Hey Reddit, I need some advice about a situation in my relationship that's been weighing on me. I’ve been dating an amazing girl for four months now, and everything seemed perfect at first. We clicked instantly, and one of the main things that attracted me to her was her traditional values. She doesn’t have many close guy friends, which I appreciated, and we agreed that I’d take care of everything financially when we get married. We’ve been progressing really fast, with both of our parents knowing about us, and we’ve even gone on vacation together and planned a couple more. She’s been incredibly loving, respectful, and attentive, and I’m proud to be with her. But here’s where things started to get complicated. On our last vacation, I noticed something that made me uneasy. She got a message from an ex-colleague (a guy) who sent her a reel, and it turned out she had been sending reels to him as well. We had an understanding that there wouldn’t be any guy friends while we were together, and this didn’t sit well with me. Now, before you label me insecure, let me explain: I made my expectations clear from the start. I take care of her in every way, financially and emotionally, and when we went on vacation, I paid for everything—flights, hotels, meals, you name it. That’s just how I am in relationships, and I wanted her to understand that I expect her to respect the boundaries we set. When I confronted her about the guy, she deleted her Instagram, which had a lot of guys on it that she’d met for casual coffee dates. She did this to respect my feelings, and I appreciated it. But there was still another issue that came up: she had been chatting with another guy who she had history with, even while we were together. This made me feel betrayed. I had removed everyone from my life, and I expected her to do the same, but she hadn’t. I’ve been wanting to ask her for reassurance—that she’s not talking to any guy friends I don’t know—but I’m worried she might get offended. We’ve talked about this before, and she’s apologized, so I don’t want to make her feel like I don’t trust her. I’m really struggling with whether I should just trust her and let it go, or if I should bring it up one more time to make sure we’re on the same page. Our families are involved now, and we’ve got another vacation coming up that I’m paying for, so the stakes feel higher. It’s honestly a really uncomfortable situation to be in, and I don’t know what to do.

2024.11.25 18:55 ToneOpposite9668 What is up with Gameday in Downtown and through campus?

I usually park over near Hemlock by tennis courts and hang before walking through Village and by Neville to JH. But with the later start my wife and I decided to hit up downtown for some pregame food and walk from there.
What has happened? It's like a convention of "look-at-me" church freaks. At the corner of College and Mag - there was a guy up in the air on a ladder by the bank preaching as you waited to cross over to Toomers. Then as we headed towards JH after eating - there was some crazy asian lady yelling at you with a poster as you crossed from What-a-burger over to campus. Then there was a gauntlet of men handing out stuff and preaching at the brick opening with a bunch of signs And then down by Samford in front some guy in a suit with a lectern was there with a microphone/speaker system preaching to you as you headed down towards Haley. This one surprised my wife because it was "on" campus.
I don't remember it being that nuts in years past - I've been a season ticket holder for about 10 years now going to games And it must suck to have to hear this all afternoon if you are tailgating on the lawn area there. Not sure there is much one can do - but it was a bit over the top.
Which brings me to my favorite one of these when I lived in Denver and was heading to a playoff game and the megaphone guy told the crowd that "John Elway will let you down today and only Jesus can save you" Well this was playoff game where Elway converted 2 4th down plays on a game tying drive and won it in overtime with some incredible runs and passes vs Houston Oilers. I was looking for that guy after the game at Mile High - never saw him. Saw a lot of other great games from Elway and he rarely let me down.

Light jazz, adult contemporary, relaxing vibe music, unexciting music sounds good to me now. I have a fairly expensive ($1800) headphones setup, a Hifiman HE1000 Steatlh, and Fiio K9 AKM. If you have the money that you can blow selfishly, I highly recommend it. I can just put it on some Mancini, close my eyes, and take a 5 minute vacation whenever I want. It just takes me away, every time.
I listen to all kinds of music, still. But damn, Barbara Streisand, Herb Alpert and Barry Manilow never made me feel so good!

Hey all! Long time lurker, first time poster.
My partner and I have been taking lessons for years and are ready to move into horse ownership. We plan to board at our barn for 6mo or so, and then take him home. We've worked with our trainer to find what seems to be the perfect horse for us / our skill level. He is a 10 y/o QH with lots of experience in both the trail/mountains and the arena. He is well-trained, and was a great match with us during our test ride (responsive to leg, controllable motor with the right amount of go/woah; and sweet personality). We think he's perfect.
The one hesitation we have is the price. Our trainer says he's a bit expensive for what he is, and that he's probably worth closer to $11k. We're leaning toward buying him anyways with the understanding that, if we sell him down the line (which we don't anticipate), we'd likely take a loss.
Are we crazy; is $13.5k super high for a horse like this? Any thoughts are welcome!
