 | About a year ago, my fiancé's grandmother was getting ready to move into assisted living and wanted all her grandkids to have something from her home. Among other things, she gave my fiancé and I a really cool yellow-ish plate that had been a wedding gift. It wasn't until I joined this group that I realized it could possibly be uranium glass. So I went out and bought a 395nm UV light and what do you know?! It glows beautifully and bright! Not sure if I’m the only one here, but I have tried several brands even the likes of McCain, but they always have this weird splodgy potato taste. I can never fry chips at home to taste like the ones from the takeout. Any reason why? Am I the only one?

Hi! I’m leaving ucd on Thursday and want to sell my nespresso machine. It is such a big money saver because you spend €8 on 10 pods instead of €4 on a coffee everyday. It works perfectly but I’m headed back to America and the voltages are different. It’s missing the cannister that collects the empty pods, but it doesn’t impact how it works at all. Ever since I could remember I wanted to join the Army life as it tends to decided otherwise I worked honestly mostly 😅 but I've hit a wall and I've left jobs to try other things and always seem to hit that wall I've tried to enlist before but always had other things come up that would stop that process I tried a couple years ago found out I was gonna be a father and that changed that tune real quick but now I've slowly uncomplicated my life and think I should give it another go ..... any advice ???.

2024.11.25 16:35 No-New-Therapy Should I text my “Right Person Wrong Time” a happy birthday text?
So we met and went on a few dates. We had pretty good chemistry but I unfortunately needed to move out of state. We only dated for 2 months but we went on several dates and also had 2 events in our industry where we ended up just hanging out together for most of it.
Shes a pretty independent person and I’m sure she’s over it already, as it’s been 8 months, but I wasn’t sure if I should text her or just leave it be. Her birthday is this Friday. I’ve texted her one other time since moving back and the conversation was very short. We never really texted all that much though.
I mainly moved do to lack of work in the city I was in/ some chances with my living situation out there. But if I could move back and potentially date her again, I would in a heartbeat.

Soon I will have some money coming and I'm looking for recommendations to build myself a small computer for my job. I work in data analysis and geostatistics, so I'm thinking that I could use an amd epyc or intel xeon processor with several cores/threads, together with a chinese cheapstake graphics card. Or a minipc. I don't have the most comfortable budget, so my options are several but they are not the best. So I come to you to ask: Is it better a minipc or build a pc? Which of the 1000 amd epyc / intel xeon options do you recommend me in terms of quality / price? what spects would have to have the power supply to be able to carry so much stuff? what should I look for to buy a chinese graphic? 2024.11.25 16:35 Bathfoamocean Need advice on re plastering and painting a wall
Hi We’ve started doing some renovations on our new house. The hallway was kind of trashed so we decided to replaster the walls. We sanded out one of the 2 coats of paint. We tried to reach the old plaster ( red colour) but it was way too hard. We then applied a water PVA solution after cleaning and once that was dry we replastered with Knauf 60 min fill and finish .
Sanded the plaster smooth we applied a 50% watered down coat of Leyland trade contract white. Once that was dry we procedeed with 2 coats of Dulux paint. After 25 mins it started peeling like crazy like in the pictures. Once it dried we peeled it off and the chunks came with bits of plaster
I sanded everything down today and want to try again. I would love some advice. Any help apreciated
TLDR. Replastered and painted my hallway and the paint flaked off badly need help.
