I'm 36 MTF, I started HRT a little over a year ago on my 35th birthday, at 6'2" around 190-200lb. I started at a low dose of 1mg Estradiol and 25mg Spiro and gradually moved up to 4mg Estradiol and 200mg Spiro. I did all of this while "guy moding". An abridged timeline so far would be: I know I'm really late, but I would like to share my opinions on HRT. My first, and currently only, plate carrier is an HRT HRAC, their budget carrier! I find that it's very comfortable, and I love the quick release cummerbund they offer, these go together so well. I would love an LBAC, honestly. Before starting HRT I heard a number of people try to describe emotional changes that happened to them. Most often I saw this being referred to as "Running on the right fuel". I personally disliked that description because I couldn't really understand what it meant and so took a bunch of notes from before in case that happened to me and really tried to document the emotional changes to try to ... With HRT the answer here is always YMMV. HRT will cause fat distribution including in the face. HRT will also effect your skin. It can have some effect on your eyes My results at 14 months HRT are quite nice. The fat that redistributed into my face has made my face more of a round shape. My skin has changed and is much softer. My eyes are more ... not exactly harder to get erect, but it’s significantly less, and I usually have to want to get erect, unlike before hrt. the atrophy thing isn’t very clear, but I will say that they asked if I wanted a prescription for Viagra at the same appointment I was prescribed hrt. I had a partner that was 2 years into hrt and she couldn’t keep it up. After all that stuff was when payment happened. I didn't have insurance so I paid out of pocket which came to about $120 for the appointment. This amount also covered the blood work I would have later. Each appointment I've had so far had been that amount. My hrt costs about $30 a month but I'm on feminizing hrt which is cheaper than ... 7 months on HRT -and progesterone at night. Within a few weeks it halted my night sweats and hot flashes. Which was the worst and the reason I finally gave into HRT!! It gave me better sleep. My brain fog is not as bad and my moodiness has dissipated from being nearly depressed to having good days and bad. I feel like it gave me my energy back. I present androgynous/masculine and for a year now have been thinking about taking HRT (testosterone) for weight redistribution and vocal change purposes. I'm aware of the heavy-handed legislature in Japan around changing gender markers for trans folks (have to undergo sterilization surgery to change one's gender marker), but I haven't heard anything about what it's like to get HRT in Japan. I've been on HRT for about 18 months now, and I feel like the *good* version of myself again. I'm much calmer, more reasonable and I'm just generally a happier, more positive person. People blame Pintus and luck, but how many more injuries are we going to suffer, because Ancelotti refuses to protect his most important players, even when we're 3-0 up?
- Vini got a muscle injury after playing 90 minutes every game, including the international break (+travelling). Despite the comfortable lead, only 3 subs were made yesterday.
- Rodrygo suffered a muscle (hamstring) injury in the last 5 minutes of the Dortmund game. Only one sub had been made until that point.
- Carvajal tore his ACL in the last minute of the Villareal game. We were comfortably winning 2-0, yet Ancelotti had made only 3 subs, one of which was due to another injury (Vini).
While many might argue that injuries can happen anytime, even in training or during summer friendlies, there's enough evidence that overplayed players tend to be more vulnerable, because they're exhausted. I'm seriously scared for players like Rudiger and Valverde, because I don't see those guys getting rest anytime soon.
I don't understand why Ancelotti rarely uses his 5 subs and barely rotates. Yes, we have issues with the squad (lack of CBs most notably), but it's not like a bench/academy player will score 3 own goals if he plays for 10-15 minutes. See how good Asencio has been for us in the last couple of games? Or rotational players like Arda, Fran and Ceballos? With the extra number of games, other teams and managers seem to want bigger and bigger squads, to deal with the problem. Meanwhile we have a small squad, barely trust our bench and never trust our academy players. And no, you don't need billions to build a huge squad and rotate, like City or Chelsea do. Teams like Dortmund, Juventus, Barcelona etc. rely on their academies. Teams like Inter sign a lot of free players. There are solutions, I wish Ancelotti (and Perez) could see them.

First off I just wanna say thank you all for generating that initial post on telescope purchasing. That was a super helpful and informative starting point!
TLDR; seeking advice on purchasing a telescope for family stargazing. Interested in a computerized SCT, specifically the Nexstar Evolution 9.25", but am concerned about the cost and potential lack of interest from their young children. Also considering Astro photography as a future possibility. main questions are: * Should I start with a more affordable 6SE to test the waters or invest in the higher-end Evolution series? * Is the newer app-based technology worth the extra cost? * looking for advice on balancing cost, features, and potential use cases.
I am new to telescopes so I should probably introduce myself before anything. I tend to be long winded so I apologize for that. I can’t help it. I used to be really interested in astronomy when I was a teen and had a few different small telescopes that I would use to go out at night and peer up at the great unknown. At some point, life happened and I got away from astronomy, but for good reasons like family and careers. Now that the dust has settled and my partner and I have started growing our little family, we would like to get back to stargazing. We think it’d be a great activity for the entire family and would thread nicely with camping, which is something else we like to do.
All that being said… I’ve been reading, searching for, and obsessing over computerized SCT‘s. My journey started when I was looking at the six Nexstar 6SE’s as a good entry point which led me to the 8SE’s, then the Evolution series and finally the Nexstar evolution 9.25” SCT.
My kids are pretty young. I think I have only a few opportunities to get this right and make this work for all of us. If it’s too troublesome, and the kids are fussy or disinterested it could just all fall flat. I’m OK with them not being interested in at astronomy at this point but I don’t want this to be an exercise in futility for everyone involved. Time is always an issue. I want us to be able to go out. Get set up. Do some serious gazing and get packed up at home in time for a reasonable bedtime, hence the computerized telescopes.
Since there’s always a possibility that the kids are just completely disinterested in this I also wanted to entertain the idea of doing some Astro photography, which is why I ended up looking at some of the more expensive CST’s (yes I know you can spend $10,000 on scopes I mean amateur consumer market CST’s).
So I guess my question is… Should I even be looking at the more expensive evolution series at this point or should we just be easing into this with a 6SE to get a feel for the logistics of what this will be like? I just don’t want to invest in a dated technology, if the markets moving towards these enabled app based models.
So anyway, nice to meet all of you and thank you for suffering. My unnecessarily long post. I appreciate any opinions that you feel like sharing.

It’s understood that taking in more animals than you can handle is a terrible idea, and I’ve never heard of anyone being pressured to get a pet (unless that pressure is coming from your child lol). I love visiting big families, and coming home to my little one. Whenever the topic comes up, people tend to dismiss any logical reasons why I don’t currently have plans to get pregnant again (financial, time, energy, health). It makes me wonder why it’s socially acceptable to be intentional about the number of pets (don’t get me started on how my dog has more reproductive rights in my state than I do) but with kids I’m being encouraged to throw caution to the wind.
