'dumb' alternators on the Yamas trip this circuit frequently? I am obviously well outside of warranty so do not care about voiding. Are there other real world issues with lithiums?

 | I honestly love The Last Knight Leader Megs. It's my favorite Megatron design since Animated, and his large size adds presence to the shelf. His articulation is somewhat decent, but his transformation is honestly a bit fiddlely, but I think he's fantastic! I think the main criticism during the initial release were the QC issues. I got my copy a few years after the mobie came out, and I haven't had any major issues, aside from the battle mask occasionally not fully closing in. And then there's Titans Return Powermaster Optimus Prime. I love the aesthetic and I have a soft spot for it. I saw at Walmart and thought he looked, and that resparked my interest in Transformers and got me back into collecting figures. I’m 27F, turning 28 in 2 weeks and I’m feeling really discouraged with life. A little background, I currently work a 9-5 office job for a car dealership, which I really enjoy but I feel like I need to do something more. I finished high school & unfortunately didn’t get to fully commit to a college education from the loss of a parent. I had to quickly pick between school or working full time. I was 18 at the time. I’ve struggled with my mental health for a long period of my life from CSA, my parent passing away and then the pandemic hitting, and a big fall out with the remainder of my small family I’ve felt like I’ve lost so much in such a short period of my life already.
My current life isn’t terrible. I’ve grown a lot through therapy over the years and I started working out to help my mental health & also physical health since many heart related problems run in my family history. My partner & I currently have our own house that we purchased 2 years ago, renovating it and enjoying it. Even though there’s been a lot of obstacles with that entire process itself.
Fitness has become a really good tool for me the last few years because I’ve built such confidence in myself. I’ve always had a strong inkling of wanting to help people, but there’s so many fields out there to help people. But I believe I’ve narrowed it down to wanting to help people with their physical health. I’ve dabbled with the thought of becoming a personal trainer but I fear that I may not make it because I need to still put my current job 9-5 job first.
Any advice from anyone who’s ever felt this way before? I’m not necessarily looking for the perfect answer just want to know if I’m the only one out there that feels this way ….
