My partner is trying to get her riot account back and honestly no matter how much information we presented (transaction ID's, receipts, stuff on the account) it looks like they aren't going to work with us.
I do feel it's her fault because she let it get stolen (somehow?) years ago and then waited years to do anything about it. and after getting it successfully recovered in 2021 it was stolen yet again that same year and she hasn't done anything about it now?
How is it that even with presented purchase transaction IDs and knowledge of whats on the account they still hinge on information like "what was your first RP purchase?" We have literally presented a time and transactional stamp of the purchase of the RP itself!
Another concern is that after she recovered it how in the hell did someone get back in without knowing her new information (they changed the account name after first recovery no way for them to know unless they knew her) and then even remove her email from the account without any confirmation emails being sent?
Kind of worried that because she took so damn long someone has settled in nicely and has their own history of purchases that now conflict? IDK if i should believe her memory but she said apparently the account region may have been transferred the first time it was stolen.
I'm gonna keep trying but her memory is honestly not great (understatement) and she's already forgotten what we ate for dinner 2 nights ago.
She is unable to remember her first RP purchase or friends and their gifts back and forth. This I kinda understand because it was done LONG before this new riot account system. These are people she no longer knew or even may have had their summoner namess changed with the new system that released eventually.
Anyways I'd appreciate any sentiment, wisdom or even lecturing for letting it get to this.

Perplexed, I turned to face him, noting that he was merely an Early Stage Golden Core junior, while I was at the Peak of Mid Stage Nascent Soul. Naturally, I inquired what the issue was. What followed was the standard YM nonsense: accusations of being a "toad lusting after swan meat," demands that I kneel and cripple my cultivation, and a declaration of his identity as the son of the Heaven-Defying Palm Sects sect Head.
I confess, my patience wore thin. In the interest of teaching him a lesson about respecting his seniors, I beat him up and claimed his treasure. A fair transaction, no?
Alas, fate is cruel. Some time later, while cultivating in a remote cave, his father-an Early Stage Soul Transformation expert-arrived. Without giving me a chance to explain, he proceeded to beat me senseless, crippling my cultivation completely and turning me into a toad.
For a millennium, I endured humiliation, hardship, and mockery. My oath of vengeance became the fuel for my ascent. After countless trials, tribulations, and millions of deaths (regrettable collateral damage, of course), I clawed my way back to power, ascending to the Half-Immortal stage. The time for retribution had arrived. I obliterated the Heaven-Defying Palm Sect, eradicating their bloodline to the ninth generation-BUT I left their dogs and chickens alive. I am not without mercy.
However, I confess, I indulged myself further. Using a mystic Yin Transformation Technique, I turned the father into a Jade Beauty and the son into a Heaven-Bound Immortal Sheath (a poetic name for what you might call a condom). I... used them as tools to wash away the humiliation they had inflicted upon me, and afterward, I freed their souls from mortal flesh, imprisoning them in my Nine-Circle Hell Lamp for eternity.
Now, as a venerable cultivator, I strive to remain righteous and despise the demonic ways. But sometimes I wonder-did I take it too far?

Hi!! I'm flying with my cat for the first time next month, and I'm having some trouble finding a pet carrier that fits the dimensions they gave me (41Lx21Wx28H). The closest I can find is 41x26x24, although it is soft sided. I'm leaving through Pearson in Toronto, if that has any effect on how strict they'll be. I've been using StandBy for a while. The last few months however (so pre-iOS 18) the "automatically turn off display" function has stopped working. It seems to stay on ALL NIGHT, unless I press the power button to turn off the screen. I like to use my phone as an alarm clock so it's need to see the time if I wake up to use the washroom/check on the kids in the middle of the night, but I like it to turn off when I get back in bed, as it used to.
My wife, on the other side of the bed, doesn't seem to have the same issues I have, and we have the same phone/OS version installed.
If anyone has any ideas, I'm willing to listen! I've tried the following so far:
- hard reset
- turning off the function, then turning it back on
- turning the phone so it faces another direction (in case motion is triggering it to turn on and maybe i'm moving more in bed the last few months than I was when i first set it up)
Thanks in advance for any advice

We've gotten all of our stays booked for our trip next year, except for two nights in Galway City. The prices of accommodation seem dramatically higher than anywhere else in the country! We are looking for September 11th & 12th, and have looked for both hotels and B&Bs.
I've scoured reddit and travel blogs for suggestions, and nearly every place comes out to 400+ euro for two nights (I think the lowest I found was 391, prepay only). Everywhere else I've booked has been in and around the 150 euro ($225 CAD)/night range, which we thought was reasonable. We aren't on a super tight budget, but $700 CAD for two nights as a room only rate is absolutely outrageous. (FYI the approx exchange rate is $1.50CAD = 1 euro)
All this said, we are looking for options where we can be within walking or transit distance to Galway city centre, so that we can leave the car behind. For us, that's usually a 20 min walk or half hour on transit. So we know we're being picky, but even places further out (Menlo Park, The Maldron, Salthill) are way more than we're willing to pay.
Currently I've been quoted at 240 euro/night at Adare Guest House, which seems like the best value for the money - still outrageous - and the price is MORE than what's on their website!
Are there any suggestions, any hidden gems, family owned B&Bs with good breakfast that may not be listed? All help is appreciated!
