Hello,
I am working on my license as a single parent foster home and will be done by the new year. I have been trying to figure out how I am going to deal with summer care as I am accepting school aged children. I can work from home but I do occasionally have to go into the office.
This is my first time being a foster parent (and caring for a child in general) so I am not entirely sure what Is all available for parents who are working. I asked my licensing agent and she said that they offer daycare reimbursement for children who are not in school.

Bonjour, il y a 3 semaine je me suis fait une fracture du poignet (jsp quelle os) . Hier mon plâtre a pris l'eau donc je l'ai enlevée. Mais impossible de le remettre, j'ai donc enlevée tout ce qu'il y avait dedans,( la mousse quoi ) je les est attachés sur mon poignet et ai remis le plâtre. J'ai du mis prendre à plusieurs fois .Moi je trouve ça correct sachant que j'ai rendez vous dans 2 semaines. Es que cela vous paraît ok ou non ?

When I was a kid, I got a glimpse of what life without gender segregation was like. I was in the US, attending a normal public school because my dad was doing his degree there. It was temporary (just until he finished) but during that time, I experienced what felt like a more natural and balanced environment.
Then we came back to my home country, and I started going to school here. The culture shock hit hard. I live in an Arab country (very Islamicly influenced ) and the realities of my own culture were suddenly in my face.
But I guess the thing that pisses me off the most is that the absence of interacting with the opposite gender…
Like I’m not even talking about dating or any sort of romantic type of interactions. Just casual sort of kind of interactions.
….
I’ve been completely fine with it up until high school , I expected things to loosen up in college and it did because I did my degree as well abroad like my father.
But due to Covid things got a little bit complicated and I decided to just do College back home instead…
I went to a university called “ The American university of the Middle East”.
You go inside, everything is nice The overall vibe ,design, structure, and overall place really does give you vibes as if you’re in what a typical college looks in the United States.
But there was this one thing that was very hard for me not to notice when I came back from the states.
Gender segregation.
The question became, are we seriously still segregating genders even as adults ?
I asked a couple of friends and those who actually went to the specific campus that I was going to and they told me that after Covid they made The decision to completely segregate classes to male and female. ( Even though it wasn’t like this before covid)
Why????
Well Because males and females were flirting with each other, and families we’re complaining that it was an issue ….
This might sound a little bit funny, but I guess I always thought I might actually meet someone while being in college.
I have an uncle who met his wife through college while he was studying it was NOT the arranged type of marriage that usually happens .
I guess I felt like I had that expectation for myself at some point.
Like man, everything about this pisses me off. It makes me mad to the core and often actually disgusts because sometimes we aren’t able to behave as humans…
We follow these ridiculous rules and rituals and Follow them without question. And you would expect them to do their part and responsibilities that to align with these freaking beliefs. But then you find out that on top of the restrictions and limitation projected by religion.
They add another additional layer of culture and tradition, which makes it even more frustrating.
Like what the heck man ? All that for God? And for what to make your life even more miserable than it already is?
And to top it all off I’m not even sure that he exists or if I EVEN CARE if he exists.

2024.11.25 16:53 Hew812 LG 45” 1440p Ultragear to a 32” 4K AW or ASUS. Has anyone done this?
I’m currently using the LG 45” 1440p OLED. I am using a 4090 and a 7800x3d. I believe I want to go to a 4K OLED. Has anyone had this monitor and switched to either the ASUS ROG Swift PG32UCDM or the Dell Alienware AW3225QF? If so did the clarity of 4K make up for downsizing from a 45” to a 32”?

I picked up my kindle after almost a month, and sent some epubs to sync. But to my surprise, it doesznt seem to detect any available network. My router is emitting 2.4Ghz signals. The kindle used to identify my phone's hotsport but now that is also not showing up. Any help would be great!

Hello people,
I am compiling a bigger post on my SIBO battle, but now I need a rather quick advice on how to tackle my Gastritis that suddenly decided to show up/flair up.
I have hydrogen dominant and methane SIBO (40 hydrogen and 16 methane)
In my endoscopy last year they found I have Gastritis.
I had a few issues with Gastritis a year ago in terms of reflux (food coming back), and nausea, but that went away with shorter rounds of PPI's. About a month ago, I suddenly started to have a high burn in my stomach and chest, acid reflux, and a bit of stomach pain.
My gastro just gave me PPI's again at first, 40 mg daily for 2 weeks. Was better at moments, there were nights where I couldn't sleep and there were nights that were great, at well as throughout the day. But overall, the situation was not improving.
I stopped after two weeks when I read here that the PPI's might actually worsen my SIBO. But the acid reflux is still there, because I hurt my back I had to take stronger pain medications for a few days that worsened the gastritis apparently.
The second gastro gave me 80 mg of Pantoprazole for one week and then 40mg for another 3 weeks. It's been one week of 80mg and there are not much improvements. And again, I have nights that are good and even the symptoms yesterday just disappeared like there was never a problem! But returned today and so on.
I am also thinking that I might have low stomach acid instead of high. I've tried the burp test with baking soda in the morning a few days and there were no burping. I am kind of scared to test with betaine HCL on my own, since I don't want to make things worse for myself.
So, symptoms now:
- Acid reflux - Food not being digested good (based on ultrasound of my stomach and the fact that I can feel it in my throat after eating) - Sometimes nausea, not much - Constant feeling of something being stuck in my throat
Medications used:
- 80mg a day Pantoprazole for 2 more days, then 40mg - Any anti-reflux herbal medications (like those gels, and some tablets). They help, but many times they just don't work - Famotidine does not help, I'm not taking it anymore
So my questions for you all are this:
- Is it normal that it sometimes takes a lot longer for the therapy to start to be fully effective? - Should I keep going with it? - Is there an alternative to PPI's for this matter, can anything other help? - My gastro mentioned if I don't get better after the treatment, to go to endoscopy again. He wouldn't do it now because it was done last year recently and it was all good. - Might this be actually low stomach acid? Should I go to my GI again and talk about low stomach acid and test it?
Any advice is welcome, since non of my GI's have any idea about SIBO and how it relates to this, that's why I need your help guys.
