2024.11.25 15:15 ChallengeMammoth1813 My bestie is behaving weirdly because of her boyfriend
Me and my best friend have been besties since elementary school since we were six (now I'm 21 and she's 22) we have always been inseparable, we've been through the major events of life together, we consider each other sisters (we know each other's siblings well, my mom loves her etc..) we come from very different cultural backgrounds (she's Pakistani and I'm Italian) but it's never been a problem between us.
- She recently got into a relationship (a distance relationship with a guy living in Dubai) he's nice and treats her well (or at least I think so because I can't understand or speak with him because of the language barrier but I think he's nice because he makes her laugh a lot)
- The point is that she's stunning, she's always been very beautiful and she's also kind and funny while I'm uhm.. ugly and very introvert, she was talking the other day about her boyfriend how he makes her happy and I was like I'm very happy for you, then she drops the bomb saying that I could get a boyfriend too if I really wanted.
She doesn't understand that she's hurting me saying those words, do you think she really believes that or she's just low-key making fun of me?
- another thing I want to say is that:
- another thing is that me and my bestie have always had the dream of traveling together, we were just waiting to grow up, graduate and both have a job to finance our travels (my dream has always been a vacation to Cuba that I always wanted to see and we both wanted to go) but now she seems to want to include her future husband (they are Muslims so they are already planning marriage) in all our travels (like she wants to travel the world her, me, and her husband) and this left me heartbroken like she was ruining our dream including another person. I tried to explain that NO ABSOLUTE WAY I was going to travel around with her and her husband (I was maybe a little harsh on this but I wanted her to understand that this would never happen) because I didn't want to be the third wheel and because it wasn't like that that I always imagined our travels, this time she was the one heartbroken and she kept telling me why I didn't want to include her future husband. Since she kept asking me why I didn't want him to come too I got annoyed and told her that she should just go with her husband without me and have a vacation for couples or something like that, I believe she thought that I was kinda "breaking our promise of travelling together" and we got into a mini argument.
I want to add that:
- My beastie has a huge problem with her mother, their relationship has always been very terrible and all comes from the fact that her mother is a very extreme Muslim traditionalist (like really extreme to the point that she thinks that music is a sin) and my bestie wants to be free and live like a westerner.
- since her relationship with this Dubai guy has been found out from her family she's literally living in a hell in Earth with her family, she's constantly being yelled at by her mother and she already has plans to move out with her brother (I'm sure this will make her mom crazy angry and something big is gonna happen and I'm kinda scared for her).
- Listen to me while I tell you this because It's a huge point: my bestie met this guy through one of our old common friends, this guy is Pakistani like her and currently living in Dubai, he's a criminal and he legally can't come to Europe right now he has to wait like 2/3 years because he's been expelled for doing crime shit (we live in Italy). The point is SHE NEVER MET THIS GUY IN PERSON, they video call constantly and are like always taking, but it's crazy to me that they are already planning marriage WITHOUT EVEN HAVING MET IN PERSON!!! I try to make her think and be rational l tell her, "what if you two met in person and the spark doesn't fly!?" She answers me it's impossible.
She's ready to ruin her life and relationship with her family, give up on her education for someone she never met in person, for me something like this is CRAZY!! CRAZY!
- She's always been the best in her course in high school and even now in uni she's doing good, she always got top marks, she's intelligent, smart and very very reasonable, I don't know what he did to her it's like HE TURNED HER STUPID, sometimes I struggle to recognize my bestie, he made her irrational and so dumb sometimes (like I heard her meow to him on the phone and sorry to say it but I found it kinda disgusting).
- maybe in this I'm limited but even if I try until my head hurts I don't understand how she could fall in love with someone she never met, to help you understand I had multiple crushes growing up, she was NEVER, NEVER once interested in boys. She loved talking about this historical crush of mine and joke but she was never interested in anyone until this Dubai guy.
- my bestie is gorgeous, Muslim guys constantly hit on her but she never cared, why is this guy so special?, this may be superficial but she's a ten and he's SO FUCKING UGLY (I'm sorry but it's to make you understand he's really, really ugly), he's not even open minded, he talks like a traditional Muslim, once he even got mad because me and my bestie have this hot professor that we like in uni, we told him and he got angry with my bestie and began telling us that this was not morally good, that gossiping was bad that we should only concentrate on our studies etc...
- I just don't want this guy to play with her feelings because she doesn't deserve it, I worry a lot, I worry hugely for her because of this situation, I'm scared of what her family would do to her once they realize that she intends to move out.

The world is ravaged by cycles of calamity (demise) and order.
The world is ruined by civil war between hyrulean factions and the influence of demise.
Hyrule has collapsed, demise holding influence over the entire region, Zelda being imprisoned and disembodied.
Due to gloom, cretaures of the lands are beginning to lose sense of self.
The amnesiac Link is awakened by the Zelda to restore Zelda and Hyrule.
There are only 5 civilians with the other friendly npcs being warriors and wanderers. Npcs end in tradegy with some succumbing to gloom.
The enemies not only include ganondorf's monsters but also gloom affected zoras, gorons, hylians and gerudo.
Whether gloom is something natural in the hearts of hyruleans the deities ssealed or merely a corruption from demise is questioned.
Zelda is genuinely benevolent but this is placed into question by the various enemies and npcs
After defeating ganondorf in the base game, players have a choice whether to restore Zelda and Hyrule (canon ending) or suceed ganondorf as a vessel for demise's hatred (bad ending). There are also like 4 other endings which can be achieved depending on interactions with npcs.
The dlc can involve the twilight realm, lorule, Zonai or whatnot and allow for dialogue changes in npcs, but without impact on the base game.

I see a lot of people talk about it making no sense she buys Shawn’s act. Especially with how popular the head canon is that everybody really knows it’s a stictk and just goes along with it cause Shawn’s a useful asset.
This came up again in a recent thread here.
I disagree with this critique. Sure the Chief doesn’t buy it and Lassie doesn’t. But it’s not a wink wink nudge nudge thing.
Lots of people do buy it.
And it’s important both for the business and the department that people buy it.
This is a spiritual belief guys.
Whatever the Chief does or doesn’t think she’s not advertising. That doesn’t help her at all. If McNab represents the working file best cop. Much of the department believes in Shawn. At least a sizable minority.
Juliet’s dad is/was a conman. And despite this she is a Romantic who thinks with her heart a lot to steal another comments phrase.
Who is she to question a spiritual belief??
She is not like Lassie who despises Shawn’s antics (initially) and psychic stuff on principal.
Neither is she the Chief with knowledge of Shawn’s history.
She is a transfer from Miami.
And Shawn is a goofball but not a known chronic liar or conman.
He spends seasons/years really seriously saying these are his spiritual beliefs.
Juliet has no reason not to take him at his words.
She totally gets some of the antics are Shawn’s childishness.
She knows Shawn after all.
But there is a difference between a cynical self aware priest whose still a devout believer.
And a conman who doesn’t believe anything he claims he does.

Hello,
I currently have a test scenario where I have 2 domains. I want to connect them with a one way trust. Both domain controllers are hardened according to CIS L1. Unfortunately it is not possible for me to create a domain trust in this scenario. I was also able to find the failure policy: (L1) Ensure 'Network security: Restrict NTLM: Outgoing NTLM traffic to remote servers' is set to 'Audit all' or higher
As soon as I set the GPO to “Deny all” it is not possible to create a trust. I got a RPC error. The event log shows the following: NTLM client blocked: Outgoing NTLM authentication traffic to remote servers that is blocked. Target server: cifs/dc02.corporate.local. If I set the policy to “Audit all”, its working to create a trust. The servers are all in the same test network and only the Windows firewall could interfere. I have already switched this off and it was still not possible to establish a trust. Does anyone here have any ideas?
