 | Hello fellow Redditors, i was wandering through this sub and it helped me a lot, but i still cant decide with which vacuum i should go. My apartment is about 60m³ and to the bathroom there is a 1,5cm high edge. Can Robot Vacuums consistenly climb that? Greetings,
I'm thinking of reading of diving a bit into Control Engineering and Systems Engineering to use in my project where I need to achieve a certain value, for example when trying to control the temperature of water with heaters, but I'd also like to understand the PID-algorithm. I'm not an EE-major (I am well versed in differential equations and digital signal processing though), is there any book on the topic, perhaps in the style of Practical Electronics for Inventors you might recommend to me? It should ideally be on the easy-side with lots of examples

So, my daughter is nine, and wrote a very short story about a magical princess. My husband decided to teach daughter to use AI art to make a five minute animation based on this. Daughter is having fun, and is very proud of things like, getting background people on a street to walk and move. So of course she wants to tell her grandma (and everybody else) about it.
After listening to daughter describing how she'd been working all Saturday on the street scene, MIL asked "When it's done, can you sell this movie?" Daughter says, sounding (understandably) confused "No." MIL then asks "Why are you doing it then?" Daughter replies "Because I want to!" MIL still does not understand and asks a few more times what the point of the "movie" is if we aren't going to sell it somewhere.
After getting off the phone with MIL, Daughter tells me "Grandma's being silly again about stuff."

What I assume it's intentional, more RNG for shotguns, I noticed Epic rarity/legendary rarity have this bug, how do you players know It's a gun jam bug, Gun rhythm we remember the seconds it takes to shoot again and when that rhythm gets delayed we feel it instantly, is it intentional or? I don't understand at all, it's like that one player emps the shotgun or something because when they are 1 tap the gun doesn't shoot, might need to look into this Epic, might have an exploit problem, I mean recently. uh recently this year? Nevermind we have an exploit problem or an infestation of bugs.

I am a longtime hobbyist (wannabe pro) photographer and have a decent workstation which I'd like to uplift this Black Friday. My primary use is Adobe Photoshop, Topaz Labs, OnOne, etc., a basic photo processing rig. Since I don't have the time, the patience, or the money for a full MB/CPU upgrade so I'm looking for the next biggest bang for the buck.
I'm running an Intel Core i7-7700K Desktop Processor 4 Cores up to 4.5 GHz Unlocked LGA 1151 (7th gen Kaby Lake) on a GIGABYTE AORUS GA-Z270X-Gaming 8. I think this is the fastest CPU this MB is capable of, but a friend suggested maybe it can handle a Xeon E3 v5/v6 series (same 4 cores, more threads?). I don't see specific information on whether the MB can handle XEONs, so I'm checking here with you experts.
BTW, I am NOT OC-ing at all. Should I try OC or (if possible) should I upgrade to a Xeon?
BTW I'm also upgrading to a 4TB Samsung 990Pro so that will also help. Looks like I could potentially upgrade to faster memory (go from 3300 to 4000+) as well.
